I wanted to go a bit lighter in a maintainable way and that is exactly what she gave me. She is so sweet and amazing at what she does! So happy to have found her to do my hair

Hadlee Gilliland is the best!! So lucky to have found her!! I like to do a lived in natural blonde look because I can’t get to the salon a lot. And she has this mastered and I’m always learning new hair facts from her, she’s very knowledgeable and knows what she is doing!!

Haircuts are fine.
Customer service is not. Front desk was not welcoming. The hairdresser seemed annoyed to have to cut my daughter’s hair and rushed it (she’s 13).
We’ve been there several times hoping we’d have better experiences each time but it’s the same. Not friendly. My daughter got her haircut today and was not comfortable at all. My daughter told me that the lady that was getting a haircut behind her was having a conversation with her stylist about things that shouldn’t have been talked about with a 13 year old in earshot. We won’t be returning.

My overall experience was great! The salon is absolutely beautiful—clean, chic, and welcoming. I was greeted kindly at the front desk and again by my stylist, Katherine. She offered me a beverage as we walked to her chair. They even have a fancy water machine with flavor options, plus coffee and snacks available, which was a nice touch. Katherine took the time to thoroughly listen to my hair goals, asked thoughtful questions, and offered helpful but honest recommendations and tips. I’ll definitely be going back to see her!

This is the best salon I’ve been to since moving here last October. The staff are professional and welcoming. I love my girl Sara! She does a phenomenal job! She is the only person I trust for my hair. I had never colored my hair before and wanted to add some highlights. And let me tell you, Sara delivered. 10/10 recommended!

Ashlee has been my go-to hairstylist for over a year now, and I can honestly say she’s the best in the business!

I have been hopping around salons in Austin for a few years now, and I can honestly say I have found a hair salon I will stick with! Ashley has been incredible every time. She actually listens to me, we talk through a plan together, and my hair comes out amazing each time! She is so sweet and easy to talk to, like a friend, and she is so, so knowledgeable. My hair is always a hot mess when I come in because I only go every six months, but she gets me right every time. The salon itself is super cute too! Highly recommend

I visit the Austin hair salon and see Grace she is AMAZINGLY talented and so so sweet:) Cut off about 22″ in length and ended with the cutest bob! and did I mention she’s like the sweetest person? Definitely enjoy my time in Graces chair feeling pampered and having good conversation.

Reece did an amazing job on my hair. Treated myself for a back to school / birthday appointment and she absolutely killed it. I’m so used to leaving hair appointments disappointed but I left genuinely ecstatic. She worked with my price point and gave me so much confidence. Can’t wait to go back!

Maddie is THE stylist to see for long hair! I’ve never been happier with a haircut in my life. She was very careful to keep my length and only cut more when I said we could go a bit shorter. The cut was fun, trusting, timely, and I’d say a giant success. I asked for 90’s face framing and layers and I really got it all. Since getting home I’ve fallen even more in love with my hair. 10/10!!!

I’ve been going to Red Stella for several years and keep returning. I love the location, the space, the atmosphere and the staff are always fantastic. The stylist always listens and is super helpful with suggestions when I don’t know what I want.
I have also started bringing my daughter who has very curly hair. Allie has done such a great job with my daughter’s hair and they get along really well.
My last visit I was also able to ask about a possible eyebrow wax while I was there and Allie turned on the wax to get it warmed up while she cut my daughter’s hair. I don’t think my eyebrows have ever been done this well.

Love Bre at Red Stella! She made my teen look like a glam star with a Neapolitan color scheme. The photos do not do it justice. It is stunning!

I was referred to Bre by my sister, and I’m absolutely in love with the color and cut she gave me! Bre was attentive to the vision I had, but I fully trusted her to be a little creative with the end result. She made suggestions for the overall health of my hair and aftercare of color. There were plenty of laughs and good conversations, but also time to read or be on my phone throughout the appointment, and Bre was always checking to see if I needed anything. I’ve been coming to this salon for a while now for pink highlights and recently decided to go fully pink. It’s so vivid it doesn’t even look real. If you’re looking for vivid bright colors, you should definitely book an appointment here with Bre!

