We went to an LCD Soundsystem show here, which was incredible to see in such a small intimate venue. This was an amazing event with an open bar and passed appetizers. The staff was friendly, the space was great!

What a beautiful venue! The rooftop is beyond gorgeous and that wall of greenery screams photo opportunity.
I had an opportunity to capture a lil video footage here for a conference event so as a guest I was impressed. This view of downtown Austin is stunning especially with the sunset.
The lighting is just enough, but it did get a smidge dark in the deep interiors of the venue. Overall, a lovely spot for any event.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with Brazos Hall as our reception venue. They coordinated flawlessly with our planner on load-in schedules, catering logistics, and décor setup, which took a huge weight off our shoulders. On the day of the reception, the space looked absolutely stunning, and their on-site staff managed the timeline with effortless precision so we never had to worry about a thing.

This is the best menu in downtown Austin by far with the hardest-working staff that I’ve met who have held strong here now longer than most other businesses have been able to stay open for.
This is also one of the few venues left on 6th Street that can hold up to 500 people between the VIP room the bar upstairs patio, and sofa areas.
Did I mention they have nice cushion sofas!
Bartenders here know how to serve just about every single kind of rank and even serve me up my favorite non-alcoholic beverage made of different fruit juices!
Also thankfully they have water that’s been verified served in the glass container at each corner of the bar
Getting parking here is thankfully easier to most places to downtown you could just park at either of the parking garages nearby and literally walk over.
They do their best to keep the restrooms clean here and keep up with all the people that come in and out of this venue which on some nights goes well into the night.
They also play healthy mix of music. 🙂
Sound system and they have people who know how the management do know how to operate the sound equipment which is a huge Plus I cannot say enough how hard it is to find a bar with people always on staff who know how to operate the sound equipment!
Every week there’s something going on at this place especially as it continues to grow in popularity.
And thankfully just west enough on 6th Street to keep it accessible for folks like me who like to avoid 6th st going east past congress.

The Belmont team has Excellent service, friendly, and very helpful as well. When I needed help they really helped me especially because I’m not good with computers. I was wanting a two bedroom but the one bedroom was bigger than I thought. I love the kitchen in my apartment and the big bathroom

Hamid was the most accommodating person we worked with while planning and re-planning our wedding and it was an absolute pleasure getting to work with him. The Belmont was the perfect space to host our event. We were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at the same venue, but each felt like like they were all at a different location, thanks to the rooftop, in door bar, and outside dance floor/stage. There was also large spaces for the bride & groom to get ready in before. If you want a true downtown Austin experience, this is the spot!

First ever silent disco & it was so much fun!!! Decided to do the VIP experience and I do not regret it at all. We did not try any of the food but the open bar did not go easy on the liquor and the view from up top was fantastic. Great DJs!

Saw a live show at the Belmont and it was a BLAST. The interior is very nice and well furnished, there is a huge balcony area overlooking the outside stage and an outside bar on the first level.
The Belmont has all the elements of a great bar/music venue and I’m looking forward to going back soon to experience more of the great atmosphere!

If you have ever considered having an event at The Belmont, RUN don’t walk and DO IT!!!! Hamid is the MOST amazing event coordinator to work with! He went above and beyond to make our annual corporate event a HUGE success. The venue was amazing, decor on pointe, the band… OMGSH, AWESOME! Everything was taken care of down to the customized drink menus! We couldn’t be happier with our experience there and just the incredible staff and support we received! Especially since our event had to be cancelled and rescheduled in three days due to the ice storm here! Fantastic venue!!!! Hands down A++++++!

Stopped by while visiting my daughter that lives in Austin and I had a blast. The staff was extremely kind and courteous from the hostess to the wait staff. We were lucky to have met Leanna; she was fantastic!! We appreciate her warm attitude and attention towards us. The prices are fair especially during happy hour. We enjoyed cocktails and a pizza. We had so much fun that we went two days in a row. Highly recommend.

I’m not a huge shuffle board fan, but this place was a nice twist in n the classic bar game. The boards are computer controlled, and they have semi private rooms for the boards. The bar was pretty busy, with some kids also in the mix. Beers were reasonably priced

We went for a work event. The food was delicious, and the mocktails were great. The atmostphere was so much fun! They had digital shuffle boards. Our work group had a ball! It worked like bowling, where you pic your own name, and take a fun picture. The shuffle board communicated with the display screen on what number you landed on! They ahd Margarita pizza, beef tip kebabs, cheesecake bites. Definitely worth checking out!

