They charged me $1000 to move a pre-packed one bedroom apartment into a relo-cube 20 minutes away. Everything was packed horribly using boxes and other materials I provided, but was somehow still charged $100+ for “packing materials (enough saran wrap to wrap my couch twice and 2 used moving blankets). My furniture was damaged in the cube due to poor packing. When I called to discuss these issues I was met with some small man who was pretty dismissive, telling me that I wasn’t charged for one of the [used] moving blankets so I was “lucky”. P.S. they said “we don’t normally even wrap furniture.” If you use these guys make sure you watch all their work closely.

I was so impressed with our moving services from Aidan Rice, Darius, Dillon, and Darrell on May 2! Just a really top notch group of hand-working guys that made a tough move easier. We have never used professional movers before and were nervous about how they would treat our stuff – feeling anxious about the security of our valued/breakable items, and on the other end that they might be overprotective of random junk and we’d get charged for a ton of packing material. We did rent Bronko Boxes separately which the guys were able to use. This team was on board with our common sense approach and varying levels of readiness, asking clarifying questions when appropriate as my husband and I continued to pack onsite – and overall made us feel like we were in good hands and totally taken care of by actual humans. As I’m unpacking days later, I can see the amazing attention to detail and the utmost care taken with our belongings – from a glass serving dish inherited from a late family member, to my 4 year old’s crafts and tiny toys. Thanks to Rice, Darius, Dillon, and Darrell for making our moving experience as smooth as it could be!

Moving is a stressful experience but not with College Hunks. Every time that I called the College Hunks number, I was met with friendly and professional customer service representatives. They offered the best hourly rate and could accommodate my very tight and inflexible schedule. On moving day, Zach and Jose did an excellent job of moving my office furniture out of my office and down the road to a storage unit. They too are friendly, professional and kind. Highly recommend! I wish there was a way to give ZERO stars. College Hunks moving is the WORST. I had lots of damage, and not only did the movers try to claim it was already damaged when they saw me calling the company about the damage while they were there, the company did not provide a good resolution. I had to follow up numerous times to see if my claim was going to get resolved. They never apologized for any damage and the delay of my claim. I have moved many times, and I’ve NEVER received this bad of service before. Do NOT choose this company for your move. The movers were not experienced, they did not do what I asked in terms of protecting my furniture. I didn’t realize that each location is individually owned. So don’t be fooled by the all the good Google reviews. Looks like Google has one generall as a whole, as Yelp has them separated by locaiton. I’m talking specifically about the Central Austin location.

CAUTION: Get your own damage insurance before even thinking about using this company. We carefully packed our belongings and labeled the boxes containing china, art and other valuables as either “Fragile” or “Do Not Stack”. The company stored our boxes and belongings for five months, and when we moved into our new home, several boxes were crushed, furniture was damaged (even as it was being put back together) and we detailed over $800 in damages. The company only pays $.60/lb, which came to $48. Yes, we should have bought our own insurance, but we paid them over $5,000 for two moves and storage, and the carelessness with which they handled our belongings was inexcusable at any price.

Jerrell, Kasey, Mo, and Juan from Heavenly Moving were fantastic!! The worked 13 hours straight to move our family of 8 from two apartments into our new home, including disassembling and reassembling multiple furniture pieces. As my husband and I watched Nick, Darius, and Jojo help us move, he turned to me and asked, “is this what heaven will be like?” Our move was definitely heavenly!
From setting up the move time to the loading and unloading of our move, everything was great! Setting up a time for the crew to come was quick and efficient. Joanne was very helpful in answering all my questions and quick to provide the estimates.
On the day of our move, Nick called to see if they could come earlier than scheduled (which was totally fine by us!). They were respectful, courteous, quick, and worked together like a well oiled machine. I was super impressed by Darius carrying my large dining tabletop all by himself. And Jojo was super quick in wrapping everything up for us so that our stuff wouldn’t be damaged. They finished before our quoted estimated time and we only pay for the time they worked. Chase, Jacob, Nick, and JoJo were absolutely incredible. They packed up over 3,000 sq. ft. quickly and efficiently, handling every item with care. Moving out of a high-rise and into a multi-story home with tons of furniture and belongings is no small task, but they tackled it with professionalism and such a great attitude.
What impressed me most was their efficiency and teamwork. They not only got everything moved in a timely manner, but also returned on the third day to help me unpack and clean up all the boxes.

