MACA Martial Arts

We love MACA! My daughter has been attending for about a month now, and she absolutely loves it. After her very first trial class, my daughter couldn’t wait to go back. Coach Manny and Coach Caoilainn are fantastic they’re not only skilled and professional, but also incredibly encouraging and great with kids. What I appreciate most is that MACA goes beyond just teaching Jiu-Jitsu. They place a strong emphasis on values like self-discipline, confidence, and respect, which has made a noticeable difference in my daughter both on and off the mat. It’s clear that the coaches care deeply about the development of each student, and that makes all the difference. I highly recommend MACA!

We absolutely love this martial arts gym! What started with just one of our sons attending has grown into a full family experience—now both of our boys are enrolled, and even Dad has joined in! The coaches here are incredible role models. Our boys have so much respect for them. As parents, we appreciate that the training goes beyond just self-defense. The gym emphasizes important life values through the "word of the month", teaching mindfulness, discipline, and character development in a way that sticks with the kids both inside and outside the gym. We’ve seen such a positive impact in our boys’ confidence, focus, and behavior at home and at school. We couldn’t recommend this place more—it’s truly a gem for families looking for more than just a martial arts class.

We took both our daughter and son to Maca Jiu-Jitsu and couldn’t be happier! This family-owned business has a dedicated, caring team that truly supports families. The training itself is excellent, and I especially love their monthly mantra—each month focuses on a positive theme like resilience, respect, and confidence, helping kids grow both on and off the mat. I have searched the area over for martial arts classes for my kids. I’ve never met people like Coach Manny and Coach Caoiliann. I have always sought for a gym who will not only train my kids in martial arts but more importantly on character development. These coaches are the perfect balance of serious when it’s time to be serious and FUNNNNN when it’s time to be fun. Both coaches have a certain glow to them that you’ll experience the first time you’re around either one of them!

What can I say, MACA is amazing! My son is only 5 and we struggled to find a martial arts (specifically, Jiu Jitsu) that felt like home. Many of the other spots we checked out were stale feeling or just a place that wanted our business regardless of if we felt a sense of belonging or value. MACA immediately came across as something different. The owners/coaches, Manny and Caoilainn, are knowledgeable and friendly, we instantly felt like family; they treat my son as if he were their own. It’s now been a few months and we couldn’t be happier. Additionally, the number of weekly classes was important. They offer daily classes as part of the membership. You can come as many times as you want, rather than nearly every other place who only had one or two days; if you missed one, you were really in a bad spot. That didn’t sit well me us and MACA clearly knows that’s not the way you do it. Classes everyday was an huge selling point. Again, so much value. There are so many other positive things I can say and literally zero negatives. I’m just a guy who was trying to get his son into basic martial arts, and instead I found my son a martial arts family. Thanks MACA, and here’s to many great years ahead!

Wow, so impressed. My daughter started taking her little boy to train under Coach Manny and Coach Caoilainn a couple of months back and he absolutely loves it. This past weekend he wanted to watch some of his teammates and coaches in actual competition and I was able to take him. It was awesome. The love and discipline the coaches instill in the kids was evident at match time, and the respect returned to Coach M and Coach C from them was visible by their eye contact and instruction-following even while immersed in battle! I briefly experienced Jiu Jitsu myself many years ago before getting sidelined with unrelated health issues, but this team actually has me thinking about getting back onto the gym floor in my 60s. Again…wow. Keep it up, guys.
