I LOVE trufusion. there’s a ton of classes to choose from. the instructors are super friendly and accommodating. even the front desk people and cleaning crew seem happy to be there. I’ve tried MANY gyms here in austin and trufusion is by far my favorite. they also frequently do challenges where you can win really cool prizes just for working out.

Clean studios & great instructions! The ladies at the front desk are kind & helpful. A huge variety of classes to choose from! Something for everyone. My first class was with Alex Denny, she gives you the push you need, helps build up endurance! Reveals places you can focus more strength training on. Won’t be my last!

The best gym in Austin! They offer a huge variety of class types, all under one roof. And each class has passionate, knowledgeable instructors. I’ve been a member for 2.5 years and look forward to many more.

Absolutely loved coming here for the classes (specifically spin & yoga) the coaches are very friendly and engaging….
However, in this market if you’re concerned at all about your job, do not get a membership. They have a policy that they will take an additional 2 payments automatically even if you cancel, and their membership can be very pricey and changing if you do not have a job. (laid off in May, cancelled in June… still paying for my membership in August).

Long time lurker , I always hesitated to join because I live in southeast Austin and didnt want to make the drive but I’m so glad I finally took a class and became a member. The instructors are awesome , classes are always available , they have a 4 hour cancellation period which is much better than the 24 hour period most studios require. Everyone from the staff to the members are nice and welcoming.
WORTH the drive

Be Fit Pilates is such a great studio! The gym itself is very nice — the machines are new, spotless, and well-maintained, which made the workout feel really comfortable and professional. The overall atmosphere is welcoming and calming, perfect for focusing on a good session.
Audrey was a fantastic instructor — super friendly, encouraging, and clear in her guidance. She really took the time to make sure everyone felt supported and got the most out of the class. I left feeling challenged but also energized, which is exactly what I look for in a workout.
Highly recommend Be Fit Pilates for anyone in Austin looking for a clean, modern space and knowledgeable, approachable instructors. I’m excited to come back!

I’ve tried a few different studio’s around Austin before signing up for a membership. This studio has the best instructors. They all have something different to offer in how they run their classes. No one gives you attitude or makes you feel lesser for not being able to do certain moves. They all give variations on how to make moves easier or harder, which gives great flexibility on getting the most from your workouts. Highly recommend this studio.

I love be fit SO MUCH. It’s my one of my favorite work outs in Austin. The instructors are awesome, they correct your form (I really appreciate this) and are positive! The classes fly by and are always a solid work out. I like how the moves go slower so you can actually work on form and feel the burn. Totally check it out if you haven’t yet!

Every class I’ve taken at BE Fit in The Grove has been incredibly challenging and such an effective workout. My core has never felt stronger. I’m a huge fan of Clair’s classes, particularly. Her playlist is energetic (much needed at 5:15am) and she shows little mercy. I get such an amazing workout from her classes. I also get enjoyment from how she refers to the machine, moves, body parts, etc. using feminine pronouns. It adds a nice touch of whimsy.

I’ve tried a few Pilates studios and this one is my favorite. All the instructors are so kind and helpful. The darkness is just right and not only is a great workout but it’s been a good way to unwind, especially with how good some of the music is too. I’ve been going 2x a week for a few months and feel like it’s just as challenging every time!

My favorite studio in Austin! The instructors are all so kind and encouraging. I’ve found that the machines used here target muscles that I never knew existed. It is truly the best low-impact workout. I also love the location – it’s a gorgeous area for a walk after class.

I’ve been working with Ashley for private Pilates sessions, and it has been such a game changer! They are so knowledgeable, encouraging, and always tailor each session to my needs and goals. I love how they focus on proper form and alignment, while also making the workouts fun and challenging. I feel stronger, more flexible, and more connected to my body since starting with them. I’ve had a lot of Pilates instructors in my life, but I was very impressed with Ashley’s eye for detail and expertise. She didn’t let me get away with incorrect form. I really appreciated her care for my Achilles tendinitis. I recommend the Pilates apothecary to anyone who is seeking to develop course strength, and/or has an energy injury that they might be working through.

