The Little Longhorn Saloon

Needing something to do on a Tuesday night, I looked up live music in Austin and found a recommendation for this place. What an evening it was! Great music, atmosphere and dancing was awesome. So there I sat at the bar as a South African living in the UK listening to country music and watching cowboys spin ladies around and couldn't have been in a happier place!

Dropped on a Tuesday night as I needed a fix for some live music, but wow, what a treat. Small venue packed with folks who love music and dancing. I will not make the mistake of being improperly dressed again as I visit Austin. While it’s been a minute since I’ve danced a proper country bar, my southern raising made me quite jealous of those in the floor. Great atmosphere!

I'm never sad that I stopped in at the Little Longhorn Saloon! Great music, fabulous bartenders, and an awesome crowd. Even the chickens are friendly!

Came here for chicken shit bingo this past weekend and I was certainly underwhelmed. The venue itself was really cool and the vibes were definitely there, but the event itself felt touristy and gimmicky, everywhere we looked it felt like we were being nickel and dimed. There were loads of children weird was odd it its own way since everyone was gambling and drinking beer. The line for beer took forever with only a couple of people in front of us. Definitely won't be going back any time soon unless people visit from out of town or if it doesn't look crowded.

Super fun dive bar, been open 30 years (at least). The owner was so welcoming, walked around talking to everyone. Cold long necks. Chicken shit bingo was a hilarious good time. Felt like Austin in the 70’s when strangers bought you a beer, just because.

Mega toller Saloon. Wir waren Sonntags zum Chicken shit Bingo dort. Das ist wirklich ein tolles Erlebnis. Mein Mann hat sogar gewinnen können. Eine Band gab es auch noch. Ein toller Sonntag.

Old school digs for live music They have one or two different bands pretty much every eve of the year, and that’s pretty much what you’re here for. The place is a bit loud, but not unbearably so, the people are friendly, the kusic is usually good (ion a honky-tonk kinda way), the beer is cheap and cold, and, we’ll, what else do you want?
