Emergency Dentist of Austin office on Norwood Pkwy Austin, TX is AMAZING! They saw me today, Sunday afternoon/evening for severe tooth pain that gradually became worse throughout the weekend. I called at 3:30pm & they saw me right away at 4:30pm. Based on the panoramic x-ray and exam, I needed an immediate extraction and again, right away prepared me for the procedure. I felt no pain, the tooth was out in minutes. The cost was absolutely affordable & I was not charged for unnecessary things. Staff, Dentist, & Dental Assistant were professional, thorough, kind and compassionate. I was given a completely realistic treatment plan, along with care instructions. Thank you Emergency Dentist of Austin, you guys came in CLUTCH!!

I broke a front tooth veneer in Hawaii on a work trip and desperate to find a capable Dentist and Emergency Dentist of Austin had availability (Thank God) the day I returned.. They had a temporary replacement fix made while there and made the mold to send out for the permanent. Usually takes a few weeks but I paid a very reasonable fee for a rush. In one week I had my new veneer on and it was a perfect match. I was there less than an hour for them to make a great solid fit. Next day I am now off on a trip to Mexico for my anniversary with beautiful teeth!
I highly recommend them and think they were very professional and responsive.

Full disclosure: I am actually the office manager for this location, but I thought it would be an interesting experience to put myself in the patients shoes for once. I still had my wisdom teeth as of today, but I decided to put myself in the care of Dr. Dudeen today and finally rid of these teeth I should have taken out ages ago. The team was as compassionate as always and reassured me along the way as I too, as many patients have shared, can get quite anxious in the dental chair… which is probably why I had not gotten my wisdom teeth removed until now. Dr. Dudeen was speedy and efficient, I did not feel an ounce of pain and he was very careful to ensure I was comfortable during the procedure by checking in with me as much as possible, I am extremely happy to know this is the care patients get everyday. Angelica (one of our amazing RDAs) assisted with the procedure and was precise and caring throughout the whole process, explaining to me very well how to take care of the site post-op. Finally, the front office team (Nova, Maggie and Alfredo) were very supportive and very excited to learn about how it feels to be a patient in the care of EDoA. I am excited to be able to have even more extensive knowledge on exactly how every single step of a wisdom tooth extraction feels and looks like for a patient, and most of all, I am very excited to share that I am very confident in the expertise and compassion of this team and that we will ensure you are in good hands with us!

This place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in MONTHS. Really disgusting dental office which made me uncomfortable and question if the tools they used were actually sterilized. Many machines and tools were broken during my visit. Dental assistant clearly did not know what she was doing a required help three times to just take X-rays. The dentist was nice. I feel like they should at least clean your teeth for the $90 fee. This place needs a deep clean. Disgusting.

It was overall a great experience. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I brought my daughter with me and they made it a memorable experience for her. They took her to the front to watch her favorite shows while I got my cavities taken care of. The entire staff worked diligently and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Great facility!!!!

If I could rate this office lower, I would. Avoid unless you absolutely have to come here for an emergency and no other options are available. I came in for a tiny chip in my front tooth that happened on a tooth with old composite bonding just on the bottom edge. I was leaving town on a Monday morning and was needing the tiny area smoothed out on the weekend, or I would’ve of course visited my normal dentist. It was not even noticeable cosmetically because of how tiny the chip was, but sharp on my tongue, so I thought it would be a super safe fix to have it smoothed until I could address the chipped bonding later on (if I even wanted to—again, wasn’t noticeable). The dentist smoothed the affected area as expected, but unfortunately, he filed the tooth next to it as well which had no damage or issues whatsoever when I came in. It was my natural tooth with no composite bonding, and it’s now a totally different shape than when I came in, and is way worse than the minuscule chip I went it to fix. The tooth (the one he incorrectly filed away) is not only a different shape, but now this creates a gap in between my teeth that was not there before—all of this that I’m referring to is unrelated to the actual chipped tooth I needed to be smoothed (that part is fine). This is extremely unfortunate that a natural tooth next to the affected tooth was filed in error, but I understand mistakes can happen so I let the dentist know straight away while in the office, as well as called back later when I was really able to confirm my natural tooth (next to the chipped one) was filed in error. All I asked is that I receive a refund for the just the service cost—I was okay to pay for the exam cost—to account for this permanent mistake that I now have to go elsewhere and pay hundreds of dollars to correct. And it’s not even what I went in there for! They were not willing to work with me or provide any sort of resolution, and did not own up to their mistake—this is the part I take the most issue with. They keep claiming that, because it was bonding material, it just “came off” and this is what caused the gap. This is 100% false because the tooth that they’re referring to had no bonding and was fully my natural tooth, and it’s a totally different shape than before now. They’re acting like I don’t know what my teeth looked like (as if I don’t have pictures of my smile before to prove it) or like this was somehow my fault for having bonding on my front tooth, even though that’s not the part they filed away in error. It’s insane to not be willing to own up to it or be willing to refund a small service cost ($150). I regret my decision to come here so much and my tooth will never be the same Do not come here!