I just had my first two pilates class with Ashley and she’s made the whole thing so enjoyable.
As an instructor Ashley, is so welcoming and disarming, I felt very comfortable working with her. I’ve never tried reformer Pilates so I wasn’t sure what to expect but her guidance was super intuitive and she made it fun! I’ve already noticed a difference in my flexibility after just two sessions.
Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a more customized and private pilates experience. The location was also super easy to find right in downtown Austin on 6th street.

I really love this cute little studio! As a yoga teacher myself I really appreciate that Ashley has a background in both Yoga and Pilates because her cues speak to me in a way that helps me go further faster in each of our sessions. I love that I get herbal tea with every session! The studio’s cute and cozy and she’s a calming person to be around. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about how to strengthen my feet from our sessions as that’s one of my goals. I highly recommend the studio to anyone looking to work hard in a calm environment.

Ashley is incredibly knowledgeable and has such a welcoming, comforting energy. She makes Pilates both approachable and challenging in the best way. I highly recommend The Pilates Apothecary if you’re looking for an instructor who truly cares and knows her craft!

The Pilates Apothecary is an outstanding studio here in Austin. As the owner of AOK Physical Therapy, I’m always looking for partners in the wellness community who prioritize high-quality, individualized care, and this team does exactly that.
Their instructors bring an incredible level of knowledge and attention to detail, creating an environment where clients feel both supported and challenged. What I admire most is their commitment to helping people move with confidence and strength, while also building a sense of community that makes everyone feel welcome.
For anyone seeking Pilates that blends expertise, compassion, and community, The Pilates Apothecary is a true standout.

My husband and I took couples’ Pilates sessions with Ashley for about three years, and we can’t recommend her highly enough! She knows how to create a structured, well-rounded workout while also tailoring sessions to her clients’ experience levels and needs. Some days, I’d come in with a specific request, and she’d adjust on the spot while still ensuring we got a great workout—it’s truly impressive. I love the jump board, my husband loves the orbit, and sometimes we’re in the mood for chair, mat, or reformer—Ashley does it all.
Ashley has a great eye for detail and is fantastic at correcting posture and body placement, making sure every movement is both safe and effective. Her ability to explain and demonstrate exercises would quickly help us understand how to engage the right muscles and get the most out of each session.
Beyond her expertise, Ashley has such an easygoing personality that makes every workout enjoyable. I’ve had instructors who are too peppy (think SNL skit) and others who lean too much into the meditative side—Ashley strikes the perfect balance. She’s energetic, knowledgeable about yoga and mindfulness, but when it came to my Pilates sessions, she picked up on what worked for my style: straightforward with a bit of humor.
Whether you’re new to Pilates or experienced, she knows how to challenge you in a way that feels both supportive and motivating. We always left our sessions feeling stronger, lighter, and grateful for her guidance.
If you’re looking for a skilled, thoughtful, and personable Pilates instructor, Ashley is the best!

My Pilates classes with Kati are the highlight of my week. I have been doing private sessions with my pod during the pandemic and it’s felt very safe with all the precautions she takes. Kati is an excellent instructor that gives great cues. She’s very tuned into how and what muscles you’re working and is able to give helpful modifications. I have also taken Kati’s online classes and they def make you sweat! Added bonus: she plays great music!

Absolutely the best workout studio I’ve been to! The teachers are amazing, love that they demo all the moves so you can easily follow along.
Body High is such a unique/fun class (on mat or reformer—you MUST try both), have never experienced anything quite like it!
The studio itself is gorgeous, going there feels like a little spa retreat in itself.
Everything about the experience at Ritual Moves makes it a true joy to go to! Can’t say enough good things.