Reece is amazing!! Needed a color correction – she did all of the prep before my appt to make sure the old red color would get canceled out. Went from darker red to a lighter brown so I can grow out my natural color! Love love love! Before and after pics shown

I got my haircut by Jen for the second time and can say these are my favorite hair cuts I have ever gotten. I highly recommend. I am quite picky and like a low maintenance style. I was not able to verbalize exactly what I was wanting but wanted something shorter. Jen seems very intuitive and skilled. The way she cut my hair is better than what I would have thought of. It is obvious she knows what she’s doing. she also seemed to understand what is good for my hair type

The gray is so subdued now that I can’t believe my hairstylist was able to pull off a miracle. Lol
I am so appreciative that the salon was open so early on a Saturday. It was the only time I was able to get help for my hair.

Jay is an absolute treasure. I’ve been going to Garbo for over a decade now, most of that time working with Jay. He’s a wizard with my curly hair and an absolutely delightful human. The rest of the staff is always so friendly. All around, it’s consistently a great experience. I recommend Jay and Garbo to everyone looking for a stylist.

Jaden is 10/10!! I can never let anyone touch my layers after finding her. I love the salon’s ambiance and fantastic product selection. They also have an awesome shampooing room with low lighting. The shampoo is always so relaxing. Can’t wait to come back!

Connie is my go to for cut and color and also adore her as a person. It’s always easy at Garbo. Shay is wonderful, Marsha is wonderful and runs a great salon. I enjoy my experiences there and am always happy when I leave.

I normally go to my home salon out of state, where I’ve been a client for over 10 years and NEVER had a problem. When I can’t get there, I’ve used this salon in between — and when I’ve seen Eli, it was great. Unfortunately, my last two visits with Evelyn, and today’s attempted correction with Jasmin, have been very disappointing.

With Evelyn, I first came in for a root touch-up and left with a completely mismatched, lighter color. At my next appointment with her, I asked for an allover color with warm/golden blonde highlights, showed photos of what I wanted, and referenced the lighter shade from my previous visit. Instead, I left with the darkest base I’ve ever had and ashy highlights — the complete opposite of what I requested. When I raised concern while the color was processing, I was told it only looked that way because it was wet, and I was turned away from the mirror during styling until the very end.

Today, I came back to use the 2-week guarantee. When setting up the appt, the front desk was excellent — they reviewed my photos with me and did their best to set me up with who they thought would be the best stylist. Marina, the esthetician, has also been consistently wonderful and is the one who told me about the guarantee.

Unfortunately, when I sat down with Jasmin, she wasn’t interested in really trying to fix the problem. She did glance at the pictures, but instead of working toward the look I showed, she focused on her conversation with Evelyn and her idea of what she was going to do, she used technical terms I didn’t know and said the picture wasn’t possible. When I pointed back to the picture to clarify that was the look I wanted, she still dismissed it, minimized my concerns, and said the cut I wanted had already been done, even though it clearly didn’t look like the photo. At that point, I didn’t feel heard or respected, so I left rather than risk another mistake.

I spent over $600 for the all over color, partial highlight and cut, none of which was correct and now I will still need to pay someone else to get it corrected. The front desk team and Marina deserve recognition for their great customer service, but my experiences with Evelyn and Jasmin showed me that the results and professionalism here are very inconsistent.

I’ve never had issues at my regular salon, so I know the problem here wasn’t me or my expectations — it was the service. If you’re thinking about this salon, be careful: the quality is very inconsistent depending on who you see.

If you can get in with Eli for hair, you’ll likely be happy. Otherwise, my experience has been costly and frustrating.