Wonderful experience!! My son chipped his front tooth and we were able to be seen right away. Dr. Smitherman and her nurse Melissa have a very calming bedside manner and did a beautiful job repairing the tooth. No tears were shed in the office. 10/10 recommend.

The dentists and staff at Tech Ridge Dental are amazing. I can’t say enough good things about them. Dr. Minnie, Dr. Sean, Lindsay, Ken, Ellen, Dulce and all their awesome staff go above and beyond each and every visit. Tech Ridge Dental has been my family’s dentist for over a decade, and we love coming here. They are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt, and they are a team that enjoys working and being together and it shines through. Before discovering Tech Ridge Dental, I was so nervous about going to the dentist, but they have changed that for me. They have created something really special here, and I am so overjoyed that we found them all those years ago.

I’m new to Austin, and I think that the staff at Tech Ridge are the friendliest people that I’ve met yet. I’m not saying that others aren’t friendly, but this staff made me feel at home in Austin. They absolutely live up to the reviews that I’d read about them. Ellen, my hygienist, communicated all of her step by step procedures throughout the exam, and Dr. Sean was kind, gentle and thorough. Everyone from the front desk to checkout was professional and, again, extremely kind.

I can’t say enough good things about Enamel Dentistry! From the moment you walk in, the space feels elegant and welcoming—clearly designed with hospitality in mind. It’s not just a dental office, it’s an experience. One of my favorite things is that you can choose whatever show or movie you want to watch while getting your teeth taken care of. It really helps you relax and makes the time fly by.
Jenilee is the hygienist who always takes care of me, and she’s absolutely amazing. She’s sweet, personable, and genuinely fun to be around. She always remembers details about my life and checks in, which makes the whole experience feel more personal. I always leave with peace of mind and squeaky clean teeth. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a dental office that goes above and beyond!

Very pleased with Enamel Dentistry South Lamar! I was able to get a next day appointment to fix a crown even though I had never been a patient there. The staff were wonderful starting with the front desk. I was called back immediately to a clean treatment area. The hygienist and dentist were both friendly and calming. They checked on me frequently to ensure comfort. They were both detail oriented and thorough. Pricing was transparent and reasonable. I scheduled a cleaning on my way out and plan to stay on as a regular patient. Thank you, Enamel!

Great team at Daylight Dental South Austin!! Let me start off by saying, I was searching for a dentist to see my 6yr old because she said her tooth was hurting, Daylight dental office had an emergency appointment available the next day & I was able to book super quick & very easily!!
The office was clean & the staff was very welcoming when I arrived, check in was a breeze, once we got to the back my daughter had a tv above her dentist bed including headphones to keep her calm during her visit. The doctor was nice, she was very professional & she answered every question I asked about my daughter’s exam.
I want to recognize one lady ( Esme ) Esme went above & beyond to make sure my daughter left comfortably after my daughter’s services were completed. She helped me check out, set another appointment that worked for our schedule & she answered more questions I had about services they offer! Thank you so much Esme (:

Great service! My tooth fell out late Friday night, and they actually responded that same night and got me scheduled for the next morning. They’re upfront about the risks and flexible enough to work with you to meet your goals. The team knows their stuff and breaks things down in a way even my simple mind can understand. And unlike other places that say they’re open on Saturdays but aren’t — these guys actually are. This is the spot for emergency dental, cosmetics, and more!

