Specifically, Will Christensen personally oversaw our project and his professionalism and attention to detail were evident from our very first conversation. He took the time to thoroughly explain the entire process, timeline, and what we could expect at each stage. LOA made dealing with the insurance claim process incredibly smooth. I typically don’t leave reviews often, but the work done by Jay and his team from LOA Roofing was indeed fabulous and worth six stars. I recently had my entire roof replaced by LOA Roofing, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. When my water heater went out, I called several plumbing companies and selected Radiant because of their reputation and ratings online. They had somebody out to me within two hours.
The technician was extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He worked with me to get the tankless water heater that I thought would be the a good replacement, providing alternatives as well, so that I had a thorough understanding of the selections. The work was outstanding and was able finish that day even though a torrential rain occurred while he was completing the job. Probably not the cheapest guys in town, but they know what they’re doing so you can be assured that the job is done correctly.

Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning did an excellent job with my installation. The work was top-notch, and when they spotted a small issue, they fixed it immediately without any hassle. Honest, professional, and reliable—highly recommend!

Excellent service from Erik Stratton who came out and replaced our water heater, garbage disposal, and set up a Flow-Tech water treatment system. Our old water heater was 14 years old, and without any safety features. Erik did a fantastic job getting everything installed, and advised us on how to maintain our new system. Radiant is more expensive than some places, but I’m willing to spend more to get the job done right the first time. I believe Erik did just that!

Called Radiant and quickly scheduled same day HVAC appt. Sami communicated that he was on his way. I told him what issues were and he quickly started investigating and letting me some of the reasons could be why system could stop working. He quickly identified that our system was definitely not doing great. I was there observing and unfortunately and we finally needed to replace our entire system. He was surprised that it was the original system when the house was built. Over 20 years ago. He gave me his recommendation and help set up to have a technician come out to inspect and give us a AC options even coordinating to have 2 stand alone units to get us through until system is replaced. Sami was informative throughout the whole process and his advise. Thanks for the speedy process.

I called Sunday morning at 8:40am. They were here at 9:30am. The fixed my clogged kitchen sink by 10:20. Great service, great experience. Brad was my technician. He was friendly with my dogs and did a great job. They were transparent about pricing. Highly recommend.

I contacted Radiant Plumbing to help detect a potential water leak, as my Austin water meter was showing a usage of 25 gallons per hour. Before calling them, I tried troubleshooting myself by turning off valves to the toilets, washer, water heater, sprinkler system, etc., but nothing worked and I didn’t see any water pooling outside.

When I called Radiant Plumbing, I was told there would be a $39.90 trip fee, and that the total cost would depend on what the investigation required. The technician arrived, checked the toilets, walked around, and then said he suspected the leak might be near the main meter. He recommended digging in that area and, if a leak was found, repairing the leakage and replacing the pressure control system, which would cost between $3,200 and $5,300. If no leak was found, I’d still be charged about $1,600 for the digging, and the next step would be a three-step diagnostic and isolation process costing $3,500. Basically, there was no clear detection of a leak, and the process seemed like it could turn into an endless loop of expensive diagnostics.

In the end, I was charged $200 for a minimal diagnostic, which I understand given it was a Saturday afternoon, but I would have been happier if the diagnostic had actually been helpful. The next day, I did more troubleshooting myself and dug out the main valve from the soil. After turning the master valve on and off, the water meter stopped running, indicating there was no leak after all. The issue might have been with the water meter, the main valve, or the pressure control system—I’m not sure.

I left a one-star review because of the high prices and the unhelpful diagnostic.

This has been by far the worst interaction I have had with a company. I have used Radiant in the past, with smaller projects and had no issues. This most recent issue was for a slow and/or clogged drain (2/28/25). The tech that came out advised he believed the issue would require scoping the system and would get a plumber out to do that. The person that showed up to do that turned out to not be a licensed plumber at all. This person advised there was a collapsed pipe that would need to be excavated and replaced. The quote for this was $15k. This was excavated later in the day, only for us to visibly observe the pipe was intact with no structural issue. A Radiant plumber arrived later in the day with the intent to replace this pipe. He advised the pipe did not need to be replaced and further informed us that the employee that diagnosed this issue frequently does this and is not a licensed plumber. I immediately requested a supervisor to contact me so we could accurately determine what needed to be done. To date, I have not received call from a supervisor or anyone but the original person who diagnosed the $15k problem. I called multiple times asking for someone to diagnose the issue as it still needed to be repaired. I was told each time “they were in a meeting” and would call me back. Since I could not get a call back or get the issue resolved, a stop payment was placed for the $15k charge. I continued to try and get this matter resolved with zero assistance from Radiant management. On Mar 18, someone from from accounting called and advised we would only be billed for the excavation of the pipe. This somehow totaled over $3k (see photo). This was paid in full so I could move on from this. Today, 4/14, I learned that Radiant again charged me $7k, 50% of the original quote, for a job that was never done, much less completed. I would not asvise doing business with this company, for any level of project or repair, bases on the lack of integrity or honest business practices experienced. There are numerous other options that wont upsell you, misdiagnose or otherwise rip you off. I have receipts, time/date stamps and recordings of all interactions and communications, so this is significantly more than just an unhappy customer. The bottom of their invoice states a supervisor will inspect all projects to ensure completion and satisfaction. This is not a statement they stand behind.

