Band Aid School of Music - South Austin

Bandaid School of Music is SUCH a fantastic program! All the teachers are local professional musicians, so the fees are supporting their livelihoods, and the program requires some amount of performance each semester in a low stress and highly supportive environment. It’s really cool to watch your kids rocking out on stage, learning to get over performance anxiety and have fun! Plus they can join a band and get weekly band lessons too! It’s just awesome!!!

Band Aid School of Music is amazing! Whether you're young or just young at heart, it's never too late to pick up an instrument or sing your heart out, and this is the perfect place to do it. The staff are friendly, patient, and really know their stuff. They shape each lesson around your goals, making the learning experience personal and fun. If you're hesitant or unsure, try a trial lesson—you've got nothing to lose and so much to gain.

We have been with Band-Aid for over a year now. They have been great and helping my son with drums and keyboard!! Easy lessons After school right across from our elementary. Our teacher Josh Mosier is patient and great with our 9 year old!!

We love Band-Aid! My son has been taking drum lessons from Wes for 7 years, and this is the one extra-curricular activity he consistently looks forward to and is committed to. Wes is an amazing musician and we feel so lucky to have him as a teacher. He is wonderful at sharing a passion for music with his students and teaches them much more than just how to play the instrument. Wes is an expert at making performing fun and keeping the students engaged. Starting my son at Band-Aid is one of the best decisions I ever made!

My 4.5-year-old son absolutely loves his music lessons with Satchel. In my opinion, he is the best teacher for young kids. Satchel has a wonderful approach, focusing on the positives when giving feedback and then gently guiding my son on areas to improve. This method keeps the experience uplifting and encourages growth without my son dwelling on mistakes. It’s amazing to see him stay confident and excited to keep learning.

My kid has been working with Josh at Band Aid School of Music for two years now. During that time her confidence and skills have grown and, most importantly, she has had a lot of fun! I definitely recommend!

Our recently turned five year old daughter has been doing the combo class with exposure to drums, guitar, piano, and voice, and it's exactly what we've been looking for! The staff is wonderful, the facilities are wonderful, the whole vibe is wonderful. And the performance experience is such a great opportunity! Couldn't recommend more highly.