Flow Pilates has the best pilates class in town! It’s a small studio – perfect during the pandemic – and it feels really comfortable taking a private class here. She’s taken precautions seriously. You can schedule private reformer classes with 1-3 people and Kati tailors the class to your needs! I’ve been coming to her studio regularly for over a year and have loved it so much. If you can’t make it to the studio, her virtual video workouts are just as great! You’ll always find a great workout here.

Ritual moves is not just another Pilates studio, it’s a community. I’ve been in Austin for almost 4 years and finally found a place where I can consistently get the best Pilates classes the city has to offer and where I feel seen and valued as a person.
After completing the Pilates training program, I’ve been able find a deeper practice through Kati and Molly’s thoroughness when teaching us; I feel ready to teach Pilates one day as the program was extremely intentional. Ritual moves practices what it preaches in the most genuine way <3

I LOVE Shape Method. The instructors are very welcoming and can work with anyone at any stage of life. I am 50 years old and can honestly see changes in my shape since going to their barre and Pilates equipment classes. I have spent years doing every fad workout with no results and ending up with injuries. Shape Method offers sustainable, challenging workouts that I will be able to do for years. All the instructors are true professionals who are in tune with how your body moves and what is best for you. I look forward to every workout. You will love this local, women owned business. I absolutely love Dancers Shape! I started with the new client special and was able to try different classes and teachers. I have enjoyed every class and every teacher has been fantastic. They are all knowledgeable, work to give you modifications if needed all while making it fun and pushing you to work to your best ability. I have signed up for the monthly unlimited and can’t wait for my next class! I’m so glad I found this studio! It’s a great fit for me and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I have been going to Shape Method on and off ten years now! I started dancing at the age of 12 and by the time I was 24, needed a spinal fusion. I had to completely start over, and finding Shape Method, was seriously divine intervention. Jennifer and her entire team built me back up. They provided me with the one thing I was missing when I first started fitness and dancing so many years before — a strong foundation. This studio is more than just workout classes, it’s therapy. Also, I’m a huge fan of the trampoline classes. You feel like a kid again and it does wonder for pelvic floor strength. Okay, now on to the fun stuff. Shape Method will seriously tone you up. Lifted backside. Cellulite on legs has diminished. Tummy pooch? Tightened and smoothed. I really want to post a vanity picture but I’m afraid it would not be appropriate. Let’s just say I’m 35 and bought one of those Brazilian bathing suits this summer.

I’ve loved all of the classes Dancers Shape offers, but the staff keep me coming back year after year. They’re so kind, accommodating, and helpful. I’ve worked out with them through injuries (obtained outside of Dancers Shape) and pregnancy, and they’ve always helped me retain strength, stay safe, and enjoy myself. I’m very grateful I found them.

Absolutely loved this class! Megan is a great instructor. Very clear cues and I found it struck the perfect balance between challenging and doable. I am a member at another Pilates studio in town and have a hard time finding instructors that l like as much as my home studio ones, but this one is amazing. I will be adding this one into my rotation for sure.
One note: be sure to leave extra time for finding parking. It took me a while to find a spot.

I’m so grateful I found this studio—it’s warm, welcoming, and I felt the difference in my body almost immediately. I was a little nervous for my first class, but the instructor Claire was incredibly helpful and attentive, offering gentle corrections that made all the difference. The space itself is beautiful—bright, clean, and full of natural light, with wood floors and that calm, cozy vibe you get from an old house. I love this studio so much! I have been attending Align west classes for the past year and a half very regularly and I always feel amazing when I leave. The studio itself is homey and welcoming as well as all of the instructors and front desk girls. The classes are skilled and thoughtfully curated and you can tell all of the instructors are very well taught and care about each individual. The community here is also wonderful, I am currently pregnant and I can’t count the amount of ladies that have complimented me or said something kind to me and put me in such a good mood! I did Pilaties before this and tried quite a few places but nothing comes close to Align West. Could not recommend enough!

