Monica did an OUTSTANDING job! It was my dog’s first haircut and she was so informative! Definitely recommend her! If I was living in Austin she would be my go to 🙂
Staff is always pleasant, store is always clean. I sometimes take my young cat with me. And he never knows how to act in public, but being a typical curious cat, he likes to explore and climb stuff in the store...under my supervision of course. And I never felt like he was being a nuisance to the staff. The staff pets him and they greet me... Encouraging me that it's okay because he's just being a cat. The cats that they have up for adoption always so cute, I see how well tended to they are, always cared for and talked to and played with by the staff. I don't really have anything negative to say about this PetSmart location. A five-star review from me for sure.
4 stars for the kitties and the adoption days! Minus one star because they stopped carrying my kitties food brand with zero warning, but still go there for good service, litter and treats! And to visit the kitties.
Took my very well behaved Saint Bernard to this location for his grooming back in April. The person who groomed him was not the nicest, and told me how terrible my dog was at pick up. My dog has never had any issues getting groomed before, and is a very well behaved psychiatric service animal. I’m not sure if this groomer was having a bad day or what, but sadly I’ll never return there again. Dogs can sense when you aren’t kind, so please be kind and gentle with dogs or find another job I took my dog to a different Petsmart location grooming today, and they told me how sweet and kind he was and that they were "surprised" about the negative notes left by the previous groomer at this location because he was so well behaved and sweet! Some empathy and kindness goes a long way when working with animals and humans.
What a hack job! (See pics attached SMH) I just picked up my two small dogs from the grooming department at PetsMart on Research Blvd. Disappointed is the nicest way I can relay my sentiment, especially after I explained and even showed them pictures of their previous haircuts (as I do when we have to try a new agent). Sadly, the hair is cut very unevenly all over. I don’t know how this is even possible, as they were supposed to be using clippers with the selected length’s guard on it. Some areas around the mid-section and behind the legs were chopped up unevenly with what I can imagine were scissors. This does not look professional at all. Look at the attached pics. I specifically asked them to NOT cut the hairs from around the smallest dog’s ears and they did it anyway. Looks like a different dog (not in a good way). I asked them to give both dogs a teddy bear face, like they always have. Instead, one’s face is totally elongated (like a fox) and the other has the chin hair cut so short it looks like there is no bottom jaw. The worse part of it all is that I paid $179.70 for the disappointment. On the bright side, in a few weeks, their hair will have grown back enough that I can take them to a different grooming service. In short, If you just want random long hairs cut short, in any manner possible, this is your spot. But, if you care about what your pet looks like and you want to get what you asked for and paid for, DO NOT take your dog to this Petsmart location for grooming.
I requested 2 vaccinations for this year’s annual check up. I did not get any vaccination the first $75 appointment instead charged an extra $25 for anxiety medication. The second check up they could only do one vaccination and suggested I do a more stronger medication so my pet does not walk and only breath which was an extra at least $100 plus another visit, with no guarantee that they will complete the next vaccination. I have went to Banfield for my pet before and it did not take more than two visits to get my 2 vaccination request completed.
Monica shamed me for being on time to my appointment because the booking person for some strange reason booked me for two appointments for my two dogs one for 10:30 then one for 11. I only approved of the 11:00 so I was really confused. Not only did she shame me but she took it out on my pup. I guess she choose to hate me specifically that and I never even met this woman before. Instead of taking my business elsewhere after being blatantly disrespected by her I made the mistake of allowing her to go forth with the appointment as my pup needed the grooming. When I picked up my babe she had completely shaved him down to the skin.. she was supposed to only go as far as the third level of shortness depicted on the fur length chart as discussed. Obviously she knew she screwed up because she didn’t even deliver my pup to me upon arrival instead had someone else drop him off to me while Monica hid herself from me. My dog was shaved down to a pulp.. exposing skin and red raw paw pads, crusted poop still dried on his butt hole and his tail is basically non existent (he is a 2 year old Shih Tzu and has zero protection on his tiny body now. Also this woman tried to increase the amount that I was quoted on the phone as well. I never received an apology from this spineless female groomer who for some reason choose to hate both me and my dog that day. Now my pup is incessantly licking his raw paws and it’s apparent that he is hurting. Consistency is non existent with Monica as I have seen a review that she received where the customer was happy with her work and that is very concerning to me. It definitely felt personal. I was more than polite to this woman although she was absolutely disrespectful to me. To me, this is animal abuse. I don’t ever leave bad reviews, if I leave a review it’s only to express my praise towards a service or place. So this was pretty bad and it left me feeling pretty horrible all day afterwards.
