Enjoyed my cab driver. He picked my dog and I up to head to the animal emergency room at 12:30 am. He made my assumed to be sad night pass quickly with conversation. There was a good since of human presence that was nice to have. I'm a single young woman and I felt safe and in his car. I highly recommend this service.
Highly Professional Taxi Service On time, driver extremely polite and attentive, car sparkling clean. Special note to their customer service, Excellent customer service, thanks Said. Our driver was good, we needed the service 2 hours later after our arrival to the airport and the driver was on time.
ATTENTION! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We called for a van to pick 6 of us up. Because of the distance (over 20 miles), they asked us to prepay by credit card, which was fine, and which we did. 10 minutes into the trip the driver asks my friend sitting in the front seat if we had paid. My friend yelled back to me (I was in the back row) to ask if I had. When I indicated we had, the driver insisted repeatedly that we had not. That forced me to sign into my credit card account in order to pull up the information (a process that took 10 minutes due to poor cell phone service). Once I passed my iPhone forward to show the $95 charge, he said, oh okay, and then asked if I wanted a receipt. He then sends me a digital receipt which I received immediately. He then proceeds to tell my friend that he was "just kidding" and explains that their policy is always to require prepayment for trips of 20 miles or over. This was at best terribly unprofessional service and at worst a failed attempt (hoping that my friend would not realize that I had already paid and would pay a second time) to scam us out of $95. Based on the evidence, I infer it was most likely a failed scam attempt (which is why he did not say he was joking during the 10 minutes it took me to pull up the credit card charge). Moreover, the van was gross. I would not use this company. This taxi company should be investigated by the State Attorney General.
I used the slim jim service and it was the best experience I've had. Trust me I'm an experienced pop-a-lock customer (three times in the last 2 months). His customer service was great and he was a professional at unlocking my jeep wrangler which is incredibly difficult to do (no automatic doors/windows). He had the best tools I've seen be used that did not scratch my car like others have. It took him under 10 minutes and the rate was very affordable. Use this guy if you're in Austin and get locked out so that you don't get overcharged or get your car scratched up by a clueless person.
Dispatcher was very rude. I was calling for my aunt and I asked if they had a van because she has three TVs and he told me yes then hung up. And when my aunt called asking the same thing he said no very rudely and hung up in her face.
I never got a call from the first diver something I was told I would receive in 2 minutes and when I called to check where my cab was the owner told me that his diver said he did call me but I didn't pick up which was a lie. The second cab driver actually called my phone and he was pretty cool. It sucks it took over an hour and ahalf to get a cab that only should of took 5 minutes to get to my location.
THEY OVERDELIVERED. I needed to be at the airport at 4a. I was worried about being stood up as I was the first and ONLY time I used Über. The dispatcher assured me that the service was professional and would respect my time. I asked if I would receive a text message. Yes, was the answer. At 3:37a I received a text message that a driver was outside and that I should not rush, but "take my time". I made it out before 4a and had a great chat to the airport. The driver helped get my bags in and out of the car, even taking them to thr curb for me. Top service, all the way. I'll use them again and again.