Our recent Unicorn moving experience was magnificent! My husband and I were facing our third move in four years, and we were dreading moving day. But from the moment our team of Steve, Shawn and Terrence appeared, we were buoyed by their cheerful and warm demeanor! I had never hired movers, but I’m disabled and can’t walk much nor lift heavy boxes. My realtor recommended Unicorn Moving.
Alan came and did my estimate 20 days before my move. I explained that I would have a lot of stuff packed before my move, so I questioned the $20,000 estimate. Alan said he overestimated because he didn’t know how much I would box up, but I would only be charged for work done, which he thought would be less than $15,000. Since the estimate said $10,000-$15,000, I booked it.
Steven was the lead mover of 8 movers and 4 trucks. Steven told me that a cash tip was expected, so I should go to a bank. I did a Google search that said $50 per mover was a generous tip.
I was not able to supervise all 8 movers, but I gave directions about what I wanted. I noticed one of the movers packing a very big box, and I asked if the box would be heavy, because I can’t lift much. He told me he was only putting light things in the big boxes. I asked another mover if they were labeling the boxes, and he said they were labeling boxes by room.
Before leaving, Steven asked if I got the tip money. He was confused when I gave him $400, because he had wanted $4,000, $500 for each mover. I told him that was a lot. Steven said he could get the bill down to $9,000, so with the $4,000 tip, my total cost would be $13,000. I said I would need to get the cash from the bank in the morning.
After Steven left, I texted him to see if he had accidentally taken my dolly. He said he would return it. I then texted him that we were cleaning up a lot of trash on the lawn- pizza crusts, empty bottles, empty tape rolls. My neighbors even complained that trash was left on their lawns, and several movers had been lying down on their lawn. (I suspect, so I could not see them.) I found it odd that the movers left so much trash when I had a dumpster. Steven apologized and said he would deduct some from the bill.
I then went to shower and found out that my toiletries and towels had been packed up, so I couldn’t brush my teeth, etc. Luckily, I had extra towels and could shower.
In the morning, Steven said the total cost for the move would be $9,363.28. I said I was going to hold onto the $4,000 cash tip until I got the final total, because I didn’t want them to change the total after they got their cash.
I was moving stuff to my storage place and to my house in Houston. When I got to the house, Ryan came to get the keys for my storage units. I directed him to stack all my tubs together and to stack the boxes by room, and to save a walkway in the middle for easy access.
Steven then arrived and started unloading at the house.
Ryan came back after they had finished unloading at storage, and the other 6 movers helped Steven. When they were done, Steven told me that the movers were so mad from unloading at storage that they didn’t want a cash tip anymore and wanted their hourly rate. I asked why the guys were upset, since the 10’ x 30’ units were roomy and on the first floor. Steven said the guys were upset that they had to unload really heavy boxes (which they packed) without a dolly and it was hard to move with 6 movers unloading. I asked why they didn’t have any dollies, and Steven said the dollies were on his truck. I asked why they didn’t come get them, since the storage place was less than a mile from the house. Steven said he didn’t know, but my new total was almost $18,000. I was very upset, and Steven said he still wanted to work with me, and he could lower the bill to $14,300 if I gave them a $1,700 cash tip. I gave the $1,700 to Steven which he distributed to the movers, and they left without showing me what they had done.
At my house, boxes had been thrown into the shed with a pile of unboxed clothes on top.
At storage, the first unit was crowded, the light switch was blocked, and there was no walkway. My second unit also had the light switch blocked, but there was a walkway. None of the boxes were labeled. And there were several huge open boxes where stuff had been thrown in.
Later, I saw that I was billed for $16,972.67, and not $14,300.