Someone from Radiant has read this review and responded with a copy/paste reply that they use for the multitude of negative reviews that have been left. The number they state to call is the exact number I have been calling, to no avail. There has still been no resolution, I have not been refunded and no management representative has contacted me.

Technicians notified me before coming out, they did a really good job . Left my carpets instantly clean and smelling fresh. The guys were fast and friendly

Fabian did a great job! He even moved stuff around for me that did not move out of his way. Floors look amazing. They were on time, friendly and fast.

Brian and Carlito did a great job! They were both very courteous and professional.  I found K&M to be a whole lot more customer service oriented than a big company competitor of theirs.  The time window that K&M offers for the customer is completely reasonable.  The office administrator was great (I forgot her name) and the communication was top notch. I will be calling them this coming holiday season for some help with my area rugs and wood floors.

Fabian and Jose did a fabulous job cleaning two armchairs, a loveseat, and two area rugs. They all look and smell great! The team was prompt, efficient, and courteous.

From Rulina in the office to Skyler the technician K&M took care of all of needs! Our dog Apollo passed away on Tuesday, I called K&M on Thursday and unfortunately K&M did not have any availability, I explained the situation and that I was in town from California until Sunday and wanted upholstery cleaning for my son before I left.

Within an hour Rulina called me back. They moved something’s around and were able to fit us in on Saturday. I can not thank this tremendous team enough!

2 stars because they at least gave me a good deal on a good unit, and the AC and furnace unit was installed correctly but the ductwork installed is poorly done and needs replacement after less than 3 years. They did promptly came back to fix a mistake (installed a return as a supply), which is good service if poor craftsmanship.

Abacus installed a new unit and ductwork the day before Thanksgiving 2.5 years ago and I think they really rushed the installation job of the ductwork, and also did not replace all the ducts that they had agreed to. The agreement was to replace all the ductwork that was reachable in the attic, and leave the ductwork in the walls. They missed or neglected to change 2 ducts and one of them is now the source of some water damage due to condensation in the insulation.

The installation of ductwork is a total mess. So many separate connections into a too small airbox, with the ductwork just jammed through rafters and piled on top of each other on the ground. It’s no surprise that 2 ducts are now full of water in the insulation and need to be replaced.

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that this installation was done badly because it was the day before a holiday, but I still wouldn’t recommend this company for duct work. They did fine work on the unit itself but I really wish I hadn’t paid them extra to replace ducts, they only made the problems worse in the long run.

Update: The reached out, I took the morning off work so a tech could come take a look. He took some pictures, said his boss would call me back, then they blew me off.

I can’t recommend Abacus enough; they are super easy to schedule with, reliable, efficient, and provide outstanding quality results. We’ve been able to rely on them for several needs including new electric wiring, water heater maintenance, and most recently HVAC maintenance. If you need HVAC service ask for **Pedro**! He is very knowledgeable, respectful, thorough, and does an excellent job making sure you understand the work that has been done. Before he left I had an email with a receipt, a detailed report of everything he did with numbers/readings from the unit and detailed pictures of everything! We were worried about mold and he didn’t just tell me there was no mold- he SHOWED me pictures of the inside of the ducts, and all the areas that are sealed correctly to prevent mold. Our family feels so much better now! We will continue to call on Abucus for our homes needs, not only because they are reliable and keep us informed, but because we feel safe having them in our home. Thank you Abucus and thank you Pedro! Keep up the excellent work, youre making a difference!

After a realtor inspection revealed problems with our HVAC, which caused the buyers to cancel our home sales contract, I frantically got on the phone and called various HVAC companies to help us out. The inspector said the HVAC needed to be replaced. The first HVAC technician this morning gave us an estimate of $2000 for repairs, plus the service call charge of $85. Then, Brandon Martinez of Abacus showed up, at the end of his busy day, on a Friday evening. He politely and methodically examined the situation, while systematically servicing our HVAC system. He made a couple of suggestions to keep the unit going, while diplomatically suggesting we prepare for the eventual replacement of our HVAC. All the while, he educated and explained everything that he saw. His price was $79, for two hours of intensive work.
He chooses to work on straight hourly wage and not get entangled in the web of commission. Smart young man! Appreciate his honesty!

