A special shout-out to George, my instructor — he was calm, clear, and incredibly patient. His way of teaching built my confidence and helped me stay focused during the test. Today June 3, 2025 I’m completed my driving lessons and road test at Target Driving School, and I had a wonderful experience. The instructor was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel confident behind the wheel. The examiner was professional, calm, and encouraging throughout the test. The instructor Elias was proactive in teaching, offering clear guidance and environment was friendly which really helped build my confidence behind the wheel. (Si, se hablan español) My friend is an adult who has never driven before. I practiced one time with her, however, my Spanish is not fluent enough to teach her properly. I called around driving schools in Austin and found this amazing driving school called Target Driving School right on the corner of Lamar and frontage road hwy 183. They also conduct driving tests for you to test with them so you do not have to wait for DPS to schedule you a test. My friend’s driving instructor was Elias who is very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. And is very thorough in his classes. He always texted my friend in advance to confirm driving classes. He was always positive in his attitude while also informing you on your strengths and weaknesses. The final driving test was conducted by a very nice man named George. He was also very kind and calm during the final exam to make my friend feel more at ease during her exam. I recommend this driving school for any kind of drivers that need to learn and test for their license because it was a wonderful experience.

I had an amazing experience with Target Driving School! Both the instructors I worked with (George and Teresa) were very calm and patient. As someone who was initially anxious about driving, their instruction boosted my confidence and the school's teaching methods have been extremely helpful in improving my driving skills. I didn't feel overwhelmed or scared at any point throughout the lessons, and even when I did make mistakes, neither instructor yelled at me or raised their voice, but only calmly and firmly corrected me on what I was doing wrong. I recently passed my test thanks to them. I would recommend Target Driving School to anyone who feels anxious or nervous about driving, but wants to learn.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Target Driving School. They were awesome in every thing they do for their students. Yolanda was nothing short of amazing for scheduling around our busy schedules. She can always figure something out. She always sends out reminders the day before to remind you of your upcoming lessons. My driving instructor, Elias, was so easy to work with. He's very patient and pointed out targets to make it easier, especially for me as a first time driver. He was very accommodating, and even one time he was sick, he called and apologized and rearranged our lesson for the next day. Thank you Elias!!! And last but not least, George, who was my instructor for my final lesson and exam. He too was very patient and emphasized all of the target points and always reminding me to focus on the targets, so that I would not miss them. I followed his instructions and guidance, and lo and behold, I passed the exam on my first attempt. Thank you to everyone at Target Driving School. I will always recommend you to anyone who needs additional driving skills. For anyone else reading this review, you will not be disappointed choosing Target Driving School P.S. Yes, I hugged my Husband. 🙂
