We chose Reese’s for our 6 mo Old English Sheepdog’s first groom. We had tried another groomer in the area for a “puppy cut” at 5 months and it went very poorly for a number of reasons. Because of that, we were nervous about making his first real grooming experience good so he can get comfortable with what will be a regular occurrence for him. We had heard from others that he may be more comfortable with a mobile groomer.

Wow did Reese’s surprise us in the best way. Trisha didn’t bat an eye and was an absolute magician with our pup, Hank. She was able to get through the whole multi-hour groom with Hank and clearly made him feel very comfortable the whole time. She texted us throughout the process, confirming what we wanted to do with a couple of mats that he had formed, and sending progress pictures along the way.

10/10 would recommend Reese’s and Trisha for your pup, especially if it’s a first groom!

Ashleigh is amazing! Cooper is a ~ 2 year old Australian Shepherd that sheds and sheds and sheds. It had been about 2 months and we’re not very proactive about keeping him brushed. There’s a before pic from day care and the pics from Reese’s. Reese’s is pricey but it’s 100% worth it. Highly recommended!

We love the convenience of having a mobile groomer come to our house, and we always know we’ll get the best service and care from Reese’s!

We trusted them with our previous dog before she passed, and just had our new pup’s first grooming session with them. Every groomer we’ve worked with has been very caring and patient with our pups, and it’s great that they send updates and photos throughout the process. Highly recommend!

We LOVE Reese’s Luxury Mobile Grooming! Our groomer, Jonas, takes wonderful care of our dog, Sunny. Sunny has previously been afraid of the hairdryer at other places, but never during her time with Jonas. We also receive adorable pictures throughout the process – which only takes 1.5 hours for our 17lb dog. Jonas has also informed me of some skin issues I didn’t even notice as an owner. On top of everything, they come to your home and park outside in their own self sufficient van. I would highly recommend Reese’s Luxury Mobile Grooming.

We have been using Reese’s Mobile Grooming (Emma) just over a year and highly recommend their services. Emma is always on time and takes good care of our cat, Bella. She always asks if we have any concerns and Bella is never stressed. Bella has long, very thick hair and she looks just beautiful when she’s finished. Thank you for taking such good care of my girl!

10/10 and 5 stars for Reese’s! Truly a luxury experience and they do not skimp. The groomers are kind and gentle with the doggies (even the nervous ones). Both my dogs are sparkling and I loved getting pictures of our babies during their treatments 🙂

Seriously guys, they are the BEST!!! The one time we had a small request after a grooming they came right back out and met our need immediately. We have been with Reese’s Luxury Pet Grooming, using their service for two dogs every month or two, for almost two years now a they are wonderful!

We love going to Barkin’ Creek! Rosie and Sami always get such great care here. The staff is super friendly, always in a good mood, and they really love on the pups. The grooming is consistently excellent—our girls always come out looking and smelling amazing, super CUTE. Plus, it’s nice having quality treats and products available right there. We always feel confident leaving them in such good hands.

I love the kitchen + spa concept! You can tell the owners are dog people as soon as you walk in! We took Milan for grooming, he is normally very anxious walking in but he felt super comfortable you could tell! He looks so beautiful and the pawdicure was adorable will be back soon for more treats!

Shyla does such a wonderful job grooming my puppy! He loves visiting Barkin’ Creek and always leaves looking so fresh and handsome. Everyone has been very nice, and it’s great to have such a wonderful place where my dog can come for a bath, haircut, and nail trim. Definitely recommend!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! My mini schnauzer is a very anxious pup, and Iishha went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable. She took her time, gave him extra TLC, and truly made his first visit a positive one.

Not only did she do a beautiful job with the grooming itself, but she also cared so much about his comfort and well-being. It was such a relief to see how well they take care of pets here.

Charlie was the best! We have taken our dog Kite here multiple times and he seemed the most comfortable will Charlie. Charlie also did an amazing job with the grooming of Kite. We will definitely be rebooking with Charlie soon!

Took my pup to get groomed here today and they did an amazing job. He usually has pretty high anxiety going to the groomer, but Charlie did a great job making him feel welcome and from what I can tell he had a great experience. Overall super happy with everything and will definitely be back!

We’ve been taking Archie, our goldendoodle to Barkin Creek Domain for about 2 years, since moving to Austin. George does the best job! We are always thrilled with Archie’s grooming. The place is super clean, everyone is so nice and I get to enjoy the Domain while waiting for him. It’s a win win! ☺️

I’ve been taking Winnie to Barkin Creek for years and we mostly see George (though everyone there is wonderful). She always comes out looking great, and George is so sweet with her. We also drop in for quick nail trims, and the front desk is always so accommodating—there’s always someone happy to take her without an appointment. Plus, their baked treat selection is fantastic!