I’m so happy I found this place! I did the Classic reformer 1 with Christen and had such an excellent experience. The place was so roomy and had a great reformer as well as other equipment. The class was easy to follow along and though the workout was difficult at times Christen made it easy and gave suggestions. I loved the small class size because it felt like you got individual attention to your form and technique. Parking was easy and all in all a great place to be!

I’ve been attending Pilates classes at Fascia FITT for the past six months after feeling like I wasn’t properly engaging my core in other workouts. I walk away feeling restored and energized. I loveddddddd this space!! I’m a newbie when it comes to pilates, so I was extremely nervous for this class. However, the instructor and the environment was so welcoming and accepting. Visiting my sister in Austin and decided to do some reformer lessons together. We did two lessons and both instructors are very professional and helpful. The studio itself is just so aesthetic pleasing. I do wish they have one more reformer for instructors as well so we can get more visual instruction.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! As the builder, I’ve had the unique opportunity to see it come to life, but what really makes it special are the incredible people who work here. The staff is not just talented at what they do, but they are also some of the most down-to-earth, genuine individuals you’ll ever meet.
The owner is truly the coolest person ever, always bringing positive energy and a passion that inspires everyone around her. You can feel the love and dedication in every corner of this establishment. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, you’ll be welcomed with open arms and treated like family.

I love this studio! The ambiance, the instructor, the technique used. It’s the best way to start your morning, you walk in and the studio is beautiful with lots of natural light sinking in. The music isnt alarming which is nice and peaceful. The studio is very clean and well maintained. I also love that there are only 6 machines so it feels a lot more personal! I was visiting from NYC but found this stuidio and wish I could take it back with me. Went 5 times in a week I loved it so much!

Absolutely love Novi Pilates! After having two babies, it was hard for me to get motivated to move my body. The few times I’ve gone to Novi, I’ve really enjoyed it and eager to go back. Totally worth the 25 minute drive. I leave feeling strong and relaxed at the same time. Highly recommend.

Novi is the best Pilates studio I have ever been to! I thoroughly enjoy each and every class, and love the challenge to move my body in new ways. The studio space is so chic, and calming, and I love that the smaller class size allows for more one-on-one attention. You won’t regret taking classes here!

While I haven’t been back to the studio in a while because of life getting in the way, this is one of my favorite studios in all of Austin. They are so friendly, welcoming and the vibe of the class is always serene but so challenging. It’s approachable no matter which level of experience you have (I have gone freshly postpartum and found it perfect and they always helped with modifications as needed) but you will always leave feeling as if you’ve worked your body and also gotten stretches. The teachers are super skilled and really know how to make every class feel balanced and are so welcoming. The class size is small which I personally love.

I always leave feeling stronger and revitalized. Thankful for this incredible team of instructions in this adorable treehouse studio.
Love love love Novi!

I had a fantastic experience taking the Balanced Body Reformer 1 module with Brooke. The class was rigorous and challenging in the best way—never overwhelming, but always engaging. Brooke did an excellent job bringing the material to life. Rather than simply reading from the manual, she taught the concepts in a practical, approachable way that really made sense. The hands-on practice was incredibly helpful, and the mix of students at various experience levels created a collaborative, supportive learning environment. Brooke’s deep knowledge and experience were inspiring and gave me something to work toward as I continue my Pilates journey. Highly recommend!

I just finished with all my reformer modules. I am so thankful to Brook and Maggie for sharing their expertise! Brook has created an amazing community with the Align East teacher training program, and I’m so thankful to be part of it! I started my journey in the program almost 1 year ago and have seen my life and Pilates transform. I feel confident in the skills I’ve developed and can’t wait to begin teaching. This program is fun, detailed, challenging, but so worth it!

