I can not recommend Austin Catering enough. Their customer service, communication, professionalism, and kindness from a business standpoint are exactly who I, and I believe all brides, hope to work with during their wedding planning. Gabby was my contact, whom I can not rave about enough. She was so incredibly helpful, thoughtful and patient with me, coming up with really great suggestions, recommendations and guidance. Lastly, the food is AMAZING. The flavor, quality, presentation is 10/10. My favorite thing about Austin Catering is how accommodating they are. As a bride who’s gluten-free, vegan and had strong opinions about her menu, I felt entirely confident that my menu was going to turn out perfect thanks to Gabby’s help, and it did! My guests raved about our food, including the kids. They made the allergen-friendly process so easy, as well as the bar/desserts. Austin Catering catered our wedding on May 31, 2025 and it was absolutely delicious! They worked with us on a custom menu and we did two rounds of taste tasting and they were more than accommodating for all of my knit picky changes! All of our guests absolutely loved the food and were a little surprised since wedding food can often be a tad unimpressive, but this truly felt like a meal in a restaurant. While every aspect of our catering experience was wonderful, this review is especially for Gabrielle! From our initial inquiry through our final transaction, Gabrielle answered countless questions from us, always being professional and patient as we changed quantities, dishes, and bar setups.
We had a delightful time at our tasting, and the food was all delicious. We got many compliments from our guests about enjoying their meals, and it looked like everything ran very smoothly. We also got our cake and desserts from Austin Catering, and they did an absolutely lovely job with the decoration that we requested. They even packed up cake leftovers for our guests and sent us to our mini moon with extra cake and food for the road.
We did a lot of comparing catering services when planning our wedding, but Austin Catering struck that great balance of being within budget, but not sacrificing quality or our wedding vision. We strongly recommend Gabrielle and the Austin Catering team!

We worked with Gabrielle, who was wonderful and so helpful throughout the planning process. She fielded so many questions not only about the food, but about our alcohol order we were placing as well. Our tasting experience was great and very helpful in helping us plan our menu! Honestly, everything we tried was so good we would have picked it all if we could have. The team was great, and left us with very thoughtful food set aside for us to take home after the night. Even as leftovers the food was incredible!

We had such a good experience working with Lauren and Sterling Events! We signed an all inclusive contract with our venue and had two options for catering, but the venue owner heavily encouraged us to go with Sterling and I am so glad they did. They provided the meal and our bar service and I’m pleased with the way it all turned out! The appetizers passed during cocktail hour were definitely our favorite part (the chicken and waffles were a big hit with our guests too!) The meal was definitely classic wedding food, but superior to other meals I’ve had at weddings! The staff working the night were some of the nicest people too!! We just had our wedding on 9/6 and our experience with La Pera from booking to the day of was incredible! We met them at our venue open house and instantly fell in love with their presentation and quality of food. Our complimentary tasting exceeded our expectations! I recommend their pie and ice cream bar! I wish I could have gotten it but it was beyond our budget . They work with other linen companies in town to help your vision come together. All our guests raved about the food, which in my opinion is the most important part.

