Omg I had years wanted to visit this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint, the food is delicious, the service was genuinely kind, the lady that took care of us helped me with the vegan options I was looking for!, she was the best!, I love the decoration and atmosphere in general! They have a lot of authentic Mexican dishes and I’m happy their vegan and vegetarian options are SO GOOD too! (even if there are just a few), hope they will have more soon! Oh and I LOVE the branding in general!, their visual image is just perfect! ✨ Be aware this place is pricy! Yo vivi en Mexico como por 15 años y Suerte me hizo recordar mucho lo lindo de ese país ♥️ Definitely I’ll be back!
**Unforgettable experience — perfect for our bachelorette celebration!** We came here for a bachelorette dinner and had the most incredible experience, thanks in large part to our amazing server, **Julian F.** From the moment we sat down, Julian made sure everything was perfect. He was incredibly attentive, warm, and knowledgeable — going above and beyond to accommodate dietary restrictions and clearly explain menu options. He also made the **bride-to-be feel extra special**, bringing her a surprise dessert and treating the whole group with such thoughtful attention. It felt like more than just dinner — it was an experience. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal — upscale, authentic **Oaxacan Mexican cuisine** with bold, layered flavors in every dish. The presentation was beautiful, and the dessert was a perfect finish to an already amazing meal. We also appreciated Julian being **transparent about the 20% automatic gratuity**, which was clearly communicated upfront — no surprises, just great service. Highly recommend this spot for a special occasion or a night out — and if you're lucky enough to have Julian F. as your server, you're in for an exceptional time!
The parking here is 8-10 spots at most. Lots of folks park in the alleyway behind the restaurant. We went here for a bday dinner and the place did not disappoint. We made a reservation by texting their number which was a first for me. Got there and was shocked with just how full it was on a Wednesday night. We had to wait for our table as we arrived early. Our server Cody was friendly and helped us with the menu. We ordered the guacamole and chips and were surprised to see sheet chips instead of the usual. The guac had pesto in it which was a nice touch. We got the blackened chicken with tacos and veggie equites. One of the best chicken dishes I’ve had in Austin. 10/10. Veggie esquites were not as flavorful as we expected but were decent. Then we got the tres leches cake and it was delicious. We also got a watermelon sorbet with a candle as the staff knew it was a birthday dinner. Overall a great experience. Definitely worthy of their Michelin star. Prices also were quite reasonable. Would recommend. 10/10.
From the moment I walked into SUERTE, I was blown away by the aesthetic — it’s modern, warm, and beautifully designed with a Latin-inspired touch. The host was so friendly and welcoming, I was seated quickly and immediately felt at ease. My waitress, Ella, was absolutely incredible! She was attentive, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I mentioned my dairy allergy, and she went above and beyond by creating a customized non-dairy menu for me. She walked me through several options with so much patience and care, which made the experience even more special. For food and drinks, I tried the tacos (delicious!) along with their take on an espresso martini and a fun frozen cocktail — everything was amazing. I also got to sample the hash, which was fantastic. I kept seeing so many other great-looking dishes come out to nearby tables, so I already know I’ll be back to try more. SUERTE is truly a gem in Austin — the service, the atmosphere, the food, and the cocktails were all perfect. I 1000% recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return. Chefs kiss !
We had been here a few years ago, and decided to come back for Easter Sunday—and honestly, it was even better than we remembered! The suadero tacos were WOW, and the carnitas were just as amazing. We also had the mushroom tlacoyos—they were different, but the mix of flavors really worked. Definitely a place we’d come back to!
The ceviche was soo bright and flavorful, can not recommend that appetizer enough. The fish was very fresh. The restraunt is open to the kitchen which enabled you to see the chefs preparing the tortillas, which were excellent. We orded the tacos as our meal, comes with 4 street tacos. It was an expensive place, as expected with this quality but I felt the brisket a little dry...just me, many many customers rave about them. I recommend making a reservation, but you can also eat from the bar as we did and it was only a 10 minute wait.
Exceptional spot! We’re culinary grads and every dish—duck with mole, pork spare ribs, wagyu, swordfish, tiramisu—was an 11/10. The gin cocktail was just as unique. Our gentleman server with the mustache and silky braids was an 11/10 too—professional, thoughtful, and perfectly timed every plate. Honestly, food this good plus service like his? Unbeatable. Highly recommend!