This is a great interactive course to start your pilates teaching journey. There is lots of opportunity to practice teach, lots of time taken to learn how to set up and transition from exercise to exercise, and modifications given to make each exercise easier or harder. If you have never taught before this is a great course to start learning how to talk and give direction. We learned by moving in the poses a lot so you are not just sitting there. I have done in person trainings to and this was just as good if not better. Brooke is very knowledgeable with a lot of experience and she makes it very clear she is happy to and wants to answer any questions you have and support you through the journey he to becoming a teacher. She tells her own story about how she became a teacher and it is very validating to hear that everyone is a beginner and even the experts learn more as they continue teaching after years. Highly recommend!

Brooke B. sets the gold standard for Pilates instructor training. Her deep expertise, dynamic teaching style, and genuine passion for the practice make her an extraordinary educator. As a longtime Pilates enthusiast (20+ years) but first-time teacher-in-training, I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Brooke brings a rare blend of technical mastery, real-world insight, and supportive energy to every session. Her classes are rich with smart cues, hands-on adjustments, and practical tips that truly stick. She makes complex concepts accessible and always creates space for learning at every level. Brooke is simply exceptional—insightful, inspiring, and incredibly effective. She’s raised the bar for what great Pilates education looks like, and I’m grateful to be learning from one of the best. I started going to Method Pilates in Houston a few years ago and instantly fell in love with the energy, the instructors, and the strong sense of community. It’s one of the only studios where I consistently felt supported, challenged, and excited to come back. When I heard they were opening in Austin, I couldn’t wait—and they’ve absolutely brought that same Method magic with them.
I recently took classes with Brian and Kendall, and both were incredible. Their energy, attention to form, and ability to motivate without pressure is exactly what makes Method so special. The playlists were on point, the flows were creative, and I left feeling stronger and more connected every time.
The Austin space is gorgeous, the staff is warm and professional, and the entire vibe is empowering and inclusive. Whether you’re brand new to Pilates or a seasoned mover, Method makes you feel like you belong.
So grateful to have this kind of studio here in Austin. If you’re looking for a place to move your body, clear your mind, and be part of a thoughtful, high-vibe community—Method is it.

Okayyy, obsessed is an understatement! I hosted a private birthday class at Method Pilates with my fam and besties, and it was seriously the most fun way to celebrate. The vibes were immaculate, the studio is so cute and clean, and Brian our instructor made everyone feel welcomed! We laughed, we shook, we planked, and we left feeling strong (and a little sore, in the best way). 10/10 would do it again. If you’re in Austin and not hitting up Method yet… what are you even doing?!

Had a great first experience at this studio. Greeted warmly upon entrance and appreciated both girls running over the equipment with me (even the one who had just finished teaching & was not instructing my class). The class itself was challenging but not overwhelming which I appreciated & the facility is new & clean. Also easy validated garage parking made it easy to access. My only criticism would be that it is hard to hear cues and instructions over the loud music, I think sound barriers would be beneficial for both clients & instructors 🙂

I highly recommend trying out Method Pilates — whether you’re brand new to Pilates or a seasoned pro. With being newly opened in Austin, most of the people in class are also just starting out. That makes it feel really comfortable, no matter your experience level. The energy is great, the community is growing, and it’s the perfect place to start (or continue) your Pilates journey.
The studio is located in the heart of Bouldin Creek with 2 hour validated parking in the garage underneath the studio. Easy access right off South 1st.
The studio was opened in April 2025 and is the third Method Pilates to open, two more exist in Houston.

As a guy who’s always prioritized strength training, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first tried Pilates. I walked into Method a little skeptical—but left completely hooked. Method Pilates is hands-down one of the best additions I’ve made to my fitness routine. It’s not just stretching or core work—it’s serious, focused training that’s improved my mobility, stability, and even my lifts in the gym.
The instructors here know their stuff. They cue form with precision and build classes that challenge every muscle group in ways I didn’t even know I needed. The resistance-based reformer training is no joke—it’s humbled me more than a few times. I’ve noticed major improvements in my posture, core strength, and injury prevention since adding Method into my weekly schedule.
The vibe at the studio is awesome too—clean space, great energy, and a community that’s welcoming without being over-the-top. It’s clear the team cares about creating a space where anyone can show up and get better.
If you’re a guy looking to complement your weight training or just improve your overall performance, I can’t recommend Method Pilates enough. It’s the real deal.