Choosing La Pera for our wedding was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Beth was communicative and helpful throughout the entire process. Hollace is a true culinary creative. Together we came up with a vegetarian second entree that exceeded my expectations. The food was INCREDIBLE. 2 months post wedding and we are still getting compliments on it. Many of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! Presentation was stunning, staff was so sweet and professional, and the setup was done with attention and care. They are also so willing to work with any idea or vision in mind. We wanted a ramen bar for our late night snack, and it was executed beyond my expectations! I’ve been to a good number of weddings and I’m proud to say, our food was the best. Not only did it look the best, it tasted the best. We had a Mexican-themed wedding and the food was on point. Our friends were super impressed by the quality and taste of the appetizers and main dishes and had amazing things to say about La Pera. They also went above and beyond in terms of providing zero-waste or compostable serveware; sustainability was an important feature of our wedding. The best way to get in touch with them is via scheduling a phone call; communication was spotty in the beginning but once we got accustomed to only communicating via scheduling phone calls on their online portal, it went smoother from there. After almost two years of delivering endless bowls and buffets and admiring how good it all looks, we finally got ourselves a couple of bowls to enjoy. I have some serious regrets for not trying it sooner. We had a chicken bowl and steak heartbrand. The ingredients were fresh, well cooked and seasoned and mesh amazing all together. The presentation is clean and appetizing and the tastes are freaking delicious. This place is one of those secrets in Austin that isn’t going to be for much longer. If you want something different but also something accused of being healthy and tasting awesome, this is a spot to definitely hit up. I hope they make a spicy bowl for their menu down the line. Going to try jackfruit next time even though I love my meats. PS no pics cause we ate it too fast so go get yourself a bowl if you wanna oggle it first! I got the Basil bowl with tofu. There was supposed to be citrus and herb in the tofu, but the only flavor was salt. The Broccolini was also over-seasoned while other ingredients had no seasoning. “Roasted” carrots were raw and crunchy. The beets and squash were good and the combination of ingredients is well-conceived, but the execution was lacking. Will think twice before dining with them again.

We hired contigo catering for our September wedding, which had about 50 guests. Catering was our highest priority for our reception, since both of us are extremely passionate about good food and cocktails. At first, we had a bit of sticker shock from the event requirements, but it ended up being worth every penny for Contigo’s attention to detail, luxury service, and more.
Lindsey was super helpful throughout the booking process, answering all of our questions, making adjustments to the menu, and organizing our tasting. Every Contigo team member we interacted with was very professional, and was super helpful when working with an event with lots of different allergies and dietary restrictions. The bartenders also did an amazing job, and we liked the signature cocktails from our tasting so much we ended up picking three of them.
We fell in love with the food from Contigo’s tasting, and it tasted even better on our wedding day. One of us works in food media, we had a few colleagues wholeheartedly compliment the meal – a rarity in wedding food. We did our dinnerware rentals through Contigo, and everything looked elegant and stunning on the rentals we selected. Throughout the wedding day our personal server, Grace, ensured we were taken care of all night long. We’d gladly recommend Contigo for a wedding or private event if it’s within your budget.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Dream Catering this past weekend (September 20th, 2025) for Brie and Sam’s wedding at The Vineyard at Chapel Lodge, and they were phenomenal!
From the very beginning, Julie was a dream to work with—organized, responsive, and so calm under pressure. She made sure every detail was executed flawlessly and her leadership was evident throughout the night. Julie anticipated needs before anyone had to ask and kept everything running smoothly, which allowed the couple and their families to simply relax and enjoy the day.

From the minute we began working with Dream Events, they made our planning time easy. My partner and I are both vegetarians and we assumed that our caterers would make a special meal for us. Instead, they created a vegetarian meal good enough to put on our main menu – and it was such a hit! Not only that, but they saved horderves for me and my husband because we were busy during cocktail hour and wanted to make sure we ate (they also sent us home with multiple meals to enjoy in the hotel room at the end of the night). Our guests raved about the food and the service during cocktail hour and dinner! We are so so happy with the incredible service and delicious food yall brought to us – they were thoughtful and professional from start to finish.