This company and their people are truly the best. I just had them get me moved from Austin to Wilmington NC. Kevin, manager, is friendly, professional, helpful, caring, responds quickly to questions. Chris and Kenny showed up on moving day and I felt as though my best friends arrived. They were so helpful in so many ways, took great care with my furniture, friendly, respectful, worked very hard. Everything arrived safely in Wilmington, including my 100 year old cabinet with glass doors that my grandfather made. Circumstances changed after 7 weeks so I called Kevin, asking to get moved back to Austin as soon as possible. He had to juggle things around but made it happen 4 days later. Cam and Michael flew in, and I had two more best friends. They worked very hard getting me packed again and were just as great as Chris and Kenny. Amazing experience with Square Cow Movers South Austin! From the initial call to the end of the move, the entire experience was handled professionally. I called for a same-day local move, and Xavier and Ryan arrived within a few hours. They worked quickly but still took the time to carefully wrap the fragile items and came equipped with everything (furniture pads, dollies, wrap, all the things I didn’t have). Terrible experience! Completely mismanaged time, not enough workers and so many broken things!!
We recently hired Square Cow Movers to move us from South Austin to Chicago. I don’t know how everyone else has such positive reviews as our experience was TERRIBLE!
1) No time management – On both loading and unloading day, the movers said they would be at our house between 8-9am, but they did not show up until after 10am. They then had to stay at our house until 8-9pm to finish both days.
2) Not enough workers – They had 3 guys helping in Austin to pack and load a 4 bdr, 3000+ sq ft house. They only sent 2 guys to Chicago to unload everything. 2 GUYS?! My dad (who needs a knee replacement) was unloading the truck, putting together tables/beds and my husband was carrying 100 lbs boxes and they still didn’t finish until 9pm at night. I felt horrible for the workers. They were working their butts off, but it was WAY too much work for 2 people.
3) Poor packing and no care for our items – So many examples of this. Throwing a computer monitor in a box with no protection, my dried bouquet of flowers from our wedding just thrown in a box and towels shoved on top of it (completely ruined), prints folded and shoved in a box with no protection, stuff literally stuffed in boxes with no care
4) No attention to detail or organization – They left so many items behind. Me and my dad had to go back and pack boxes. They threw items in random places. I couldn’t find anything as we were unpacking
5) Ran out of supplies. They ran out of boxes and pads. They used blankets of mine and my sons precious baby blankets to wrap stuff. They had nothing to cover the carpets, so there are dirt tracks all over our carpets
I’m not going to name the names of our guys because they worked SO hard. They were not setup for success by the company. We were grossly overcharged for the service and care that we received. They made an already incredibly stressful process even worse.

I was fortunate to have the same AMAZING team — Marco, Aaron, and Nemo — for all three services: packing, moving, and unpacking. So courteous and friendly!
I couldn’t believe how quickly and expertly they packed up my apartment. They checked with me the night before to make sure they brought all the supplies I might need. My beloved corner workstation won’t fit through a door, so they carefully disassembled it so we could bring it.
Once we got to my new house (3 hours away), they remembered where things had been previously, which made it easier to unpack. Let me HIGHLY recommend the unpacking service — it means you can “just start living” in your new home right away, instead of hunting through boxes for weeks.
Marco and team made moving practically stress-free, which is something I never thought I’d be able to say. I’m a raving fan and can’t thank them enough. They really demonstrated the message printed on their shirts — “Your home is sacred.”

I’ve used 3 Men Movers before and had a great experience with a different team, so I already knew I was in good hands (after getting a ridiculous quote from a different moving company that was recommended by my employer). This time, since the previous crew I had wasn’t available (they actually are in a different city), I chose Raymond and his team — and I have to say, I was absolutely blown away by the quality of their service.
From start to finish, Raymond and his crew were everything you’d hope for during a move: on time, fast, respectful, and incredibly professional. I apologize, I forgot the rest of his crews names even though they were introduced – all were great though! They didn’t waste a single moment, and despite the rainy weather during the intrastate move (from one Texas city to another), they still arrived on time and kept everything running smoothly.
What really stood out was their clear communication — Raymond made sure to update me if there was any chance of delay or if the timing might shift, especially since the standard moving truck was packed full. Their clear communication helped reduce my stress.
Would I use them again? Absolutely! I’ve had two excellent experiences with 3 Men Movers now, but this team in particular went above and beyond. I highly recommend Raymond and his crew if you want a move that’s efficient, smooth, and handled with genuine care. 10/10. They deserve every praise!

Gerardo, Devin, and Jose from 3 Men Movers did an incredible job with my four-bedroom move. From start to finish, they were friendly, professional, and highly efficient. Great moving team!! Four men came to my move, all capable and willing. They wrapped each item carefully, and brought a mattress bag and other materials with them. Also, they only charged for the time that the move actually took, and were transparent with no extra fees that we didn’t initially discuss. Would highly recommend! Very friendly and efficient.