Update August 14, 2025: I was contacted by Joe Trevino of Abacus, he listened to my situation and helped me get a resolution on the matter. I am glad the company has someone that listens to customers and understands customer concerns. I have updated the review for the time being and will continue to do so in the future. Like I mentioned in the original review, I believe this is a good company with good workers behind it, and I will be happy to continue to use their services in the future.

I did a full electrical upgrade with Abacus, took the service from 150 Amps to 200 Amps. Full exterior and interior panel upgrade, with the upgrade I got their Abacus VIP membership which includes a set of inspections like Electrical, Water heater maintenance, and AC Tune Up. On June 9, they came over and did a AC Tune-up, which their own website states they would tighten any electrical connections. On July 18, my condenser coil stopped working entirely and my house was up to the 90F due to lack of AC. When their technicians came over, they discovered burnt electrical connections due loose wiring. When I asked why would there be loose wiring when it has not been 2 months since they inspected the unit, they said it was not something they would take responsibility. I tried calling multiple times and speaking with a manager, but I was told they were reviewing the matter, at the end they reached a unilateral decision that it wasn’t their responsibility, and that I would have to foot the bill for the repair. This means that getting an AC Tune-Up/Preventive maintenance with Abacus does not assure everything is working correctly with your unit. The work notes for June 9 state that all electrical connections were tightened-up, but that clearly wasn’t the case. A new breaker, electrical panel and such did nothing in this case since the first thing that should have been addressed during the tune-up was completely ignored. The lack of communication from the management team is clearly a red flag. I have filed a proper complain with the BBB as this feels very unfair and deceptive practice. Before this, I had the company in very high regard, even though all of their other work was incredibly expensive it was also done very well and quickly. For the time being, I will leave the review at 1 star, and will change it as the situation progresses.

I believe they charge reasonable prices and they are a good company with good workers behind it. However, this situation has changed my view of the company and their care for their customers. I already spent a lot of money with them and I have no problems continue doing so in the future for more home projects and care. However, I will not let them take advantage of something that they clearly should have discovered during their services and could have been prevented as stated by their own website descriptions and advertisement.

Once again, I will update my rating as the situation progresses and I get proper response from ABACUS, which so far has been almost null. Most if not all communications have been unilateral.

They came the same day to repair my A/C. I called on a Saturday afternoon and they were there by around 9pm. The technician was a great guy. He clearly explained to me what went wrong and gave me a detailed account of the necessary steps to prevent this problem in the future while fixing the problem. My HVAC system is now working again. Before leaving he even went in the attic to ensure that I had proper insulation. Overall I highly recommended this company if you’re facing any issues with your HVAC system!

Even though I had given them the wrong paint name they were quick to come out and reroll the walls that were wrong color to ensure they matched perfectly. They were prompt thru entire process and cleaned up after themselves and even touched up a couple places that I had previously painted and needed touching up without my asking. Great experience from beginning to end.

The team at That 1 Painter Austin worked quickly and communicated well throughout the project. However, some of my yard decorations, fence, and fixtures were unintentionally damaged during the process. I’d suggest they take extra care to protect surrounding areas and pay closer attention to detail. Overall, they were professional, and with a bit more caution, I believe their service could be excellent.

I had Julio come out to my new build home to give me a quote on painting the exterior of my home. He gave me a fair price but what I didn’t know was with the price came poor service and professionalism. The website has a lot of false advertising such as taking care of items in your home, making sure everything is covered, and a 3 year warranty. His painters not only left bleeding marks on my baseboards but also broke my blinds. I have been trying to get them to replace my blinds for over a month and they have now gone radio silent. This company is a fraud and they don’t deserve anyone’s business or their hard earned money.

Excellent team of Devonte, Ericsson & Rosemarie worked on my project of painting the whole interior of a home. Responsive, respectful and relatable. Definitely recommend perspective homeowners get a proposal from this team before they go with someone else. You will not be disappointed.

Vivax was no pressure, low key, gave me a quote last year and when I was ready, they reviewed the work and honored the old quote. !!! Gama at Rivendale Homes saved the day for me when I reached out after the warranty on my plumbing had expired, asking if the builders would consider fixing a belly in the mainline piping. This would’ve cost me upwards of 20k (that was the first quote I received from a plumber who diagnosed the issue following a clogged line that caused spillover and minor flooding). Rivendale reviewed the issue, agreed it needed to be fixed, and because I purchased the home relatively recently (even though it was outside of warranty), they wanted to repair it and cover the cost. It was a hassle free situation for me from start to finish and they followed up consistently from the p point in which I reached out to once the job was completed. I had some landscaping work done, the company wanted their irrigation specialist to look at my system. The young man, Brandon was extremely personable and knowledgeable in his craft. He made suggestions to the system that were acceptable. Upon completion, he made sure I had no concerns. A short while later he knocked on the door to see if my dog was inside. He then helped me catch the little furry escape artist. THANKS! These people care about not just the job, but the people they help! Thanks ABC!