Completely dissatisfied with Family Forest Dentistry.
Twice now, they’ve failed to follow clear instructions for my bridge work. I emphasized that my priority was the front bridge and explicitly asked for the back to be removed from the treatment plan. They claimed it was updated—yet I returned on 9/24 only to receive a plan for the back bridge again. This office does not listen, wastes time, and seems more focused on payment than patient care. I took time off work for nothing and have seen no resolution. I’m now forced to find a more competent provider.

Forest Family Dentistry is the best! I have been going for many years now and won’t go anywhere else. The office staff are organized and professional. My first visit went OK . Cleaning x-rays scan and DDS exam. I had confirmed my insurance does not cover two x-rays a year and scheduled only a cleaning for my second visit.
Second visit, as soon as they had me in the chair they began high pressure to do more x-rays. I declined. The front desk, person hygienist, and the doctor all came by to put social and situational pressure in me to accept the x-rays. I still declined and all of the staff became rude and visibly upset.
My significant other had a very similar experience. I am not going back.

Where to start? Late last week on a Thursday night I accidentally chipped one of my upper front two teeth. It wasn’t a large chip but it was noticeable to me and I wanted it fixed. The only problem was that if I didn’t get it done the next day on Friday, I would’ve had to wait until the following week to get it looked at. I woke up on Friday and I Googled “Top-rated NW Austin Dentists”. Among many, Forest Family Dentistry popped up with their glowing 4.9 rating. With so many dental practices closing at noon on Friday I was happy to see that they were open until 5:30 PM. I gave them a call and I was pleasantly greeted by Misty. I explained my situation and she was caring and compassionate. She put me on a brief hold and got back to me promptly. She asked if I could come in at 3 PM and I was ecstatic! I arrived at 3 PM and I was again greeted by Misty at the front desk. She could not have been nicer. After checking in I was introduced to Idalis who escorted me back to the examination room. Like Misty, Idalis was so kind and compassionate. She examined the chip and assured me that they would have no problems repairing it. Shortly after that the dentist and proprietor, Dr. Robin Bethell, walked in and greeted me with a handshake and a smile. I was not surprised because great customer service and bedside manner starts at the top! I had experienced it with each of his staff members before meeting him. Dr. Bethell repaired my tooth, matched the shade, and I was in and out their office in about an hour. You would have never known I had chipped a tooth. The last thing I wanted to do was break a tooth, but the silver lining was discovering Forest Family Dental and Dr. Bethell, and then getting to take a trip down Memory Lane walking around the 51-year-old Village Shopping Center where their office is located. Thank you again, Dr. Bethel, Idalis and Misty – you’re the best!

If you’re looking for a dentist you’ll actually love going to, we can’t recommend the Forest Family Dentistry team enough! ✨ These offices (I’ve been seen at the Anderson, Burnet, Research, and Round Rock over the last ten years—for normal cleanings, as well as Invisalign, TMJ treatment, an oral device for improved sleep, as well as the infrequent dental-emergency) have all the latest technology, the staff are incredibly friendly, and they do a fantastic job every time. Responsible, professional, and truly patient-focused — I wish everyone loved their dentist as much as we do! Even our five year old is a fan.

I had two crowns done today at Austin Artistic Dental and it was a truly pleasant experience from start to finish. Dr. Hulse was incredibly professional, gentle, and explained everything clearly. His assistant Priscilla was amazing—so kind, calming, and attentive the entire time. The office is clean, welcoming, and runs smoothly. I had a great experience there for my first visit. The dental assistant was great, very quick and efficient. Dr. Hulse has a very calm and understanding demeanor that really helped my nerves, he’s very easy to understand, and honestly I felt a lot better after he checked my mouth and explained a couple of things to me. The hygienist is incredibly skilled as well, I did not feel much pain while she was cleaning my teeth and they feel and look a lot better! The patient coordinator also broke down my payment options clearly and everyone was very nice. Thanks so much and I would definitely recommend this team to others.

After visiting many dentists in the Austin area, I finally found Dr. Hulse and I’m extremely grateful to have found him. I had a gap between my teeth and I wanted to get this fixed as I’m getting married. I opted for the video consultation initially before mocking on to in-person consultation. The consult was very detailed and Dr. Hulse gave me multiple options that I could choose from based on my needs and budget. I could make appointments very easily and the reception here is exceptional too! My entire procedure was complete in 3 visits within a month and I’m so happy with the results! Best in the city for cosmetic dentistry!

