Dianne is the best. I was in hospital for 6 days with fractures everywhere after a bad motocross accident. See treated me and I literally walked out of the room - I could barely walk on the way in. My pain dropped massively, and I felt my normal happy self again. I definitely will be back for further treatments and would recommend Austin Quan Yin to everyone. Thank you Dianne, what you do is incredible.
I worked with Steven and he was fantastic, he truly cares about the work he does and just wants to help people, he was extremely personable and knowledgeable. He could explain so many medicinal practices and concepts from a TCM standpoint and it was facinating to learn while I was being worked on. I did think accupunture was a bit "woo woo" at first, but then he tested a nerve ending that started in my leg that I felt in my stomach. He didn't tell me where it went and he confirmed it when I told him where I was feeling it. That, alongside cupping got me feeling amazing again. I also have poor circulation in my hands and feet and by the second session my feet were feeling hot all on their own in a cold room with no socks on. Usually I struggle to get my feet warm again once they get cold and I always need socks. I'm a believer now and I'm so grateful Steven is a practitioner, I couldn't believe the difference it made in my body!
My first experience with accupuncture was with Dr. Steven East today. I highly recommend and will be back to see him! He asked thoughtful questions and gave insight into the shoulder discomfort I was experiencing. I appreciated how he listened to me and considered his approach alongside me. He made me feel very much a part of the process allowing me to have agency during the visit.
I'd like to start this by saying I hardly ever write reviews; for me to write a review, it has to be either a remarkably good or bad experience. Unfortunately, this was the latter. I scheduled an appointment with Dianne for low back/sciatic pain. I was looking forward to it all week - I have had good luck with acupuncture in the past. I showed up at my appt, and Dianne was less than welcoming. She told me "Go over there" and pointed to her treatment room. I immediately noticed her cold demeanor. When she was asking about why I was here, she was not sympathetic. She then began to berate me for not having my New Patient Paperwork completed; however, I NEVER received an email or text or call about new patient paperwork. Prior to the appt, I even checked the website to see if there were some forms to fill out, and I saw none. I did my due diligence. I made this point to Dianne, telling her that if these forms were so important, why didn't she call me about them? She had no answer to this. It was evident that these forms were EXTREMELY important to her to be filled out prior to me walking in the building. Because of her visible frustration and condescending tone, I told her I would be finding a different provider for acupuncture treatment. I spent about 5 minutes total in this place. If you want someone warm, understanding, and polite, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.
Dianne is absolutely incredible. I came in with some hormone imbalances and adrenal fatigue. Dianne has taken the time to really learn about my health history in detail, and she has been so patient with me, always making sure I feel seen and heard. Her acupuncture has helped me so much with regulating my hormones and my cycle, and has really helped me get more energy. I’m so grateful for Dianne and would recommend to everyone!
I had the pleasure of being served by Steven East, who was not only an open and engaging person, but also able to make his knowledge accessible in his explanations about my condition and how to address it. Thank you, Steven. I will definitely return in the future.
I highly recommend Austin Quan Yin to anyone looking for a holistic health care approach. Diane and Bryn are an amazing team - they are great listeners and actually care about your health! They make you feel heard and will get to the root of your problems to find a treatment that works. I had many conversations with Bryn via email prior to my first appointment. This put me at ease and showed me that Bryn was invested in my care even before meeting me. I met with Bryn and Diane at my first visit and never once did I feel rushed or misunderstood. Diane explains conditions and treatments with candor, and she doesn't order any labs or supplements without explaining why they are needed. Bryn has gently guided me with acupuncture and takes time to chat before each visit to ensure she knows how I'm progressing or responding to treatment. Bryn is respectful of my time and accommodates my schedule. She explains the acupuncture points and considers my needs to make sure I'm always comfortable. I look forward to my appointments and greatly appreciate feeling respected as a patient.
