Extremely disappointed this evening with the way a store interaction occurred. I’ve been a regular customer since the S. Lamar location opened and always had great experiences with the products I purchased and the staff interactions. However, this evening I was initially told by a staff member an item priced item with a red stamp was 50% off. I asked the staff member to hold it for me while I continued shopping and I intended to purchase it. Upon returning to check out, I was told by the same staff member it was stamped incorrectly and the original price was what I would have to pay: I’m sorry, but this is bad business and representation of a sale. I will take my business elsewhere.

great selection of clothing especially longhorns stuff. love their prices and sales they have. highly recommend if thrifting is your thing which it is mine. can’t wait to go back and shop some more

I've always been a fan of Uptown Cheapskate. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and I usually can earn credit for my sell. Cash is great too, but I can stretch it more while going when they have sales as well. Especially the flash sales. If not, I get points and feel good about donating to worthy causes. So excited there's a North Lamar location as well as South now. 5 out of 5 stars, thank yall.

I truly hate to leave a negative review because I have been a repeat customer and consigner for a while, but today I came in to sell a basket and bag of items that were neatly folded upon arrival, but were returned a HOT mess. (Photo taken at pickup counter upon items being returned to me). I understand that, for some reason, the buy counter was closing early this evening (at 6 instead of 7 pm), and I got my clothes in at around 5:45, but if the clerks were not able to process my clothes in a professional and orderly manner, then they should have told me to come back another day. I understand that the store can be picky with items, but my entire basket and bag of clothes had MANY Free People, SKIMS, Levi’s, (a FP dress is visible in the photo lol) and other good condition brand name items returned to me from a variety of seasons (hot and cold weather clothes), which, with them only purchasing 9 items and the messy state of the clothes returned to me, tells me my clothes were not given the appropriate appraisal process. Consequently, not only did the store lose out on items, but also wasted my time waiting an hour in the store. I have sold items here many times (employees can probably verify using my name in the system) and my items have always sold decently, so this experience was extremely frustrating for a repeat consigner. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Tax free shopping in store with trade! Cool I didn't know! I adore uptown even more! I sure had my eyes on a boss pair of black leather pants! Un hemmed too! I'm tall! This would have been covered with my tax free trade! I'll keep you near and dear friends! Uptown cheapskate! On south Lamar check it out! Literally!! Excellent staff excellent prices! I sold here a little bit ago. Wait time was a bit lengthy for a weekday, but I didn't mind perusing! The entire store was neatly organized, however their xs selections was very limited. When I was cashed out, I told the buyer I had stuff I wanted to buy. Instead of the usual tax free trade, I was given a 20% off discount! That was pretty nice. However as a disabled person, the seating options were VERY limited. All three seats were taken a majority of the time. Standing/walking for two hours is extremely difficult for me, so unless this is fixed, I don't think I can sell in the future. Its quite a drive from my place to this location so dropping off osnt an option. Please consider more seating spaces.
