After our consult call, He said if I did this review and made an expensive appointment with someone in his roladex, he would take me on as a client, after I proved I had “follow through”…well….I wrote the review and realized I should get at least one other consult, and that I didnt feel comfortable hiring someone, even though he vouched for them, to do an expensive report without the assurance I was going to get the help I needed.

We have not been in touch since my review. This is on my part too..reference the aside at the end of update.

Still 3 stars for taking a late call, the time, and info he shared on our consult.

Could potentially come back and return the 5 if I can say more about working with him for more than 35ish minutes.

(Aside: And though I am sure his approach works for plenty of people – I want to share my experience that echoed some others I have read – I take responsibility for not calling him again re: the report – the reason I didnt was because, despite the helpful information provided and gratitude for his time, I did find his approach on the consult call to be consending and demeaning at times – talking over me, telling me I shouldnt ask certain questions or mention parts of the effort i had put in before calling (6 years of dealing with this on my own) because it was “a waste of time”. This could very easily just be his way of a time saving “no nonsense” approach, but it requires fortitude I do not currently have, so I have not had the energy to try to ask more questions about the process since I dont want to risk feeling scolded or face any more rebuke…if I wasn’t in such a vulnerable place I am sure I might have anyway. So I wanna take responsibilityfor that)

I called late in the day, and Sam, who took the call was very kind, and then took a message. I was surprised when I got a call a few minutes after typical business hours wrap up, and accidentally declined the call, but called right back, and Bill Gammon was on the other line. He took the time to provide amazing information to help direct me to get started taking steps to ensure I was protecting myself and my property. I am really grateful for his time and expertise.

We’re facing potential foreclosure and have been trying to iron our the legal details of our situation to make sure we’re not screwing ourselves over or getting screwed over. We’ve contacted 5-6 lawyers at this point, and Bill was the ONLY one to take our call immediately and provide advice without trying to charge us thousands of dollars. He spent almost 30 minutes talking to us about our situation and made me and my husband feel a thousand times better about what we’re facing. He encouraged us to call back any time with questions on our process, even though we don’t need to hire him right now for full legal services. He’s clearly knowledgeable and was so incredibly kind and generous with his time and advice. I’m shocked (and delighted) that we were transferred over to him immediately when we called and he was able to talk to us on the spot. Although we don’t need to hire him at this moment, we absolutely will if we need legal representation for our foreclosure, or any other future issues within his wheelhouse. He is clearly one of the good ones and wants to help people.

I had a consultation with this attorney recently. While he clearly has extensive experience in real estate law (which he mentioned repeatedly, citing 30 years in the field) the conversation was frustrating. He was a poor listener, more interested in hearing himself talk than understanding my concerns.

What stood out most was his inflated ego. He dominated the conversation, frequently interrupting and speaking in a patronizing tone that made the consultation feel less like a professional exchange and more like a lecture. His arrogance was palpable, and it made it difficult to get through even basic questions without being cut off or dismissed.

He was very eager for me to leave a review based solely on that first conversation. Something he clearly values, perhaps more than client outcomes. Curious, I looked through his other reviews expecting to find success stories that backed up the dramatic claims he made about his track record. Instead, I mostly saw comments from people who were encouraged to post reviews in exchange for a second consultation. There was little evidence to support the extraordinary success he boasts about.

Given the lack of verifiable results and the condescending way he engages with potential clients, I would strongly recommend asking for actual proof of his claimed accomplishments…. assuming you can get that far without being talked over.

I’ve had a vastly different experience with Bill Gammon than the unusual and seemingly targeted negative review, and I’ve never been asked to write a review. I had a very disappointing experience with Five Stone Tax Advisors. They claimed credit for a dramatic drop in my property tax bill, but failed to be upfront about the real reason behind it: my home had suffered severe water damage and was completely gutted — something the appraisal district clearly took into account.

Instead of being transparent, they charged me as if their efforts alone caused the reduction, when in reality the decreased value of my home due to major damage was the obvious driver. It felt disingenuous and opportunistic. I expected more honesty and professionalism from a firm that markets itself as an advocate for homeowners.

I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for authentic representation or integrity in the process.

I initially had concerns with my experience at Five Stone, particularly with how my case and invoice were handled. However, after raising these concerns, a Partner – Marketing & Communication representative reached out to me directly and worked diligently toward a fair resolution. They took the time to review my case, listen to my perspective, and ultimately ensured the outcome was both reasonable and respectful of the situation.

While my experience started off frustrating, I greatly appreciate Five Stone’s follow-up and commitment to making things right. It shows a level of accountability and customer service that I initially expected.

I’ve used Five Stone for a few years now for both personal and business filings. Great results. My last accountant made an error and it led to huge problems with penalties and interest so I came here to see how I could get it all rectified. It turned out to be way less complicated than expected and I was able to file everything and get all the issues straightened in a few months. Next I needed help with a business issue that I had been struggling to resolve for the previous 24 months and not made adequate progress. Disappointed by Lack of Accessibility Awareness

I contacted several law firms to set up a revocable trust and other estate planning documents. Most were professional and immediately accommodating when I requested virtual appointments. Robbins Estate Law was the exception.

When I asked for a virtual meeting, the representative said the attorney preferred in-person. I explained that I preferred virtual. She asked why—which felt intrusive. I shared that I use a wheelchair and don’t travel well. Her response? “In-person meetings are more productive.”

I was stunned.

It’s 2025. Virtual meetings are standard practice, especially for clients with mobility challenges. I shouldn’t have to justify my accessibility needs.

I live with advanced multiple sclerosis. I’m wheelchair-bound, heat-intolerant, and face significant daily challenges that make travel difficult. That’s my reality—not something I should be forced to explain just to access legal services.

Robbins Estate Law missed an opportunity to show empathy, flexibility, and professionalism. I hope they reconsider their approach to accessibility moving forward.

Kyle Robbins is a jem in the world of Austin Attorneys. He helped me administer a very complicated intestate probate that started in early 2020. The complexities involved multiple states, multiple heirs (1 in another country), COVID impacting all businesses including the courts and the expected (and unexpected) drama from interested parties that were not legal heirs.
