Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation - North Austin

My elderly aunt needed short term inpatient skilled nursing and rehab after she broke her leg and had surgery to repair the break. I was very pleased with every aspect of her care at Legend Oaks North Austin. Everyone who worked with her there was friendly, compassionate, and highly competent. My aunt made great progress there and was able to return home after 3 weeks.

As a hospice liaison I visit a lot of facilities and highly admire Legend Oaks and the work they are doing. They care about their patients and work hard to create an atmosphere filled with community and kindness for their patients. They put so much work not just into the clinical aspect of their facility; but also in the enrichment of their residents. Cici keeps them engaged with activities that aren’t only fun but also work their motor skills and keep them active, engaged, and happy. The nursing staff here truly cares about the wellbeing of their patients. I highly recommend Legend Oaks for anyone needing the skilled nursing support.

This place is a very comfortable place. Even the different shifts, that you come across, they're all helpful and friendly to you. The food is quite good and filling! The beds are comfortable. They have a house cleaner that comes a couple times a day to empty the trash cans and takes care of the bathroom and all of its paper. Keeping the floors swept and mopped clean. I’m a physical therapist here at this facility, and I’ve been here for 6 years. I’ve been a PT at multiple facilities and hospitals around town for the last 26 years so I’ve experienced many facilities, and I have to say Legend Oaks is one of my favorites!! Our residents are great! The staff is great, especially the therapy department! But the rest of the facility staff are great as well, from housekeeping to the kitchen to all of nursing. Sure it’s not perfect, but NO facility is perfect, and if that’s what you’re expecting then your expectations may be unrealistic. But the care here is exceptional and I would have no problem bringing my loved one here! Come give us a try!

My dad was in Legend Oaks for 5 weeks doing rehabilitation. The facility was very clean, and the staff was professional. There was a White stout guy who really helped with my dad. Whatever my dad needed, he did not act like it was a bother to him. I saw him handle the patients with compassion and respect. My dad had to do outside dialysis, and the staff always had him up and ready to go to dialysis. When he came back if lunch or dinner was over, they would save his plate and then warm it up for him. This does not sound like much, but it is when you are away from home and depend on others to care for you. My dad was always clean, and his room was too. The only complaint my dad had was the food. My dad is very picky when it comes to food. I tasted the food on several occasions, and it taste fine to me. Overall, the place I would give it 5 stars. If my dad had to return to a facility, I would feel confident in bringing him there again.
