Elegí esta oficina luego de ver buenas reseñas, así que considero importante dejar también la mía. Mi experiencia con la abogada Sandra Posada y su equipo fue, lamentablemente, decepcionante. Inicié mi caso a finales de julio, pero mi solicitud de asilo no fue presentada sino hasta octubre. Si bien reconozco que durante ese periodo estaba insegura por mi cambio de dirección, considero que eso no justifica una demora tan significativa en mi proceso legal. Durante ese tiempo, intenté comunicarme en varias ocasiones con la oficina. La mayoría de las veces fui atendida por la secretaria Vanessa. En esas interacciones, en lugar de recibir respuestas claras, percibí una actitud poco paciente y, en algunos momentos, poco colaboradora. En una ocasión se me pidió que no interrumpiera y que esperara en silencio mientras otros hablaban, a pesar de que mi intención era únicamente comprender el estado de mi caso. Esa situación me hizo sentir ignorada y sin el acompañamiento esperado. Es importante aclarar que nunca fui grosera ni ofensiva. Mi único interés era recibir información y sentirme orientada, algo que considero completamente razonable dentro de un proceso legal complejo. Cuando finalmente logré hablar con la abogada Sandra Posada, me dijo que yo era "una clienta muy exigente" solo por solicitar confirmación de que mi caso estaba en trámite. Ese comentario disminuyó aún más mi confianza en el servicio brindado. Al final, cuando recibí la aprobación de mi permiso de trabajo, fue otra secretaria —muy amable— quien me informó. En ningún momento recibí una llamada o seguimiento directo por parte de la abogada, ni siquiera para confirmar que el proceso había finalizado. Entiendo que los abogados delegan funciones en su equipo, pero como clienta esperaba al menos un nivel básico de atención directa en los momentos clave. Aunque quizá pude parecer insistente, nunca falté al respeto. Solo deseaba sentirme acompañada, comprendida y tratada con consideración. Por todo lo anterior, y basándome únicamente en mi experiencia personal, no recomendaría esta oficina.(I chose this office after reading good reviews, so I believe it’s important to leave mine as well. My experience with attorney Sandra Posada and her team was, unfortunately, disappointing. I started my case at the end of July, but my asylum application was not submitted until October. While I acknowledge that during that time I was uncertain due to my change of address, I believe that does not justify such a significant delay in my legal process. During that period, I tried to contact the office several times. Most of the time, I was assisted by the secretary, Vanessa. In those interactions, instead of receiving clear answers, I perceived a lack of patience and, at times, a lack of willingness to help. On one occasion, I was told not to interrupt and to wait silently while others spoke, even though my only intention was to understand the status of my case. That situation made me feel ignored and unsupported. I want to make it clear that I was never rude or disrespectful. My only goal was to get information and feel guided — something I consider completely reasonable in a complex legal process. When I finally managed to speak directly with attorney Sandra Posada, she told me I was "a very demanding client" just for asking for confirmation that my case was being processed. That comment further reduced my confidence in the service provided. In the end, when I received my work permit approval, it was another —very kind— secretary who informed me. At no point did I receive a call or any direct follow-up from the attorney, not even to confirm that the process had concluded. I understand that attorneys delegate tasks to their team, but as a client, I expected at least a basic level of direct attention during key moments. Although I may have seemed persistent, I was never disrespectful. I simply wanted to feel accompanied, understood, and treated with consideration.

Working with Jennifer changed my life. My wife and I knew we needed the best lawyer when our dreams, aspirations and love were on the table. Jennifer was very professional, kind, giving us guidance and hope when many things were uncertain for us immigrants in 2018. Briefly, I got my employment authorization card in the mail that allowed me to have a job followed by my SSN that allowed me to have a driver's license!, later received my Green Card in 2020!. This is the best group of people to work with, honestly, Jennifer goes above and beyond for her clients and she is a very nice person. I have to say that it takes someone who has empathy to do what she does in the way she does it. There is so much grace in her interaction with you as a client and you never feel lost in the process.