I have been taking my pup to Barkin Creek for years and mostly at the Domain location. All the groomers are lovely. George has been our main groomer the past 3 to 4 visits and love his work and mostly his love for my fur baby. 10/10 recommend!

Blaze and I absolutely love Hannah She’s not only the sweetest groomer ever, but truly the best at what she does. We’ve been seeing her for about a year and a half now, and Blaze still gets just as excited as he did on day one—maybe even more! I’m pretty sure he has a little crush on her Every time we get close to the store, he pulls me in with excitement—then grabs his leash in his mouth and sprints upstairs, beyond ready for his spa day with his favorite human.

We groom him every 2–3 weeks, and Hannah always does an amazing job. Blaze is a Golden Retriever with a thick coat and a history of skin allergies and ear infections—but ever since we started seeing Hannah, both have been totally under control. His coat is soft, shiny, knot-free, and just beautiful. He gets compliments left and right, and we always say it’s thanks to Hannah’s care and magic touch! ✨

We are so, so grateful for her. Thank you, Hannah, for treating Blaze like royalty every single time!

Barkin Creek in the Domain always takes such great care of our boys—Boots (our Doodle) and Apache (our Pug)! We love how quick, efficient, and loving the team is with our buddies. Highly recommend them for all your pet grooming needs!

I’m new to Austin and was looking for a groomer for my girl Peaches. While exploring The Domain, we noticed Barkin Creek and I decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did!

From start to finish, my experience was exceptional. Their online booking system makes it easy to select your groomer and see their schedule, or you can call directly. The person I spoke with on the phone was kind and helpful in getting our appointment set up. I chose Hannah as our groomer based on her Google reviews, and she was wonderful. She made sure I felt heard and did a really great job with Peaches! She was the first groomer we’ve visited in Austin and will likely be the only one we go to in the future, though I’m sure the rest of the team is also excellent!

Near the end of the appointment, they also send a progress report with a photo of your dog, along with notes and feedback on how things went. You can also rate the visit and leave your own comments, which is a nice touch.

Lastly, shoutout to Athena for making checkout simple and being very sweet to both me and Peaches.

Overall, 5/5 — highly recommend Barkin Creek, and especially Hannah, if you’re looking for a groomer in Austin!

I highly recommend Barkin’ Creek! They were very nice, and treated my puppy Georgie like a prince!! They send text message reminders for your upcoming appointment and have the nicest staff who put you at ease for your puppy’s first time haircut! 5 ⭐️

This place is such a great spot for self dog wash. Such an amazing and sweet staff, and my dogs have never enjoyed froyo until this place. Highly recommend getting the maple bacon flavor.

They have 3 different shampoos and a conditioner, as well as a really easy to use and clean dog basin. It’s about $20 per dog which is quite reasonably priced considering all of the tools and soaps they have. Will def come here again if i stop in Austin again

We love coming here! They have an adorable photo op wall, super friendly staff, and a wide variety of healthy treats and foods for your furry baby. Plus they have a loyalty rewards program that’s free to join!

I just recently found Paws on Chicon and am so happy! All the staff are super nice and helpful. After buying a new 30lb bag of my dog’s then-current food, he was having some tummy troubles. I went back to see about a new food and one of the employees (sorry I didn’t get your name!) took so much time to help me find the right option 🙂 I highly recommend checking them out for any dog/cat needs!! You can tell everyone here really cares about pets and wants to help.
PS, the froyo is an awesome treat, especially as for summer!

We had a wonderful experience with picking up our complimentary adoption cat package. It was our first time going to this store, but definitely won’t be our last. I love the quality selections and feel like they pride themselves on trying to keep our fur babies healthy! Our new kitten is obsessed with the fussie cat dry food and snacks and we honestly wouldn’t have purchased it since we had no prior knowledge of the brand. I can’t thank you guys enough for your knowledge and expertise and we’ll definitely be back to restock ❤️

I would give more stars if I could. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our senior kitty is on a very specific diet that we have started ordering through Paws on Chicon. The Owner really does go above and beyond to make sure we are able to keep his food in stock. It is much appreciated. We even received a thank you card after our first purchase. Really love those personal touches and supporting small businesses that care.

Great local pet shop, high end stuff so it’s more expensive than your big box stores but you get great service and high quality products. We recently adopted a dog so we took advantage of their adoption special. They have everything you need from food and treats, to supplements, toys and harnesses; they even have dog wash stations with all the supplies! Stewart was very helpful is all my new puppy questions. Definitely recommend.