I look back at old pictures of my previous veneers and ask myself “who is that?”.
It’s in the name – Dr. Hulse’s artistry is unmatched and is truly your best option if you want cosmetic dentistry that looks natural and feels like “you”.
I came to Dr. Hulse in 2023 to discuss my fears of a darkened veneer that was just shy of a year old. After discovering that this veneer had failed, Dr. Hulse kindly wrote a letter to my previous dentist explaining the issue, which ultimately helped me receive a refund. That kind of care and advocacy meant so much.
My new veneers are perfect; saying I couldn’t see myself without them is an understatement. I wouldn’t change a thing. The shape is exactly what I wanted. The process was easy and Dr. Hulse took the time to get every aspect perfect – color, shape, fit.
Not only is he and his entire staff talented and knowledgeable, they are also kind and warm people. It is lovely to see all of them each time I come in!
I have since made this my permanent dental office. I have done everything from cleanings, fillings, Kor whitening treatments to Invisalign and cosmetic work.
I get compliments almost daily on my smile. You won’t regret this investment in yourself! 🙂

I had a great experience at Austin Artistic Dental! The clinic is very pleasant, clean, and modern, with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
I received a thorough and informative consultation from Dr. Hulse, who took the time to explain everything clearly and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the visit. The entire staff was friendly and professional, which made the whole experience even better.
I’ve already scheduled my next appointment and am happy to have found a dental clinic I can fully trust. Highly recommend!

Lifetime Dental has taken great care of our family! Dr. Shiki is a fantastic dentist who always goes out of his way to connect with us and even chats about our shared interests. Our hygienist Shari has been amazing especially with my kids! She takes extra time to make them feel at ease, and she made their first visits such a positive experience. My oldest even told my youngest how fun the dentist is because of her! I couldn’t ask for a better team to take care of our family’s dental health.

I am new to the area and I was looking for a dental office and always head to the reviews and check out the website of any new medical office I plan to go to. I am so happy that I came here for my dental treatment! Like so happy haha and it seems that many others are as well. I have worked in the dental field (orthodontics) for quite sometime , so my expectations are quite high when I a look for an office. From the initial call to the warmth and professionalism of the staff, this place exceeded all my expectations. I love that this is a private office, as my experience has been that the care is always much better. The office has 5 doctors and plenty of staff which I believe allows them to have more availability than most private offices.
When I called, I spoke with Katie, the front desk/new patient coordinator and she helped me schedule an appointment. She was very helpful , polite and even sweeter in person! This already prepped me for being excited for the first visit. I have since been there twice now and both times I’ve seen her she greeted me with a smile and wholesome conversation.I also love that they have early morning appointments starting at 7:30am. This really worked with my schedule. Thanks Katie!
At my first appointment I was greeted by Sheri, the registered dental hygienist who took care of my initial exam ( xrays, periocharting, and cleaning). She was really kind and explained everything that was going to take place during the visit. She was knowledgeable and very friendly and easy to talk to. She was gentle with the cleaning and my teeth felt great after! After the dentist ( Dr. Toshiki Soejima) looked at my teeth, we agreed there was a couple of areas to be taken care of, so I scheduled to come back.
At my follow up visit I was welcomed by another dental assistant, Susie. Once again I was just so impressed that 100% of the staff I met there so far has just been absolutely delightful. She made sure I was comfortable and had a very soft soothing voice that calmed me. She was a wonderful assistant to Dr. Toshiki while he was doing my treatment.
As for the treatment and my experience with Dr. Toshiki, I couldn’t be happier. I guess it had been a while since I had any sort of treatment done at a dentist office, but I was blown away on how easy and efficient he made the process. I had a filling done for a developing cavity, a restoration from a molar fracture and a sealant on a back molar. I was in at 7:30am and out about 8:30am. In no way did I feel rushed and I was made comfortable the entire time. I was properly numbed on the filling sites, and he made sure my bite was comfortable before I left and made any adjustments to the restorations before I left. Thank you so much, so glad to have these taken care of by you!
I am sure that the rest of the staff and the doctors are equally stellar and I highly recommend this office. Oh it’s also a nice building inside and I like all the natural light that comes through.
Thank you Austin Lifetime Dental for making this such a great and unique experience!=]

I’ve been going to ALD for over 15 years and I cannot recommend them enough. They literally changed my life. Everyone there is so nice and and it seems like they’re the happiest people on the planet. It makes me want to work there myself. They’re always smiling, always accommodating, and they treat you like royalty. I’ve worked with every dentist there and they’re all fantastic. I’ve worked with almost every hygienist and dental assistant and they’re all amazing as well. The front staff work together like a well coordinated team and they cover for each other like they could do it in their sleep. Let’s face it, no one likes going to the dentist but here, they somehow make it a pleasant experience every time. And my smile has never looked better!

