Joe Koen & Sons is an absolute treasure here in Austin! Bill Koen designed my engagement ring and wedding bands, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. He took my rough sketch of a wedding band and brought it to life with artistry and care. Even more special, he incorporated my grandmother’s sapphires into the design—creating pieces that are both stunning and deeply sentimental. Bill has been wonderful throughout—patient, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making everything perfect. Even after the rings were finished, he’s continued to help with sizing and cleanings, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. If you’re looking for a jeweler who combines exceptional craftsmanship with genuine care, I can’t recommend Joe Koen & Sons enough. They’ve created some of the most meaningful jewelry in my life, and I’m so grateful for their expertise and kindness.

What a charming, classic jewelry store! While I don’t typically wear expensive jewelry, I have a very special silver necklace with three large raw tourmaline stones that was tarnished and in need of polishing. I wanted to trust a professional to do this in case the stones had to be removed or adjusted, and to ensure I didn’t accidentally ruin them trying to do it myself. I also try to support local family businesses when I can, and you can’t get more local and family than Koen’s since 1883. The gentleman was so gracious, and it was only $40, much less than I expected. The necklace looks as good as new! I’m now looking for reasons to go back. 🙂

They took the fragment and turned it into this amazing piece that honored and improved upon the original design.