They always take such great care of Jared Dexter and always give me exactly what I’m looking for in his haircuts! This guy has severe separation anxiety but is never scared to get a groom here! The staff is professional, great at making my little man handsome/giving him the style of cut I want, and they really care for the dogs they groom! Couldn’t recommend this place enough after trying several groomers in South Austin area!

The absolute best place to get your dog groomed! My dog, Teddy Bear, has hip dysplasia and Mary takes such care with him by letting him sit for much of his grooming.

We had a walk in nail trim today (our first time at this place) and it was great. Fast, convenient and they did such a great job with my nail trim shy girl
I usually had her nails trimmed at the doggy daycare but recognized that she came back even more disturbed and had such a discomfort of me touching her paws and legs afterwards, no chance for me doing it at home. So I wanted to go somewhere, where I can see how she behaves in the salon with professionals. Total difference! Even back in the car right after I could touch her paws and she didn’t pull away. I can only recommend Laura’s Doggie Doo’s – they were so sweet and patient with her!

We have been going to Laura Doggie Doo’s since we moved to Austin about 10 years ago. We LOVE their staff and they do such an amazing job grooming our Cockapoos. We always look forward to grooming day!

When I moved to Austin, they were the only groomers willing to take on a new client. I’m glad that they welcomed us because they’re great!
They are always on schedule, pricing is fair and they always took care of my dog. Cooper has now passed on, but I’m grateful that this business took great care of my elderly dog when others in Austin wouldn’t even call me back

Mary at the front is rude and unpleasant. Although the dog groomers are decent, at least at other places like Petsmart you get kind and friendly service. Dog grooming is a fun and light experience – Laura, the owner should hire positive and fun people to handle the admin and front desk responsibilities.

Laura’s Doggie Doo’s is absolutely AMAZING hands down!!!!! From their prices to their customer service to my fur baby looking absolutely stunning every time when I pick her up. If you’re looking for a groomer that treats your dog like their own I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them you will not be disappointed!

Barklee’s is a fabulous groomer in Lakeway. Always professional and cheerful staff. My dogs look great and the owner works extremely hard at making every client feel special and accommodated

This was our first time visiting the salon and our 6 yr old lab mix came out calm, clean, and looking 10 pounds lighter! She had a full service for large dogs done by Clarissa who did a great job. Abby was also wonderful with our bully mix who will be visiting soon! Thank you both

We followed our beloved groomer Tonya, to Barklee’s when she moved, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our sweet Bentley and Lola. Ana, the owner, is simply amazing-warm, welcoming, and deeply dedicated to providing top-notch care. They treat every client, both human and furry, like family. The salon is spotless, calming, and filled with love. Tonya continues to work her magic with Lola, and we always leave knowing she is in the best hands. Barklee’s is more than a pet salon- it’s a place where pets are genuinely cared for and adored.

I had a great experience, Abby was able to accommodate me on a Saturday even though they were booked 2 months in Advance. In the past, I was dissatisfied with other groomers but Abby did a great job with my Aussie and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Ana and her team and incredible. Quality grooms, fair prices, efficient speed. Ana is also just a lovely person and makes the entire experience super enjoyable! They groom our two Bernedoodles and do an amazing job!

We have been coming to Sydnee’s (now Barklee’s) for over a year now. I love how easy it is to make an appointment and the friendly follow up before and after our appointment. Our precious doodle looks, feels and smells amazing after each visit.

It was our puppy’s first trim she was very calm going in a coming out. Her appearance after was much better than I hoped for.

Scenthound did a great job grooming my Springer Spaniel. She had some matting on her ears and needed a short, summer haircut. Plus, her breath smells so much better! She often gets nervous at groomers, and they took good care of her!

I HATE wasting money. This place is like the K-Mart of grooming services. You think you’re getting a good deal but will end up paying more than in the end because their services are absolutely the bare minimum. I could have hosed down my dog in the backyard for free and it would have been a better deal. To top that their services is bad. See the condescending answer to this review below.

Their app also sucks, and they are violating the FTC’s Click-to-Cancel policy by not allowing you to cancel your membership online.

The folks at Scenthound Circle C are great! They took really good care of my two German Shepherd mix goofballs. They came out squeaky clean and looking like a million bucks. The people here really care about the fur-babies health and well-being. Definitely recommend!

He looked great and I love that he didn’t have to stay 1/2 day in a kennel! However, the price I was quoted on the phone was quite a bit less than what I was charged. And honestly, it took an hour for my dog and I felt the charge was very high!!! $138 – not sure I’ll be back, truly just due to cost – I’ve used others that were $30-40 less…..same result.