Who knew Shuffleboard could be so interactive and FUN??!! I cannot say enough great things about this place. Their food is spectacular, worth coming here for the food ALONE! Plus, a large selection of drinks and mocktails— basically something for everyone. The Shuffleboards keep track of scoring for you and also film you and do funny playbacks of your party on the scoreboards instant replays are an instant crowd pleaser! I’ve gone to parties here, dates, and also just popped in for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is exciting, great music, lots of colorful lights and friendly (good looking) staff. Even if you don’t know how to play Shuffleboard, book a lane! You won’t regret it!

Customer Reviews
We chose Fair Market for our event after our CEO, who had attended a coffee market there, recommended it based on its aesthetic and how well it aligned with our event’s theme. We recently hosted a large-scale, two-day event at Fair Market with over 600 attendees, and the venue provided an excellent space that allowed for a diverse range of activities. The open layout gave us the flexibility to seamlessly transition between live demos, panel discussions, networking areas, and coffee service. The outdoor space was a major plus, allowing us to incorporate more active elements like yoga and a ruck run, which our attendees enjoyed.
That said, there are some logistical considerations to keep in mind for anyone planning an event here. The venue’s recommended vendors are solid, but they do limit options in some cases, which impacted costs and flexibility. Additionally, given the size and industrial nature of the space, sound control was a challenge. In the future, we would implement more physical barriers, such as drapes, to better separate networking areas from the speaker sections and reposition high-traffic areas like the coffee station to minimize noise disruptions.
Despite these considerations, Fair Market remains a fantastic venue for those looking for an adaptable space with an authentic Austin feel. With proper planning and an understanding of its vendor requirements, it can accommodate a wide range of event formats successfully. We’re looking forward to working with the venue again in the future.

We had our wedding at Fair Market and it was such a fun and special day! Everyone was raving about the venue and it was the perfect space with a great flow from the ceremony and cocktail hour in the yard under the string lights to the reception inside. The location was so central making it easy for everyone to get to and from hotels and of course bars for the after party. They were also so great to work with and accommodating in the months leading up to the event- we really appreciated it. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a wedding venue in Downtown Austin with outdoor space- not many have it!

Great venue with indoor and outdoor spaces! Quaint and intimate enough to be close to your favorite artists but large enough to have plenty of space to boogey down!

The space is great and has plenty of parking on the outside. It definitely has a church feel, but on the inside, the wood floors and decorative windows really add to the charm, as well as the offerings from artists that decorate the wall.

The Cathedral is an amazing venue, about 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown. This quiet elegant oasis has been lovingly renovated by Monica Ceniceros and it shows. All the little details like the art are meticulously curated and placed.
The place was perfect for our all day Future of Health event where we gathered the who’s who health innovation. Everything went smoothly with Monica and her staff, including the last minute panic order of coffee at 8am in the morning.
The team are amazing, AV, Lighting, Food, and the general cleanliness of the facility. The handling of last minute requests with a smile and “sure we can help” attitude permeates throughout.
I highly highly highly recommend this venue and we will be back next year.

This is the second time I’ve been to this venue. It works well for a group of 100ish people. The first event was a song launch and the second was an art gala.

800 Congress is an event hall where I have been here several times where festivals and corporate sponsors used this place. It’s basically one large room with an open patio in front. There are no restrooms so if you need to go visit one of the neighboring hotels. My current visit was for Williams Racing for the USGP F1 race. They had a nice setup of promotional displays, fun activities, free swag and a shop to buy team merchandise. The staff was nice and friendly.

I loved the Banksyland exhibit but there were so many people that it was chaotic. The tickets are sold in time slots to make sure it isn’t too crowded but we arrived at our 2:30 time slot, there was a long line; all with a 2:30 entrance time. There were so many people it was difficult to enjoy the art. The way the art was presented had no crowd flow at all. I loved the exhibit but did not enjoy this event space. When we left, there was no line but it was still packed inside.

What a great venue! Was here for my nephew’s wedding reception. The food was catered but the atmosphere was really good! Loved the amount if space we had. My only complaint was that the main table was too close to the back tables and made it a palm for anyone to walk between them (which was a LOT of people and I was sitting there). Other than that, I loved it.

This is an amazing venue for our wedding dinner! We wanted an extremely small ceremony but wanted to invite about 30 people (friends and family) to have dinner with us. The Commune had a modern, unpretentious atmosphere and provided ample room for tables to seat all of our guests. The kitchen had plenty of room for the caterer to set up, and there was a bar area near the large meeting room that was perfect for setting up drinks. They even had bags of ice for us in the freezer. It was a bit hot to use the outdoor area, but they also have a nice little patio for guests. The staff was extremely friendly and extremely helpful. I would recommend this place to friends or family looking for a venue for their event.