We are beyond grateful for everything our caterer and florist team did for our wedding! From start to finish, they went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. The food, florals, and décor were absolutely stunning—better than we could have imagined. Dream Events beautifully handled our florals and food for our wedding. We enjoyed working with Caesar, Lisa, and Sergio for our wedding. We were looking for food options that were classic but something that you wouldn’t order at a restaurant to give our guests a great experience with some comfort food. We had our tasting and were a fan of the Cornish game hen (my aunt is still sad there wasn’t the rosemary cream sauce leftover) and the braised beef. For the sides, we chose rainbow carrots (which guests wiped out they were so good!) and a salad with mashed potatoes. We loved the mac and cheese so much that we asked Dream to create it into a shooter style for our guests to go with the appetizers for cocktail hour. Our guests loved the food and we still got compliments on how well it was all put together. We were served a private dinner at our venue and the food was hot and delicious. The staff kept the venue clean and bussed tables as the night went on. They worked with the coordinator to break it down. We held our reception at our church parish hall. The following day, the church was hosting a fellowship brunch after Sunday service and the ladies that went to help set up and cook found the kitchen cleaner than they had ever seen it. Dream didn’t cook on site but used the counters, fridge, and prep area and yet took the time to clean it better than they found it!
Florals – turned out beautiful they met with us a few times to run through colors and options. Florals were not my biggest vision – I just knew I wanted them to flow. The altarpiece was a little off-color-wise compared to my bouquet – but looked beautiful. Sergio set up on-site and had a few hurdles to jump through with the church liaison so I won’t reduce my review because of that. The bouquet was so beautiful I cried when I saw it. My bridesmaids had a ribbon tied around theirs that coordinated with the groomsmen’s accent colors. They really listened to that and worked with what florals were in season. I didn’t want my flowers dyed to match. We received a lot of compliments on the flowers as well. I asked Dream to include some willow and pheasant feathers which gave a whimsical vibe and really added some unique texture to our tables. Dream handled my family heirlooms for our wedding well. Sergio even took the time to help me with my mom’s bouquet from the 80s that had wax flowers and pearl beads to give it a refresh for my bridal portraits. The colors turned out lovely in the photos and looked so real! On the day of our wedding, my mom shared that she would be bringing my dad’s boutonniere from their wedding that had matching pearl beads to incorporate into his boutonniere for my wedding. He created the boutonniere on site for him and it turned out lovely and was a special detail included on our wedding day.
Overall I would hire them again for any event. Pricing was fair and competitive, and policies were also reasonable with regard to leftovers, serving of vendor meals, and cake. They really worked within our budget and came up with options and were open to ideas to help bring our vision to life. They visited our church and venue for a walk-through before our big day and really got to understand the space and were excited to share some cool visions and ideas with us. Even doing a table mock-up with the linens (which they handled and I’m so grateful for!). I can’t say enough good things about this team and really can’t wait to have another party so I can hire them and eat some amazing food!

I got married back in November 2022 and hesitated writing this review, but wanted to provide a realistic review of my experience with Redbook. As a bride the two most important things I wanted for my wedding and where most of wedding budget was going to was one food and second photography/videography. I chose Redbook based on the reviews and variety of food they provided. I am Vietnamese and my husband is American and we wanted to have food that reflected both of our upbringings. I appreciated that they had option to customize dishes.
From the very beginning, I made it extremely clear I was a vegetarian. I made it clear through the booking, the wedding food tasting we paid extra for at $150, and multiple emails and calls. We made sure on our wedding day we had scheduled 30 minutes to eat before doing all wedding stuff (pictures, greeting tables, dances etc). Imagine my absolute HORROR when on my wedding day as the bride the plate was brought to me had meat on it. Ok mistakes happen – I told the server I am a vegetarian. She then proceeded to tell me she was not informed of this and there was NOT a plate for me and it would take 20 minutes to prepare my plate for me. It’s one thing if you’re the guest – it’s another when you’re the bride. My wedding planner could see the absolute devastation on my face and proceeded to try to correct this. I ended up having to wait almost full 20 minutes my food and my poor husband tried to give me some carrots off his plate. I ended up rushing to eat my meal and didn’t even get to enjoy food we had paid for.
Another was that some of the tables did not receive the food that was set on our menu, including some of the wedding party. We had paid more for table service and guests were disappointed they did not receive the food that was on the menu.
The other issue was as well in the beginning, both me and my wedding planner had difficulty getting in contact with Adrianna. I completely understand missing an email here and there, but we often would have to send 3 emails spaced multiple days apart before we heard in a response. We also would try phone call/texting and it would take some time before we heard a response. She did however improve once we had a conversation about it, which I appreciate.
For full transparency we paid $30,964 for catering for 240 person wedding. This included family style service, charcuterie board for grazing for our cocktail hour, Vietnamese tostada for passing around, custom Vietnamese salad and soup for the table, shrimp dish, mushroom fried rice, ribeye, roasted chicken, mushroom “short ribs”, roasted baby carrots, and celery root puree. It also included 5 vendor meals, gratuities, and serving platters. So you can imagine why my expectations were higher than received.
Overall, I hope that Redbook improved since my wedding. I think overall I was disappointed – I believe I received better service and food at the wedding food tasting rather than my actual wedding. I didn’t spare any expense when it came to food (in fact my husband and I had Salt and Straw our favorite ice cream company based in Portland ship their ice cream to us for our wedding) and it was sad that our guests remembered the ice cream more than the actual food.
I acknowledge that Red Book was working at a new venue they had never worked at before, but still I would have expected better communication and overall better logistical planning for the price I paid.