Last week I went here to get my full roots done, and had the worst hair experience here. I wasn’t expecting that because I have come before and loved it, unfortunately not the case. I left with my hair tangly and yellow, my roots looked the same and very upset because I had school pictures the next day. My hairdresser made me feel terrible, I asked why alot of strands were out and then she started getting rude, she was talking bad about me to other hairdressers nearby I heard her when I left the bathroom and then she did it again when I sat down. I had waited almost half a year and was really excited for this and it was really hard sitting in the chair for 4 hours after hearing that and then getting horrible results. From the pictures you can clearly see that my roots are still brown and the bleach application wasn’t the best. The bleach was spotty and not a consistent color, I also told her I had a shoulder injury and she forgot halfway through, and told her I was uncomfortable and she didn’t do anything. I thought it was going to get better but it didn’t, the whole thing felt so rushed and careless. When she blowdried my hair she didn’t brush it out all the way or section it she just grabbed the front pieces and started, I left the store with still wet hair and it was very tangly. After this I had to go home and redo my whole hair. I shouldn’t have to stay awake till 2 in the morning trying to fix a problem a professional should do right the first time. I was very disappointed and wanted my senior pictures to look good. This was definitely the worst hair experience I have had, the service, the actual result, and how I got treated. I hope no one else has to go through this if they come here, everyone deserves to get treated with respect especially if your paying for it. Truly not a fun night and I deserve a refund.

First time visitor to Urban Betty and I had an awesome spa facial with Madeline Medina! She and the salon were currently running some promotions, so I was able to get an incredible experience and tailored product recommendations to add to my routine [excited to try the Sorella SPF!].

Madeline is very sweet, knowledgeable, and fun to work with! She can provide great guidance on your routine and she made the service very relaxing- I highly recommend her!

If I could leave Kat 10 stars, I would. Not only is she a cool person, but she gave me the exact haircut I asked for. Lots of layers, face framing, trimmed bangs, etc.

Throughout the entire process, she was communicative so I knew we were on the same page. At the end, she asked me to feel my hair & let her know if I wanted any tweaks made. It was perfect, but I appreciated the time to give feedback/make tweaks. She also shared products/practices for me to help keep my hair healthy and styled in a way I like.

My family was in the area for vacation and I had been putting a much needed haircut for my daughter off. I did some research and stumbled across Ugly Betty Salon. Read through apart profiles and found Kat. She seemed like a great fit for what my daughter was looking for. We were so right! My daughter had been wanting to try bangs and needed some layers added and weight removed. Kat exceeded our expectations but was just as personable and sweet as previous clients described. She suggested products and even showed my daughter how to help style her new bangs. We will definitely be booking with Kat in the future for a girl’s day.

I was stunned, no words when Cam showed me my cut. For reference I have, fine, Asian hair and lots of it. I made an appointment because I was not happy with the haircut I received elsewhere just two months ago, and the sleek and bouncy cut I received from Cam is a transformation from what I came in with. I haven’t had my hair done for almost two years so I really needed a fresh look. I specifically chose Smooshine after seeing so many girls with naturally dark hair achieving the color I was looking for.

Cam listened to what I wanted, offered an alternative approach to bleaching (which I wanted to avoid), and took his time explaining everything to me. Communication is one of the key things I value in a stylist, and Cam certainly checked that box.

His air touch approach to coloring came out great on my hair. It’s subtle but still noticeably dimensional. I’m excited to see how it turns out after a few weeks. Cam also gave me a haircut with texture without losing too much length or volume, which he also communicated with me throughout.

Cam is very talented and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for natural looking balayage, consult with him! Services are on the pricier side, but if you’ve done similar services before, you’d know you get what you pay for. I’d also like to thank the assisting stylist Jason for his service. It was a great experience.

Cam has done amazing work with my hair! He is the only stylist I’ve ever had that has been able to get my hair (Asian black hair) lifted to a light blonde in a single sitting (and I’ve tried this many times before), and kept my hair healthy as well. So impressed, and one of the best decisions/finds I’ve ever made.

After Ruben at RC Salon botched my hair and cut the left side thinner and shorter, I called Bella Salon. Kaylee or Kayleigh told me not to worry and that Sage would repair what Ruben damaged. Ruben ruined my hair Thursday and Master Stylist Sage left me amazed two days later! She washed hair and told me how she would cut and layer my hair. She showed me how to round brush for a full wavy look or allow it to air dry and release the curls. Shannon at front desk took a marvy video of Sage’s exceptional treatment of my hair. You will be happy if you have thick/wavy/curly hair and go to Bella Salon. Sage knows how to style. I will not trust my hair to anyone but Sage at Bella Salon. All the stylists at Bella Salon know the art of a magnificent cut. Thank you Sage. I purchased Oribe products because my hair needs taming and it leaves my hair baby soft. In Italian, Bella means beautiful. Every woman deserves to be beautiful at any age.