I went to a different dentist office and they did not re-cement my cap properly. This caused my bite to not be even, and gave me pain when I ate and slept.
Due to that, I got recommended to Lifetime Dental. I am so happy I did. Dr Caraballo and Rebekah were the BEST! They were able to fix the cap and my bite, so I am no longer in pain! They are both super friendly and professional. Looking forward to going back here as a regular patient!

Dr. Lane and Suzanne are amazing. They did my veneers ten years ago and to this day, every dentist I see compliments how natural they look and some even ask where I got them done! I recently decided to get them redone because I wanted my teeth whitened, and I knew there was no one I’d trust more than Dr. Lane. Just like the first time, the whole experience was smooth and a 10/10. Suzanne is incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. They’re not only skilled but also genuinely care

I am beyond grateful for what led me to Dr. Shikis team of professional dentistry. The consultation with Sherry was warm and inviting leading into some extensive dental needs performed by Dr. Shiki and his assistant Susie. From the time I walked in the door covering a two week period of exceptional communication exceeding personalized dental care was nothing short of phenomenal. I would without any doubt highly recommend Dr. Shiki and his team. Thank you for restoring my smile in a warm and inviting atmosphere with such demeanor of genuine care and professionalism. See you in six months for my regular maintenance. I will look forward to walking through the front door of this dental practice every time!

I went into Swish Dental for the first time today not knowing what to expect, especially feeling a bit insecure about the condition of my teeth. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was so welcoming. I’ve never felt more comfortable with people I had just met. Dulce and the entire staff were amazing—friendly, patient, and thorough. They explained every step of the process and made the pricing clear and easy to understand. I truly feel I made the right choice choosing Swish Dental for my Invisalign journey.

I was scheduled quickly. They were able to do the extraction the same day as my exam as the doctor was in the office that day. Dr. Marx was very understanding, explained the quick procedure and offered options to make the experience virtually pain free. My anxiety subsided & this was the best experience at a dental office! Excellent Doctor & support staff! Will be back for more work.

Pretty cool place. Everyone (and I do mean everyone) was kind and helpful ensuring that the visit was smooth and without hiccups or surprises for the future. Got a whitening for the first time ever and got to binge a couple of episodes of Brooklyn 99 while I waited for the procedure to finish. Overall, 10/10 would do again.

Great dentist office. I have been a few times and each time the customer service gets better. My last hygienist was Natelie and she was amazing. Teeth cleaned with minimal discomfort and out in less than a hour.

I hate going to the dentist!!! BUT this group was awesome. They were so warm from the initial call setting up my appointment to the hospitality throughout the visit. My hygienist was quick , thorough and kind. The dentist didn’t try to drill out every little dark spot she saw on my tooth as an up charge cavity filling. We discussed a plan for my teeth grinding, which no dentist had ever talked to me about before. She didn’t try to up-sell every procedure to me. I really liked everything about them! I found my new dental practice!

Hands down the best dental hygienist I’ve ever had, Dulce. My routine dental cleanings are usually painful as they tend to be rough with me and stab me a lot. But I was comfortable the whole time and the end result was flawless. I didn’t know that kind of experience was possible. The front desk staff and the dentist were also excellent and the office and tools are the most modern/advanced that I’ve experienced. I’m also grateful for the promotional discount on Invisalign. I’ve been wanting to do it for 5 years, and the discount finally made it accessible to me.

What a pleasant experience in their new office off south 1st street! Everyone has always been very pleasant and nice. Today was no different. Dr. Adam was great and made sure I was very comfortable for a small dental procedure that’s not normally super comfortable for me. The nitrous oxide and suction mouthpiece were game changers for my overall experience. I’ve also really enjoyed their cinnamon essential oil treatment in the past. It’s very refreshing and almost makes the dentist trip feel like a bit of a spa. The energy and music always feel very calming in the space and I appreciate that. For some of your anxious patients you should try using the weighted xray vests- super calming for the sensory system when so much is happening! Side note- they have also been super great with my highly sensitive toddler! 10/10 recommend!

