Very nice and spacious venue! We went for Bop to the top: disney night. And there was a LONG line to get in. The line moved at a nice steady pace. Once we got in we expected it to be packed already but there was still so much room! Multiple bars available to get drinks at, that kept the lines moving fast, as well. Drinks were pricey, but where isn't nowadays. Loved that it was non-smoking. Club is in a good location as well, lots of places to eat around the area. Over all great experience will go again!

Went to Emo’s last night to see Less Than Jake and it was absolutely epic! From the moment we arrived, the staff on the door were friendly and welcoming. Drinks were reasonably priced, and it was a great touch that the Coke my daughter ordered came with free refills. The venue felt safe, the toilets were clean (always a plus at a gig!), and the atmosphere was buzzing. We had an amazing night watching Catbite, The Suicide Machines, Fishbone, and of course, Less Than Jake. Fantastic sound, great crowd, and a brilliant overall experience – can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful venue. Spacious, well planned layout, outdoor smoking area, killer sound system, and a first for me...the staff passes out cups of water between sets! Will definately be back and highly recommended

This is a great place to see a show. The sounds is great and it's very close and intimate. The sound can get very loud so I would definitely recommend ear plugs, my ears are still ringing from the show I saw there last night.

My wife and I went to see Airborne Toxic Event at this venue. Emo’s provides the perfect size venue that I love to watch music at. The sound is great and venue is easy to move around in. We live in Houston and made the drive to see this band at Emo’s.

Yeah the venue is decent & bar staff too but the security staff is a whole other issue good luck being a POC or LGBTQ+ because you will be targeted for no reason. Security was literally attempting to instigate a fight when they accused us we gave alcohol to a minor didn’t even let us explain anything. The two security guards swore we did but we literally had our drinks with us the whole time and we were over 21 we did have our two nieces under 21. One person went to the restroom and the drinks were right beside us outside of the restroom and they said we were giving someone alcohol in the restroom how if the drinks were with us. We spent at least $500 between drinks and our tickets and to have security talking down to us and being so aggressive towards us they came out yelling at us like we were doing drugs or had a weapons made it absolutely horrible . It was a tall skinny man bald on top but long thin hair and a short hair heavy set woman with a Mohawk. He literally snatched the drink out of her hand and slammed it in the trash and kicked two of our party out. They were accusing my minor niece of being drunk all four of us (21+) had all with us at all times, literally bought of second round of drinks and we were completely sober. I was taken aback because I had never in my almost 40 years been treated that way so unprofessional and rude toward a customer. When we began to question why they started yelling at all of us had to go and we had to leave now. They said they were watching us for 30 minutes but we hadn't even been there 10-15minutes. How is a security guard going to tell someone swing on me go ahead and yelling at them and then keep talking mess as they're walking away to exit the building. Mind you had they came up to us normally and asked us to leave it would have been fine we would have understood but to be yelled at was completely unacceptable. Unprofessional people here worried about the wrong thing and targeting people because they assume they saw something but there was a drugged up person in the restroom and no one was bothering them and no one is worried about them. There was also another girl who had was being carried by her friends because she was completely out out it and no one stopped them. My family was targeted because of the color or their skin but no one said anything to me because I wasn't the same color. We didn't have any issues with any of the other security just these two in particular. These two bouncers are a couple of little kids with gigantic egos looking for a fight. This is highly unacceptable and for it to be a place in Austin where everyone is supposed to be so all inclusive this place is the absolute worst. I will never attend another show here and I will warn everyone I know about this venue so they can stay away as well as the artists I keep in touch with. Just know if you see these two consider your night over . ❤️

✔️staff is friendly ✔️ on time opening the doors and starting each concert ✔️ safety is a priority ✔️ all ages Grateful to all the helpful staff! They even passed out cups of water to the crowd standing left front of stage in between the musicians sets Pointers to help you prepare: 1. Standing room only. I wish I had worn comfortable shoes and/or brought a popup stool (if that is even allowed) for the 4.5 hours of standing. If only I was in better shape 2. Know your ticket specifics, check the list or ask for help. Our VIP Meet & Greet could only be determined by our name printed on the list at the front. The Josiah Queen concert had VIP meet & greet, VIP early access, and general admission and the list was the only way to determine the differences in the VIP levels. 3. Know the Emo's rules. I love that they enforce for the overall safety of everyone. WELL DONE! I should have better prepared by reading through the rules prior. I have to admit that it was funny to watch the 4 kids I took to the concert have to take off the 100 glow sticks they were wearing I hope that atleast the staff had fun with them. You also cannot have anyone on your shoulders or backs, so the Mom next to me had to hold her son in her arms part of the concert. She pushed through Anothet kid sat on the floor for awhile when she tired out. She was too old for that Mom to hold for long. 4. Use the restroom before it is crowded. Of course one of the kids in my group needed to go in the middle of the show. I was surprised how easily we were able to go from the front to the restroom and back, but I could have been more strategic if I had planned better.