I do not post reviews, but felt compelled after the worst experience and all of these clearly fake positive reviews. Absolutely worst company. Scheduled a move for (with Marco’s crew) moving and packing, and movers showed up saying they could not do packing. Even if I got the boxes needed. (I only needed books and clothes and a few kitchen items in boxes). I even offered a $200 cash tip to help, but they said that “corporate would have to have packing on the sheet to do so.” Note that moving and packing are billed at the same rate. This ruined my move and is causing me to pay more fees to my building for moving out late. What sort of company does not allow this? I rescheduled with All Sons and told them this story, and of course they thought this was the most ridiculous practice. I cannot say enough bad things about this incredibly terrible experience and rude crew. Completely unprofessional and horrible company. I assume they will also keep my deposit.

This is the second time I’ve used Einstein movers and had a great experience. Miles and his team were prompt, courteous, professional, and so friendly. These guys truly do go above and beyond and make the experience so positive. I’m so grateful for this company. They hire guys who are super clean cut and physically capable of doing the work. I cannot emphasize how important that last part is. I have hired a very reputable reputable moving company in Austin before and the guys they sent were just incapable of moving heavy furniture resulting in severe loss. Highly recommend! I moved from East Austin north about 15 minutes north and we did the move on a weekend. They scheduled it for the same weekend I called around my work schedule.
This company came highly recommended to me by family who used them a few months ago. My move was split across 2 days.

Day 2 was some loose ends and then the proper move with Luis and Caleb
All 4 of these young guys were extremely friendly and helpful. I feel like they all went above and beyond what was expected. They’re really good at what they do.
The company took one of the most stressful experiences. There is, moving and made it significantly more manageable. The price was very fair and they did most of the packing for me. They disassembled and reassembled the furniture, they put the furniture in the exact spots that I wanted it at the new place, and they were very efficient.
If you’re moving in Austin this is the company you want. Don’t just take it from me, also take it from the people who enthusiastically referred me to them for the same reason.

Once again, a great experience with Einstein’s. The pricing was reasonable, love that all materials are included. No hidden charges. For this job, they moved staging furniture locally for me from one client home to another. JP and Luis took great care with every piece, large and small. Work included disassembly and reassembly of several pieces. Even showed masterful skills in moving a King headboard up a tricky set of interior stairs. We have had 7 major moves in the last 30 years, and the move with Einstein was smoothest by far.
We had a six-man team of very professional, efficient, and friendly movers. They showed up on-time and completed the move within the estimate they gave us. They communicated clearly with us when they had questions.
Our furniture was handle incredibly carefully. Every piece was wrapped in moving blankets and plastic wrap. Nothing was damaged.
We knew from the minute they got started that it was going to go smoothly.

I’m very pleased with how quick the 2 gentleman removed everything. My only complaint is that they barely spoke any English so communication was a bit difficult, and only received 1 text saying they were on their way. Other than that I would definitely recommend using this company for any large junk removal.

I rarely write reviews and give more grace than most, but I had to on this company because the experience was awful.
We were cleaning out a house of a family member who passed away and we thought this would be easy. I sent my pictures in, talked to someone on the phone said I needed a morning pick up got my quote and set it thinking it would be in the morning and we could drive home (8 hrs away with no traffic).
Come the day of pick up I get a message that the person coming is 3 hours away and won’t be there until between 12 – 1, clearly not morning. Because they were going to be late my husband and I removed most if the stuff in the house to the garage ourselves so I went on the link to change our order thinking that since the things were now in the garage they would be part of the $800 garage clean out instead of the individual pricing for removing them from the house. That was a nightmare yo convey to the two different people contacting me and I gave up.
When the guys showed up it was clear they would not be able to get everything and they said they would take one load to the local donation center and then come back. What was the point of taking the pictures except to charge more?! I thought they would send someone who would be equipped to take everything in one load.
Strike 1: not a morning pick up
Strike 2: awful communication trying to change my order since we moved stuff ourselves
Strike 3: not being able to take things in one load.
I would like to say that the two men who came were great and I explained I was not mad at them but with Load Up for their poor communication. It was not their fault and they did help us come up with a solution so that we could get on the road.
Maybe I should have researched more about them and realized that they were not a local company, but you are not always thinking clearly during certain life events.