Let me start by saying that overall, we loved working with RBC for our wedding and the food/drink quality is amazing! We would book them again and highly recommend them to anyone and everyone in need of event catering and planning. Adriana & Joe were so great to work with and because food/drink was a huge part of our wedding day, and I’m hyper-organized and a major perfectionist, their patience with us while we planned was exceptional. We went with the family style dining for about 125-150 guests and it was such a unique dining experience. Our guests had SO many good things to say about the drinks, service, and food!
That being said, there were a couple things that happened on our wedding day that were a bit disappointing. We’d specifically asked for NO disposables at all, yet they brought cheap little plastic cups anyway – I wish they would have informed us to up our rentals count if they thought we’d need more.
They also brought canned sodas without asking or telling us, which showed up in some of our wedding photos which was not appreciated. I wish they would have asked or mentioned it, since apparently they “always do that” for every wedding. We had water and tea, and frankly kids/anybody can go one evening without a soda.
The coffee cups we’d requested from Premiere (which RBC was coordinating for us) were not the ones that we got day-of so I’m not sure what happened there.
The biggest snags we experienced were an unauthorized change to one of our signature cocktails (we were designing a take on an Old Fashioned, and the syrup-coated fresh cranberry was substituted for a cheap dried Craisin straight out of the bag…), and we later found out that the lead banquet manager who was directing plates to tables was rude to our Best Man at the head table (they asked for more salmon and she told them “we allotted the proper portions, you’ll have to wait to see if we have any left over”).
Like I said, we WOULD book RedBook again in a heartbeat. Adriana was our literal angel and saved the day (and calmed my nerves) again and again. She is absolutely phenomenal and Joe is a bar master. Both of them really understood what we were going for! The snags overall just came down to a couple communication failures, and one rude staff member. At the end of the day, our guests didn’t know the difference and nobody noticed anything amiss besides us.