★★★★★ An Unforgettable, Intimate Wedding Experience!
My wife and I just had our wedding at Peached Social House, and we cannot stop raving about the experience! From the very beginning, the planning process was seamless, thanks to our incredible wedding coordinator, Dulce. Dulce was an absolute rockstar—she was on top of every single detail during the months of planning and especially on the day of the event. She handled everything with such grace and professionalism, which allowed us to be completely present and stress-free.
The food was a massive hit! Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was, from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding reception. The bartenders were also fantastic, crafting delicious drinks with speed and a smile, which kept the party going.
A huge standout was the team’s flexibility. They effortlessly moved tables around to accommodate our layout ideas and last-minute changes, making our vision for an intimate wedding come to life perfectly.
If we had one very minor suggestion, it would be that the servers could have been a bit more attentive to us as the bride and groom specifically (checking if we needed a drink, etc.), but this in no way overshadowed our joy.
Overall, our experience was fun, exciting, and absolutely delicious. We would wholeheartedly recommend Peached Social House to any couple looking for a beautiful and memorable venue for an intimate wedding. Thank you, Dulce and the entire team, for making our day so magical!

Maria also put us in contact with Premiere for rentals which helped to take the stress off another vendor to coordinate with! The staff that served the food and the bartenders that worked at our wedding were outstanding and efficient.
All our guests commented on how much they loved all the food. The only difficult thing we had to do during the planning process was narrow down which items we wanted on the menu – everything was just too good!
Peached Catering exceeded all our expectations for catering and bartending! If good food and alcohol are a top priority for your event, definitely book Peached!

Pros: The space is beautiful, the food is delicious, and Ethan, the bartender, was loved by the guests.
Cons: Emily, the Director of Catering Sales, was the person I did almost all communication with ahead of my event (a 30th birthday party with ~40 guests). It was incredibly difficult to communicate with Emily. I would send emails to which she would only partially respond. We scheduled a video call and she logged on over 10 minutes late, only notifying me she would be late after I asked via email if the call was still happening. Emily was supposed to provide a day-of contact for the event, and never communicated who the person was. On the day of the event, no staff person identified themselves as that day-of contact. My friends and sisters were left running into the back rooms throughout the event to find staff members to answer questions/help replenish supplies, etc. I had been very clear ahead of the event that I had a severe gluten allergy and was looking for the event menu to be 100% gluten free. No gluten-containing items were on my contract. At the event, the first thing out on the buffet was a basket of flour tortillas. When I followed up after the event, I was told that my gluten allergy was not notated and that no where did it say not to put flour tortillas out on the buffet. There were many other frustrations throughout the event, including not receiving my cake back at the end of the event and then being told that “the cake had flies in it, so it was thrown out.”
I did speak with Matthew, the Catering Events Director, about these frustrations after the event. He refunded approximately 5% of the total bill for all of the incidents that occurred.

While the space is really cool and ended up being beautiful, I found the staff at Peached Social House the most difficult to work with out of all of my wedding vendors. There was a staff change after we had signed our contract. It was incredibly difficult to get into contact with the person that had taken over. When we finally did get in contact with them, emails were very touch and go and they would take multiple days to respond. As the wedding approached, we had set up a phone meeting to go over the details, and they had actually forgotten about it and I had to call them and email them to get them to call me back and proceed with the meeting. Many things that were discussed before the wedding were not communicated well with the staff that was working the wedding. They would not let us into the venue to set up until 3:30 even though the wedding began at 5:00. They assured us that they would begin setting up when we got there. When we arrived, nothing had been done. My family and wedding party ended up setting up the chairs ourselves, and barely got all of our decorating done in time. When it came time to flip the space for the reception, the seating chart that we had sent was not followed. Yet again, we ended up having to set up the tables and chairs ourselves. We had brought up our guests with food allergies many times before and on the day of, we told them where they were seated to make sure that they got the correct plates. They ended up serving all of them the wrong plates and my sister had to stop them before they had a chance to eat to send the food back and get the correct plates. The draft from the ac made the dripless candles drip onto the tables. We were going to scrape the wax off with a credit card but, they told us not to worry about it and then scraped it off with knives and damaged the tables, and then charged us for it. Unless you have a very strong day of coordinator, I wouldn’t recommend booking here because it added so much unnecessary stress.

My organization hosted an event this weekend with about 320 guests and it was a night to remember!! The staff at Skybox on 6th was beyond helpful to my team with set up & tear down, and went above and beyond to take care of our guests. This event space offers everything one could want in a downtown venue with nearby parking, surrounding views of the Austin skyline, and a feeling of privacy without being too removed from the city. During my time as my orgs. event planner, this venue is one of the best I have ever worked with!