If you’re looking for a place that combines great vibes, kind and helpful staff, effective workouts, and a strong sense of community, Method Pilates is it. So grateful to have found this gem in Austin!

Frequently Asked Questions about Pilates Studios in Austin
What types of Pilates classes are offered in Austin?
Pilates studios in Austin offer a diverse range of class types. You’re likely to find Mat Pilates, which is performed on a mat using body weight for resistance; Reformer Pilates, using the Reformer machine with springs and pulleys to add resistance; Chair Pilates, using a Pilates chair for added challenge; and Tower Pilates, utilizing a Pilates tower with similar resistance elements. Many studios also offer specialty classes catering to specific goals like pre/postnatal fitness, athletic performance, or injury rehabilitation.
How do I choose a Pilates studio that's right for me?
Selecting the best studio involves considering a few key factors. Start by identifying your fitness goals – are you seeking strength, flexibility, or rehabilitation? Research studios online, read reviews, and check their websites for instructor bios and class descriptions. Many studios offer introductory packages or trial classes, allowing you to experience their teaching style and environment before committing to a membership.
What should I wear to a Pilates class?
Appropriate attire for Pilates classes generally includes comfortable and fitted clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Think leggings or athletic pants and a fitted top. Avoid loose clothing that can get in the way of the equipment or hinder your movement. Bare feet or Pilates socks are typically worn; check with the studio beforehand regarding their specific footwear policy.
Are Pilates classes suitable for all fitness levels?
Pilates is generally considered a low-impact exercise that can be adapted to suit various fitness levels. Many studios offer beginner-friendly classes designed to introduce foundational principles. However, it’s always a good idea to inform the instructor of any injuries or physical limitations you may have before class. Some studios also have specialized classes for advanced practitioners.
What is the difference between Pilates and yoga?
While both Pilates and yoga emphasize core strength and flexibility, they differ significantly. Pilates focuses on precision, control, and efficient movement, with a strong emphasis on engaging the "powerhouse" (core muscles). Yoga incorporates a broader range of poses (asanas) and often includes elements of meditation and breathing techniques. Both are beneficial for overall well-being, but they offer distinct approaches to fitness.
How often should I take Pilates classes to see results?
The frequency of Pilates classes required to see results depends on individual goals and commitment. For noticeable improvements in strength and flexibility, attending classes 2-3 times per week is a good starting point. However, even one class per week can provide some benefits. Consistency is key; aim for a schedule that you can realistically maintain over time.
What is the cost of Pilates classes in Austin?
The cost of Pilates classes in Austin can vary widely, depending on the studio, class type, and membership options. Drop-in rates often range from $20 to $35 per class. Many studios offer packages or memberships that provide discounted rates for multiple classes. Introductory offers and new client specials are frequently available, allowing you to experience different studios at a lower cost.
Do I need any special equipment or experience to start Pilates?
No special equipment or prior experience is needed to begin Pilates. Most studios provide all the necessary equipment, including mats, Reformers, and chairs. Instructors are trained to guide participants of all levels through the exercises. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn.
What are the potential benefits of regular Pilates practice?
Regular Pilates practice can offer a multitude of benefits. These include improved core strength, increased flexibility, better posture, reduced back pain, and enhanced body awareness. Pilates can also contribute to stress reduction and improved overall fitness.
How can I find a qualified Pilates instructor?
To ensure you’re receiving instruction from a qualified professional, look for instructors who are certified by a reputable Pilates organization. Common certifications include those from Balanced Body, Polestar Pilates, and Stott Pilates. Studio websites often list instructor bios with their credentials and experience. Reading reviews and attending a trial class can also help you assess an instructor’s expertise.