If I could give 10 stars to the RedBook team I would. We booked with Redbook for our 50 person rehearsal dinner that we hosted at our home, and it was the best decision we made! Leading up to the event Adriana’s communication was flawless. She was really clear on the plan, and also was helpful in offering additional services I had not thought of. The team that came was amazing. They took care of everything so that my wife and I could enjoy the night with our friends and family. I recently had Gourmet Gals help us celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday party. Audrey brought lots of great suggestions for the party and made the planning process extremely easy. She was very flexible with the food, drink, and decor selections as we worked together to find the best fit for celebrating on our back patio. We had a wonderful time working with Gourmet Gals for our wedding. They were our biggest vendor and they were very flexible and accommodating of our requests. It was a pleasure working with Jade, and Ari was always there to help us when Jade was occupied with the wedding season. They also worked with our venue and coordinator before which was a big plus and made everything go smoothly. They were very easy to work with on the payment plan and we thought their pricing was very competitive. It was also great that they took care of the rentals so we did not have to do that ourselves.
The hors d’oeuvres and one of our entrees were delicious. We were however very disappointed by the fact that the chicken dish we had on the day of our wedding was completely different from what we had during the tasting. It looked different, and tasted nothing like what we had during our tasting. Attached are the pictures of “Sundried Tomato Char-crust Chicken Breast” during the tasting and the wedding for comparison. The fact that this was the most picked entree by our guests meant that most of them had an entree we did not really choose or would have chosen if it was what we had during our tasting.
We still recommend them as we believe they can get their dishes more consistent between tastings and the actual event. We also believe they tried their best to make it up to us in the end when we brought it up, (although it was disappointing that they insisted these were the same dishes somehow). Overall, they were a vendor we could depend on, and Jade and the rest of the team at GG made it easy to work with them.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend this company based on our experience.
At our tasting we were not able to try the starter or the sides, which ended up being very disappointing on our wedding day (see salad pic).
The “assorted bread basket” (see pic) ended up being just the cheapest type of roll.
The beef was not cooked consistently. Tables which were served first had theirs cooked rare, while later tables received well done. The guests complained it was either too rare or dry.
The kids meal ($90 before service charge and tax) was a shocking tray of dino nuggets and fries (see pic). It was nearly the cost of an adult entree.
Also a small but annoying detail, they consistently spelled my wife’s name incorrectly despite numerous corrections :).
The food was overall not filling and a disappointing part of an otherwise great day. On a positive note though the staff was diligent and friendly.

We hired Gourmet Gals for my 75th Birthday party at my home in Bee Cave. They did an amazing job from 1st meeting to the final cleanup. Jade managed the whole process and the Team including two chefs worked like a fine machine to provide a wonderful buffet for my guests.

Gourmet Gals did an amazing job for our wedding, I couldn’t recommend them more. We worked with Jade for over a year since we like to plan ahead and she was there to help every step of the way. The food was amazing! They have a southern style to their food and it was exactly what we wanted being in Texas. We’ve been to other weddings where the food can be bland or soggy coming from a buffet style but this was delicious and all our guests loved it. Our May 2024 rehearsal dinner (about 80 ppl) was at the Deep Eddy Vodka tasting room and Cassandra and the Gourmet Gals team catered our event – and really did so much more to make this event amazing for us.
Choose them because their food was wonderful – from the tasty passed apps, to the plated salads and biscuits, to the main course buffet. The food was hands down delicious. Many guests commented on how much they loved the food. We were happy to have had a small tasting a few months prior and boy were we impressed.
Choose them because working with Cassandra means you have someone who is with you every step of the way to make sure your party/event goes as planned. I needed some help with vision and direction – and Cassandra offered 3 different directions each with food/decor/flower options. Once we had our vision down – Cassandra assisted in getting all of the table setting rentals and she also engaged a local florist they trust and handled getting our vision properly over to her and the centerpieces were just lovely and exactly what I wanted.
Choose them because on the night of your event – they are there all night making sure everything is perfect. Putting up our signage and photos, placing all rental items for the bar, and other decor items we brought (prob not many caterers will do this for you) and were so helpful in all aspects of prepping and take down the night of the event. Since we were arriving at the rehearsal dinner just as all of our guests were arriving….we needed it to be ready to go. Cassandra and team turned our venue from vodka tasting room to upscale hill country rehearsal dinner in 1.5 hours flat.
Choose them because when you are planning a special event you have a lot of details and questions and Cassandra was willing to meet with us many times over the months – we met at the venue (this was amazing as she and the venue manager knew all the right things to think about) and at the rentals place and on the phone (many times). I just don’t think many ‘caterers’ will do all of this for you to make sure the event is just what you want.
This was my first time doing an event of this size and our first rehearsal dinner / wedding event – so I was so appreciative of Cassandra and the Gourmet Gals team to have all of the expertise that I didn’t have and make sure we had a lovely time and a memorable experience for the bride and groom and families. Which, indeed, we did. We are very grateful and highly recommend.