Could not recommend enough! I’ve been coming here for years and always leave so satisfied. Melanie is my go-to stylist and she’s been so great, my color turns out perfect every time. We had to do a little experimenting to get the exact color I wanted and she was so patient and professional in working through that process with me. Harlow is an amazing experience!! From checking in at the front desk to seeing my stylist everything was first class! I went in for a blow out with Danielle and the shampoo was fantastic! They add so many wonderful touches like eye masks. The customer service is the highest I have seen! I had a loose extension and Shelby came over and helped me with it!! My blow out was gorgeous and lasted a really long time, and I’m pretty picky! Please don’t walk here, RUN! Especially if you have/need extensions!

Had a great experience with Chelsea! She really listens to what you want and genuinely cares about how your hair turns out. She was transparent about pricing before service started and was very easy to talk to. The salon was clean and inviting. She’s also great at communicating throughout the process—letting me know what she was doing, what the next step was, and even why she was stepping away (whether to mix dye or grab a towel). It made the whole experience feel really professional and thoughtful.

The hair wash was absolutely delightful, and the head massage? So relaxing—I could’ve stayed in that chair all day. I was also offered a drink when I arrived, which was such a nice touch.

I’ve already booked my next touch-up with Chelsea, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. She’s amazing at what she does and makes you feel completely taken care of.

After lots of searching – I have finally found my stylist! Caren is so skilled- I had a rough idea what I wanted and she took a couple of my inspiration photos and delivered above and beyond! She cut and colored my hair better than what I imagined! She’s also so funny and welcoming too. Thanks, Caren!

Madison Williams gives me the best haircuts of my life. I have long wavy hair, and she does precise dry cuts that work beautifully to bring out my waves. When she says the cut should last six months, she’s not kidding. I’ve seen her twice a year for 4 years now and I LOVE how my hair looks. I’ve recommended her to all of my wavy/curly friends!

I also really like the salon experience. Their process and space have both been thoughtfully designed with inclusiveness at the forefront. It’s a sleek, user-friendly, and calming experience from start to finish.

If I could give this place 6 stars, I absolutely would! Savannah did an amazing job with my color—it turned out beautifully. And as for Jim… he is truly THE BEST! I went in for a big chop, and he took the time to really assess my hair, carefully considering my 2a/3a (and everything in between!) curl pattern. He sculpted my hair with such precision and artistry—it’s honestly the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. Jim explained his technique, including why he used a razor to open up my curls, and gave me a step-by-step on how to style my new short look. I can’t say enough about how talented he is. Thank you so much, Jim! My hair looks incredible, and I feel amazing!

This place is awesome! The salon is gorgeous. A small but good thing to note was how comfy the hair washing bowls were, I’ve never truly been comfortable in one until here. I got my hair blown out by the new assistant Aubrey, and she was great! She was super easy and fun to talk to, and very quick with the styling. She also made sure that my hair was exactly how I like it, making me very comfortable. The people at the front desk were very kind and helpful too! Overall great experience!

On my first cut with Jace, he took the time to understand my hair’s weird texture and what I wanted, and did a custom cut that is easy to style but can also be polished with a blowout. Before pic is the one with the yellow shirt. At my second visit with him he NAILED it a second time, and yesterday I went back for my third and because I trusted him I let him do the curtain-y bangs he suggested and I love it! The vibe is relaxed at the salon and they don’t try to get you to buy products; just really really exceptionally good stylists who actually listen and work with instead of against your hair’s natural texture.

I had such a great experience with Kasey and Dylan! They did both my cut and color, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I came in really unsure about what color I wanted, but they took the time to listen to my ideas and talk me through options without ever making me feel rushed. Kasey and Dylan were so polite, patient, and genuinely kind throughout the whole process. They paid close attention to detail and made sure I was comfortable with each step. I left loving both my color and my cut—exactly what I was hoping for! I highly recommend Kasey and Dylan if you’re looking for someone who’s not only talented but also really cares about giving you the look you want.