Did not find great value with the price. Our dog was done in about 10 min, and came out soaking wet. We were advised that we needed the blow dry but that’s a lot more expensive and we had the membership that is supposed to have the “essentials”. My car ended up very wet and when I tried to remedy this with the staff they were very quick to cancel my membership. Based on these reviews they might come back and say otherwise but personally I would not go back.

If you’re going for routine hygiene they appear to be fine but please do not make the mistake of taking your furry friend with an undercoat here.

Their groomer (Rachel) is either inexperienced or there was a miscommunication. After dropping our Aussie there and saying he needs a short trim, our boy was completely shaved.

If you know anything about Aussies you know you’re not supposed to shave them. They have an undercoat that should not be touched as it helps them regulate themselves and if shaved, it will never grow back the same.

Extremely disappointed in how the management has dealt with this as well. Yes I was that Karen that asked for the Manager’s contact details but I was told they would contact me on Monday and they do not give out the contact details.

Fast forward to days later, I have not seen or heard anything from the store about why the miscommunication happened and what steps would be taken to rectify it. Safe to say I won’t be returning.

What a phenomenal experience. Took my two dogs to Midtown and was so pleasantly surprised at how good their service was that I felt compelled to leave this review. Just fantastic across the board. Easy the get an appointment although they are booked out for 2-3 weeks. Easy to exchange shot records. Great communication and appointment reminders. Most importantly, smiling, happy wonderful people that clearly genuinely care about my dogs and the service they provide. I am a low maintenance dog owner…pretty much always have my dogs shaved for comfort. The groomer went out of their way to confirm details that quite frankly I didn’t even know were options. Cash and June are super happy. This is a great local business that deserves support. Thank you Midtown!

The team at Midtown is incredible. They are kind, courteous, helpful, accommodating, and above all else and most importantly people who I trust my most treasured family member (my dog). Each member of the team cares deeply for all of the clients that they look after and are passionate about providing the little creatures we call our friends a safe and fun environment while we are apart. As a client for many years I cannot recommend Midtown highly enough.

I love Midtown Groom & Board, they’re so good to my pup! She’s an introvert who is very people focused and doesn’t like loud noises, so it’s challenging finding a daycare & boarding place she won’t hate, but she genuinely gets excited pulling up here!
Everything has always gone smoothly boarding with them, they obviously take very good care of the pups.

This is the only place I trust with my pups! I’m never hesitant to board them when I need because they always come back happy and tired out. Midtown always provides photos and videos too, which gives me such peace to see them having fun. I just got my dog groomed there and I’m beyond impressed. My dog isn’t the easiest to groom because she’s so wiggly and hyper, but they were extremely careful and accommodating!

The cute little photoshoots are a huge plus too!

We frequently take our dog, Hamilton, to Midtown Groom & Board, especially for daycare. They are friendly and attentive. I especially love getting feedback at the end of the day on who he played with and how he interacted with the team. Hami loves Midtown!

We took our pup sage here for three days when in Austin for a work conference. She LOVED it and has so much fun playing with all the pups. Highly recommend it was easy to sign her up and the staff was so helpful and friendly.

This was the first grooming venture outside of Petco and thought it was so efficient, friendly, and affordable for a medium sized pooch. Dropped off at 7:30 am and was picked up in the 10 o’clock hour. They asked questions and I’m so pleased with their results. Chose Midtown as we are customers of Jackie’s Play and Stay.

SugarBear has been loyal to Ada since he was 8 weeks old and he absolutely loves her. She is so good with him and gives him so much love. She does an amazing job making him look extra handsome and giving him cotton candy booty! She shows genuine concern for him- during his recovery from surgery she was extra cautious with him. She lets me know of any issues- skin issues , odd scab. She always remembers special days 🙂 price is very reasonable. Very accommodating to schedule .

I started taking my previous dog to as the fur flies several years ago and was always happy with the cuts they gave her. After she passed away I got a puppy and knew I wanted to bring him here. Since his first cut we have been booking with puppy specialist Jessica. He loves going to get groomed and I always love the results. My favorite thing is how excited he is to go and how excited he is when we arrive. I tell everyone to go here even if it’s a bit of a drive. I live on the east side and it’s probably 20-30 min drive but so worth it! The entire staff are so sweet.

Jessica is by far the best groomer on the planet. She genuinely cares for my basset hound Martin as much as I do. She’s patient, thoughtful and very communicative. Every time I bring Martin in to see her she dotes on him and treats him as if he was her own. I wouldn’t take him anywhere else. Highly recommend setting up regular grooms with her!!