I can’t say enough nice things about Russell and his crew. We needed to feed a nice dinner to 550 people in one hour and they made it happen! We had the chicken marinated in white wine sauce with mushrooms and tomatoes, caesar salad, herbed pasta, green beans, and bread with garlic butter.The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and they handled everything. They also did an excellent job of taking care of any special dietary restrictions in the group. Highly recommend!

Crave catered our wedding and they were absolutely amazing! Love, love, LOVED them & their food. We worked with Erica and Meredith and they were wonderful to work with, especially with our customized 3 course plated menu. We wanted an Italian Tuscany theme and quickly their team provided a range of options for us to choose from and try during tasting. Compared to another caterer we originally went, Crave’s dishes was at another level! They felt gourmet and high end and super tasty. We loved all the food we finalized for our wedding menu. We did get compliments from our guests how our wedding food was so good and best they’ve had compared to any other wedding they’ve been to. I highly recommend Crave if you want to customize your menu and want higher quality food. They are so great to work with and professional and very skilled! They also helped with managing the rentals we needed, since the venue did not provide, so that was helpful and we did not experience any shortages the day of! Wish my photographer took more of wedding day dish photos but uploaded photos from our Taste Testing day instead! They gave us an extra meal each, and a cheese board to take home and it was so sweet to have our wedding night meal again when we got home from the weekend, reminiscing on the wedding itself!

Meredith and team were so great to work with throughout our wedding planning process! The food and guest experience was one of the biggest priorities for us and they knocked it out of the park! The food tasted great, and guests felt like they were taken care of! The staff was very detail oriented and made sure that waters and wine were refreshed and service was efficient. They did a great job with cocktail hour, full bar service and champagne toast. They checked on me and my husband throughout the night to make sure we had plenty to eat and drink and were able to taste everything! They sent us home with plenty of cake, food, sparkling water, and a few extra goodies from their kitchen. They also arranged all of our rental orders through another vendor and took that off our plates! Tastings and walk-throughs ahead of time helped ease any worries and gave us time to talk through any outstanding questions. I highly recommend Crave and Meredith to anyone planning a wedding or event!! Thank you, Crave!!

I got married this past November and I still have family and friends still raving about how great our wedding food was! We worked with Sarah at Crave and she was amazing! Trent and I love pretzels and Sarah worked with us on having an amazing pretzel bar at our cocktail hour. Sarah suggested some fall cocktails that were perfect for our November wedding that also fit our personalities! We chose to do family style and it was a hit! For our main entrees, we selected Chicken Picatta Roulade and Beef Bourguignon with sides of mixed veggies and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. Crave offered a private dinner for Trent and I so we could eat, just us two, before we entered into our reception. It was great to have a minute to ourselves! Late night breakfast tacos, provided by Crave, were a big hit at the sparkler exit! I’m so glad we chose Crave Catering, the service was great and they even packed us up a little to-go back with some leftovers! Thank you Crave and thank you Sarah!

We recently got married at Ma Maison which only uses Crave Catering. I’m not going to lie – we were a little skeptical at first. But after our first tasting we were completely blown away, not only with the food but how professional the whole team was. Shout out to Sarah – you are superwoman! Sarah was extremely helpful with every detail from the beginning to the end. Me being a Type-A, mildly neurotic bride, she responded promptly to every email, phone call, random-ridiculous questions with such thoughtfulness and clarity. She even took us over to Marquee Rentals and setup mock table settings – the table cloths, the champagne flutes, the chairs, and way more, she made it superb! She made my vision come alive. Sarah truly is a saint sent down from the wedding heavens! A five-star review just doesn’t do her justice!
From the specialty cocktails, to the four-passed hors d’oeuvres, to the three-course plated dinner, to the open bar – we were beyond impressed with everything. The food was incredible! Our guests are still raving about how amazing the food tasted. The service was perfect as well. Literally the whole Crave team put on a show!
We are so grateful for the whole team at Crave for making our wedding the wedding of the century. I would love to do it all over again – it was so much fun! We literally can’t stop talking about how exceptional everything was. I would HIGHLY recommend Crave Catering to anyone for any event.