My business fraternity hosted their spring formal at Skybox and it went extremely well. The rooftop has amazing views of downtown Austin (perfect for pictures) and is very spacious. Jason (the manager) was incredibly helpful and even went out of his way to make sure our venue/event needs were met. 10/10 experience throughout the entire planning process and I would definitely book this venue again!

Great view of the city, an interesting variety of colorful lighting for different moods, and the sound allowed for both louder and quieter events.
If one is able, I’d recommend taking the stairs to see some of the cool artwork that has been done in the stairwell.
I’ve attended a few events here, but with no planning or other involvement.

I am a professional photographer and recently got the opportunity to create a Matterport Virtual Tour for this venue. It is an amazing space that has nice views of Downtown Austin. It is open mostly covered and there are also open areas for seating and entertaining. Great for any social event! Check it out!

We had our daughter’s quince here. The venue was decently sized for our party of roughly 150 people. The dinner was amazing as well as the decor. The only complaint I have is that the dressing room didn’t have a/c and if you’re familiar with the dresses for these events that wasn’t very comfortable. Overall, my daughter had a great time and the pros of the venue definitely outweighed the one con.

We had our daughter 15 recently and we like the salon the only flaw is the owner who’s very aggressive he wanted to cancel our party the day before and all for some stu…d miscommunication. The wife very nice lady, but the owner shouldn’t have a business like this where you have to deal with a lot of people and different problems that can be fixed with out yelling and treating of cancellations but of course he’s the owner.

Frequently Asked Questions about Event Venues in Austin
What types of event venues are available in Austin?
Austin offers a remarkably diverse selection of event venues. You're likely to find everything from rustic barns and ranches perfect for country-themed weddings, to sleek modern lofts ideal for corporate events, to historic mansions for elegant receptions. There are also plentiful parks and outdoor spaces for more casual gatherings, and unique options like museums and art galleries.
How much do event venues in Austin typically cost?
The cost of renting an event venue in Austin can vary significantly depending on the venue's size, location, amenities, and popularity. Expect to pay anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000+ for a basic rental fee. Some venues offer all-inclusive packages that include catering and other services, while others require you to hire separate vendors. Pricing is heavily influenced by seasonality too.
What factors should I consider when choosing a venue?
Several factors should guide your decision. Consider your budget, the size of your event, the style or theme you want to create, the accessibility for guests, and the available amenities such as parking, restrooms, and kitchen facilities. Don't overlook the noise restrictions of a location either.
What does 'capacity' mean for a venue?
The capacity of a venue refers to the maximum number of people it can safely and comfortably accommodate. Capacity can be broken down into different categories, like seated capacity (for a formal dinner) and cocktail capacity (for a standing reception). It’s important to accurately estimate your guest count to ensure the venue is appropriately sized.
Are there any hidden fees I should be aware of?
Unfortunately, hidden fees can be a reality with venue rentals. Common extras include service charges, cleaning fees, security deposits, and taxes. Always carefully review the contract and ask for a detailed breakdown of all charges before signing. Understanding these upfront can save unpleasant surprises later.
What are the common vendor restrictions at Austin venues?
Many Austin venues have specific vendor requirements. Some might have preferred caterers, florists, or photographers that you're required to use. Others might restrict the types of entertainment allowed or have guidelines regarding alcohol service. It's crucial to understand these restrictions before committing to a venue.
Can I see the venue before booking?
Absolutely! Scheduling a tour of the venue is strongly recommended. This allows you to visualize your event in the space, assess the layout, and ask questions to the venue manager. Many venues offer virtual tours if an in-person visit isn't possible.
What is a ‘venue contract’ and why is it important?
A venue contract is a legally binding agreement that outlines the terms and conditions of the rental. It specifies the rental fee, dates, times, capacity, vendor restrictions, payment schedule, and cancellation policy. Carefully read and understand every clause of the contract before signing it, and consider having a lawyer review it if you have concerns.
How far in advance should I book a venue in Austin?
Austin is a popular destination for events, so booking your venue well in advance is essential. For peak seasons (like spring and fall), it's recommended to start looking at venues 12-18 months prior to your event date. Even for less popular times of the year, securing your venue 6-9 months in advance is a good idea.
What insurance coverage is typically required by event venues?
Most event venues require renters to carry event insurance, which typically includes liability coverage and sometimes cancellation coverage. This protects the venue from potential damages or injuries that may occur during your event. The specific requirements will be detailed in the venue contract.