My pup and I love As The Fur Flies! They do a fabulous job on my long-haired mini doxie, Charli! Holly is very friendly and helpful, and Charli loves her ❤️. ATFF also has an innovative booking system that can start with a simple text, leading to a clean, easy-to-navigate booking page. It is very helpful and convenient to use. Lastly, the cost is fair and what you should expect to pay for a full-service dog grooming. I’m so glad to have them in South Austin!

We’ve brought our Pom pup to Gavyn since her first groom. Couldn’t have asked for a more patient professional who has made our dog feel safe and at ease. We know she’s also getting training during her grooming services because she has gotten so well mannered to brush and groom at home too. We never have to worry about a bad haircut, or if our fur baby is being taken care of when we drop her off. We’re moving to Maine soon and the only loss we will feel from Texas, will be Gavyn. If you’re looking for a groomer you can trust this is the spot.

I adopted my dog Lulu whenshe was maybe 4-5 years old. I have no idea what kind of life she endured before being rescued but she was timid and especially scared of being groomed. Her vet prescribed heavy doses of trazodone and gabapentin so that her thick coat could be shaved down with minimal stress. Still then, I had groomers say they couldn’t work with her because she was so terrified, reactive, and had no control of her bladder or bowels. Then I found As The Fur Flies and I’m so thankful for their fear-free certified groomers. She was medicated for her first year or so of grooming but is now hanging out with Jessica every 6 weeks with zero meds! I cannot thank this team enough for their approach to grooming. Lulu is like a new dog whenever she comes home from a haircut and nail trim. Thank you, Jessica, for always taking the best care of my girl!

I absolutely love As the Fur Flies. Our pup Jojo adores his groomer, Ada. She does a phenomenal job on his baths, nails, ears, and teeth cleaning. I wouldn’t take him to anyone else!

Came here for the first time. Ordered a bine shaped banana bread-like pup cake for my dog Jello who turns 1 today. I was in the Austin area and decided to search for a cake since the Bryan College Station area doesn’t have a place like this. They have a lot of what you’d typically see at other dog bakery places, but they also provide grooming services. They have a few selections and sizes of these cakes. Once selected, staff starts decorating on the cake and she did waaaaay better than I thought. It was a beautiful cake that was boxed in a nice sturdy box. I was just worried about driving home and it shifting and getting destroyed, but it didn’t and Jello loved it. I wish they had a shop in my area, but I’d honestly make this drive for this cake. It’s very affordable and the decoration on Jello’s cake was awesome. She may not look so happy in my photo because she was afraid of the candle, but I assure you, she enjoyed her cake lol.

Staff is super friendly. The parking lot is in a tight narrow alley so drive carefully.

We have been taking our dogs to this location for grooming and supplies for many years. Sad to be leaving town and will miss all of the wonderful people here. Penny and Sophie say bye! They’ll miss you too.

Our sweet pup looks absolutely fabulous! just the way we imagined! We wanted to keep the length in her ears while thinning out some of the bulk so she stays cool. Huge thanks to our amazing groomer for pampering our baby!

It was my dogs birthday on 7/17/25. I thought I was giving my dog a nice birthday by getting her her first cake. I got her the smallest cake they have and gave it to my dog in 3 parts. My dog knows one thing. Don’t use the bathroom in the house. She hasn’t had an accident since she was a puppy. She just turned 9. I came home to two different spots of diarrhea on my carpet. It’s now 7/21/25. Since having the cake my dog has not had a single meal and has had diarrhea since having the cake. What was supposed to be a great birthday turned into a horrible one that she’s still suffering from. I won’t be going back and will NOT advise anyone get something from the bakery if they don’t want their dog sick. I’m but sure exactly what is in the cake or how fresh they are but you’re better off spending $21 on a nice steak.

I recently purchased a birthday cake from Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Austin to celebrate my dog’s 7th birthday. This is my third time buying a cake from Woof Gang Bakery, but it was my first time at this location. My dog Luna absolutely loved her cake! The cake smelled delicious, but I’m unsure of the exact flavor. The staff at Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Austin were friendly and helpful, making the whole experience enjoyable. The cake was beautifully decorated, making Luna’s special day even more memorable. I’ll definitely be returning here for future celebrations. I highly recommend Woof Gang Bakery to anyone looking to treat their furry friends!

Woof Gang Bakery is fantastic! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. Amanda, in particular, has been wonderful with my pup, handling baths, pet hair dye, and regular nail trimmings for my short-haired pitbull mix.