Excellent Service with Opportunities for Enhanced Communication
I’ve had several positive experiences with ABC Home & Commercial Services, and I continue to be impressed by their professionalism and the quality of their work across a variety of services. They truly excel at what they do, and I appreciate the broad range of solutions they offer. While my overall impression is overwhelmingly positive, there are a couple of areas where a bit more refinement could elevate the experience to a perfect 5-star level.

For instance, when we scheduled the water filtration system installation for our new home, there were some initial communication challenges regarding the technician’s arrival time. I received an appreciated call informing me of a delay, but the subsequent arrival time was missed, and I had to follow up after hours. This led to a rescheduling, which, unfortunately, required another follow-up from my end to confirm the new appointment. However, when the technician did arrive for the rescheduled installation, they were prompt and did an absolutely excellent job, demonstrating the high quality of ABC’s work.

Similarly, with the lawn care services, I initially experienced a last-minute reschedule. While the notification came after I inquired, the team was able to quickly rebook for two days later. On the day the crew arrived, the communication was spot-on – I received a text notification, and Luis and his crew arrived right on time, delivering a really nice job on the yard.

A standout experience was with Jason, the lawn care representative, who was incredibly personable and professional. He arrived on time, provided a thorough quote, and efficiently connected me with the office for other services like painting and electrical work – I received a call within minutes! This rapid response truly showcases ABC’s commitment to customer service.

I’m definitely planning to continue using ABC Home & Commercial Services because their quality of work is consistently impressive. With just a bit more focus on streamlining scheduling and communication to ensure timely updates and proactive confirmations, the experience will only get better.

The groundskeeper that does our lawn on route 15 (Paul) in Austin is the most personable and professional customer service representative I’ve come across in years. We’re very lucky to have him.

We were very pleased with Bradley who took care of our irrigation issues. He was very personable, made sure we understood what we needed and how he was going about fixing the issues and did so in a timely fashion. Highly recommend ABC!

ABC did a great job on trimming back our trees that were touching the roof. They have certified arborists and respect the trees. They did not over cut any so that the trees remain healthy. Our trees support many different species of birds, their babies every spring, the squirrels and their yearly babies, and all the species of lizards we have back there, and their babies. I’m a raving fan of Bradley and the serviced today.I had an issue with my sprinkler system. Brad.came out and assessed the issues found the problem and fixed the problem. You would expect that from any company. However, I was out of town on business, he conducted business via phone. Most importantly he was professional, and treated my wife with respect while not making her make decisions she did not want to be involved in making. Clearly Brad still understands what customer service is about!
ABC was won future business because of the service delivered by Bradley!

Justin was courteous and did a great job at our house. He diagnosed the issue, cleared the blockage in our pipes, and told us about a preventive option to help keep them clear.

He also helped to schedule a follow up appointment for a tech with a camera to check it tomorrow.

Great, friendly service. I will definitely call him again if we have another issue in the future.

Grant was extremely good. He arrived on time, actually early, and listened fully to all I had to share with him about the issue before diving into the work. He explained all he was doing and why. He recommended some additional (free) work to be done and did the scheduling for me before he left. The specialist for the free work (micro camera) came the next day. Both Grant and Jonathan were a pleasure to work with.

Jose and Jesus. We’re very professional.. I had a water leak on a line that was going into my house. They showed up on time, fix the line in a timely fashion, and kept me updated every step of the way. They come highly recommended that and I will use them again in the future.

When I called I got a quick response, they sent someone out quickly and kept me updated. Justin was my technician and he was great! Kind, patient with a barking dog and explained what was going on. Great service over all.

We had a great experience with Roto-Rooter! After our old water heater started leaking, they came out promptly to replace it. Even though there was an issue with the new unit they installed (not their fault), our technician went above and beyond—he immediately contacted the manufacturer, helped arrange a replacement, and re-installed the new unit without hesitation. He was professional, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was done right. He also thoroughly cleaned up and ensured there was no lasting damage from the original leak. Truly outstanding service from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Thomas took over the project to resurface my pool from another team and has done a fabulous job. The project moved much faster and was completed very professionally and to the highest standards. The prep and plaster team was well equipped, knowledgeable, polite and left the pool and property super clean. Many thanks to Thomas for getting this project back on track and completed!

I had old style glass blocks in my spa they removed them replastered it and transformed it to look more modern! I think they did an amazing job!

The management team is excellent and always responsive to my calls and texts. Recently, my pool pump went out and I had the pleasure of working with their repair manager, John MacCurdy. He communicated clearly, performed thorough diagnostic testing, and explained exactly what needed to be replaced. I got two quotes, and Poolie came in less than the competition.