I usually don’t say much in reviews but I really appreciate the service i received from LoadUp. My experience with LoadUp from the moment I contacted them till they removed all items from my home was just exceptionally great! They stayed in contact with me as needed, and the guys (Albert and another guy) that came to remove my items were lightning fast! The price was good for me, and they gave me a discount as well. They were very professional and removed everything so fast and efficiently. Very happy with the service. I will use them again when needed without question.

Highly recommend! We hired the team to move a baby grand piano about 30 miles, and then did an add-on of moving out our old piano to a friend’s place! Best price for the baby grand move in the market! And the team was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional!

From Day 1 (packing) to Day 2 (moving), this crew worked tirelessly and with exceptional care. They were incredibly polite, thoughtful, and clearly experienced. What really stood out was their attention to detail and human touch: they even took the time to ask for my kids’ names so they could label their stuffed animals properly. That kind of personal consideration meant the world to us during a stressful move.

Hands down the absolute best experience I’ve had with movers. Needed help loading a 26’ U’Haul for an out of state move. Guys were on time and ready to work, and boy did they. They had all the equipment and supplies needed for the job. They worked together like a well trained team and fully loaded that truck in about 2.5 hours. Every inch was utilized, I was very impressed. As a Real Estate sales agent I’m very protective of the list of companies I recommend to clients, and I can honestly say Muscleman will be the only moving company on that list. TLDR: Issues with packed items, their QA department exists to provide excuses instead of solutions or help, and their total cost was 69% _more_ than the original estimate (original estimate $1537 for 4 bedroom house, modified estimate at $2206, ultimate payment was $3736 not including tip
I initially requested a quote (1st image) for packing only to compare against 2 other national van lines. They came in _very_ low comparatively (at $1537), so I asked the estimator Sean Rogers to confirm the accuracy of the estimate, and so they modified the estimate to add more hours and double the supplies, stating, and I quote: “I’ve done these estimates for so long, and I promise you won’t even come close to using all these supplies or all of these labor hours”. So, I went with them, with the new estimate at $2206 (2nd image), closing the door on using any other packers since booking anyone else (including Two Men and a Truck) requires ~week heads up.
Day of, 2 hours in, the packers requested support from a manager because they said the 2 of them would not be able to finish the job. The manager said they would get 2 more people out, and additional supplies, to finish it that day. They were unable to finish it day of, which left them with 1 business day before the loaders came to finish the job. The first day cost $2763 (3rd image), and the job we hired them to do was still not complete. They returned Monday, finishing the house, and repacking several boxes that were improperly packed (4th image as an example). This day cost an additional $973 (5th image), for a total of $3736, which was 69% _more_ than the second estimate, and this does not include the tips for the workers.
Further more, we had to repack 3 of the dish boxes, as our loaders (a different company) wouldn’t take the dish boxes due to the “rattling” noise they made due to empty space left inside them.
On Saturday I was told I would be contacted by a QA manager to discuss rectifications. No call came. I tried calling on Monday, but it went to voicemail. I tried calling Tuesday, and I only reached a dispatch manager, who agreed that the situation was not ideal, and that they would get a QA manager to contact me. No call happened that day. I called Wednesday, and again voicemail. Thursday I was finally able to get a hold of their QA department, and the manager Tristan was aware of my situation. However, they did not attempt to rectify anything related to the charges, and instead said, quote: “I got the services, and so I had to pay for them all”. After a back and forth challenging how we could not simply not pay at the end of the day when they showed us the greater than estimated charge, nor could we go with another service due to having only 2 business days before the loaders came, the call ended with no resolution.
As an aside, they do not supply their workers with proper tools. They needed to cut tape with their teeth, and only had packing paper (no bubble wrap, or foam). They also were not always provided with labeling tool (stickers or sharpies) and I had to provide sharpies on the second day.

The 2 movers were on time and took great care with all the items being moved, wrapping them in blankets and then in cellophane. They didn’t rush but worked steadily, finishing the packing sooner than I expected. They were very professional.
On the unpacking end, they were just as efficient and effective. We were moving from one town to another, and they made a tough challenge seem much easier. I recommend “Two Men and a Truck” – they were careful and thorough from beginning to end.
