Our experience with attorney Stephanie Long Weinstock for a simple will and deeds has been five months of utter frustration I don’t wish upon anyone. What should have been a straightforward simple will and deeds was marred by constant errors, glacial communication, and shocking inattention to detail.

From the onset, her drafts were riddled with mistakes, requiring constant correction regarding information she simply did not retain. Stephanie forgot to deliver executor deeds at the will signing, then provided only two out of three weeks later, with one being completely inaccurate. All three deeds were ultimately rejected by the county clerk due to basic errors, forcing multiple trips to the notary. This level of incompetence for legal documents is unacceptable and makes me question the accuracy of all documents she prepared.

Despite the website calling her compassionate, Stephanie was consistently cold and self-righteous, a particular difficult reality for one dealing with grief.

Even more concerning, Mike Massey himself failed to respond to my pleas for help indicating a systemic issue with client care at the highest level. While we had excellent experiences with Christine Santana in 2024 and with Mike himself in 2017, our 2025 ordeal with Stephanie Long Weinstock was an exasperating nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

We recently updated our wills at Mike Massey law firm. The process was fast and efficient. Mike and Stephanie were knowledgeable about our specific needs and individualized our documentation perfectly. We are grateful for their expertise.

I used Massingill to help set up my LLC for my freelance business. I went with them because, I never have set one up before and I had so many questions and wanted help to get it set up correctly the first time around and the reviews were awesome. As well as, I wanted to work with a real human. They also, have been super helpful with answering my questions after the fact, I kept getting letters mailed to me from random business that made things sound urgent & official – they were quick to explain and let me know other things that might come in the mail.

I also, use them for my registered agent. I like the idea of having a law firm for that – and while hopefully I would never need them for that. It’s good to know they are there.

To start off, it is completely difficult to get a hold of anyone in this firm after you “open a case” with them and you’ve payed them for their “services”. But now since I’ve requested a refund, apparently they have answers all of the sudden? My wife n I paid 7700 $ just for the run around said they were waiting for a paper to be received they swapped my wife’s lawyers without notifying her she went in person and it was a mess the previous lawyer had quit or left and we were not contacted at all when we asked to switch the process they said that we used 6000 $ of the funds when only 1 paper was sent or filed

There was no transparency when our lawyer was changed. We were never notified of a change in lawyer until my wife demanded to be seen in person in the offices at Austin. We have no reason to lie about that. We were just offered $1,500 to remove this review. The review is about our experience with this law firm and the lack of attention from your team. We understand laws change but that has nothing to do with The lack of urgency. We signed a second contract on 8/07/2024 and no one called or reached out to us to collect the information that was needed for the case to get started. It took my wife sending an angry email on 8/20/24 to get any action started. And that’s only thanks to the lawyer Loren who was the only helpful person there. Mind you the contract was paid in full. Not only that but when the laws changed in November we weren’t called by anyone in your team to notify us until months later. And only to tells us what we already knew And in March we barely received a letter of representation from this law firm. It may not be important to yall but it urgent and very important to us. We will not allow you to gaslight us about our experience.

After using their services for several years, I was taken advantage of and was charged unreasonably. Their claim is they “dropped the value”, but the reality is zero tax savings. A quick look at the competition will clearly show ProTax overcharges what market rate is. Bryce – stop throwing accusations at customers…it’s not a good look.

My first car accident left me with multiple herniated disks and the person who hit me had no insurance. They were great about keeping me up to date on any thing I needed to know. They did all the leg work for me, set up all my doctor’s appointments and physical therapy. I had Ryan Palmer and he was great.

I feel the need to express my extreme dissatisfaction with this law firm. On my first review, I received an email to send this law firm and I have not heard back as well. As an escalated a complaint I filed because the manager who I spoke to before Did not tell me this law firm would attain interest on my case since I was only with them four days and they did absolutely not one thing at all, and I drew myself because of the lack of knowledge from the attorney I had I hired them when I had an accident on May 23. I was told I had good representation. I would not have to worry about anything well let me start off here. That was a lie I can never get the right to the lawyer. He did not have a direct number for me to contact him. He did not do anything for me in my case. I only had them for a few days And nothing was done at all everything that happened with my operation. My surgery was all me all I did Will send them the documents so they had it on file. Then I decided to leave them because of the lack of communication and lack of help. They seemed very cold and did not seem to care. Even the manager called me when I withdrew myself and wanted specific reasons why and I explained them very clearly to her and it seemed like we were on the same page. I went to another law firm, and now that my case is almost done, the insurance company contacted my lawyer and said that this law firm has retained interest on my case and I get it I signed the contract, but I drew myself immediately because I did not get any assistance that I needed. I did not get any communication I needed. I was treated like just another number and then when I reviewed the attorney‘s name on LinkedIn, he has only been a lawyer for a few months he passed the bar so there was no way I wanted to stay with this law firm and I tried to leave on good terms but now because they are retaining interest, even though they did not do anything to help me. I am struggling with a new law firm for the specific reason. I tried to call them to see if they could remove this interest that they placed on me and they said they escalated it but most likely nothing will get done because I signed that contract even though I was under the impression that I was going to actually be helped and I was not. No one has gotten back to me yet to say they will remove the no interest what I was told was they’re most likely not going to remove it because I signed that contract so no I do not recommend this company. All I wanted was to be removed without interest since they did no work for me or my son and now I can see that everything is just about money with them and now I have to struggle with my new attorney because of this. Because now this law firm wants To retain their interest along on my new law firm who did all the work for me Which leaves me with nothing after I went through an operation had a major accident lost my car. Had to get a new car all the pain I went through along with my son and this law firm did not want to remove that letter and I can’t seem to speak to a manager they keep Passing me around, I thought the law firm would care about helping people instead of just collecting a check if I knew this, I would have Never went with the law firm. I should’ve read the negative reviews as well. You would think that the company would want to make it right Knowing how much suffering and pain that this client has went through And now I guess they wanted to retain interest because they know that the other party had insurance, which is completely unfair to me when I did everything the right way And yet still, no one has called me trying to make this right I wanted to hopefully put a revised Google review complementing them on their ethics and the way they wanted to help me after the first review but I did not even get that much

I’m only giving 5 star because I finally have a lawyer, Blake Harmon who is getting my case closed after several lawyers at this firm and after 3 1/2 years (3 years and over 6 months). I believe my case which was a simple rear end at a red light is the longest case Thomas J Henry has had. Wish I had Blake from the start. Accident happened March 4, 2022 in Austin Texas. Hoping case is settled soon as I wait for medical bill reduction. Again, this rating is for Mr. Harmon and not the firm.