The best dental experience I’ve ever had. After moving to ATX 6 months ago, finding trustworthy care was a challenge – but ATX Family Dental came highly recommended and more than delivered. From the advanced technology to the warm, well-designed space, everything felt like the gold standard of modern dentistry. Dr. Adams and his team provide outstanding care from start to finish, so their near-perfect reviews come as no surprise. Looking forward to my next visit in 6 months!

They are super communicative and want to make you feel as comfortable as possible going to the dentist. Scheduling has always been a breeze and they are always on time with appointments. I’d recommend them to anyone in Austin!

So far I’ve had a great experience at ATX Family Dental, which is saying a lot because I normally get incredibly anxious about going to the dentist. At my first cleaning, my hygienist (I’m so sorry I don’t remember your name!) made me feel really at ease, despite some not so great news, albeit expected. I met Dr. Adam at this visit and he explained his plan very thoroughly and KINDLY.
At my next and most recent visit, I had three (apparently difficult) fillings done. Dr. Adam took his time to make sure I was comfortable and couldn’t feel any of the procedure. His assistant (also don’t remember your name and I’m so sorry about that!) was also incredibly kind and helped me calm down prior to starting the appointment. I left feeling numb, as expected, but also feeling much better about going to the dentist. To my surprise, Dr. Adam even checked on me that evening to make sure everything felt alright after the numbness wore off!
TLDR: if you’re anxious about dental visits like I am, I highly recommend visiting Dr. Adam. He and his staff are so kind and really try their best to put you at ease.

I have been a patient with ATX Family Dental for over 3 years and have had an exceptional experience with them. The hygienists and front desk staff are consistently friendly, professional, and efficient. My appointments always start on time. I appreciate the wellness plan as an option for those without dental insurance to understand exactly how much cleanings will cost each year.
Dr. Ida in particular is fantastic. She has replaced several old fillings for me and always goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and never in pain, in a way I have never experienced at a dentist before, even checking in via text after my appointments to make sure everything still feels okay.
The new office is beautiful!

This dental office has been an incredible relief to find since moving back to Austin. I’ve had poor experiences at the dentist before that have left me in physical and financial pain, but ATX Family Dental staff made sure I was comfortable during my entire appointment and communicated very clearly what payment I would be responsible for after insurance, but also helped recommend certain procedures that could be done later so I wouldn’t break the bank in one day.
I’m extremely anxious and self conscious about the dentist, but this is the first time I’ve walked out of a dentist feeling confident. Couldn’t suggest this place more.

Outstanding experience from start to finish!
I decided to try Toothbar after my dentist of over 30 years retired—and I’m so glad I did. The technology and level of service here are truly top-notch. Mars and Tess were not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate, making the whole visit comfortable and stress-free. Dr. Jacobsen has a calm and patient demeanor, and she took the time to thoroughly answer all my questions. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend Toothbar to anyone looking for exceptional dental care.

I got my teeth fixed up by them back in 2021. Leading up to when they were fixed and during, great service! Not so much after… They did not give me my retainer for my teeth after sizing and dismissed my concerns over a swelling spot on my gum from needle injections. I am writing this review today because these past 4 years, that injection site has continued to be an issue, front and center on my smile. Today, it is incredibly painful and swollen and I just want the team to know that I asked for help and have been suffering for many years since. I paid good money for good service and the follow through was not there.

Toothbar has always been great. From the people at the front desk, to the hygienists, to the dentists; everyone has always been AMAZING.
My dentist, Dr. Bakke has always had my best interests in mind when discussing my treatment plan. So grateful for her.
Additionally, I had the absolute BEST experience today when I was lucky enough to have Nikki as my hygienist. (Sorry if I misspelled her name).
Nikki is truly an AMBASSADOR for oral health and education. I can’t say enough good things about her!
She listens to your needs, is patient, and kind. She educates you about your oral health and offers recommendations to fit your needs. Nikki was attentive and her work was gentle yet extremely thorough. It was amazing how clean my teeth felt!!
She truly cares about your experience and is a GEM of an addition to the Toothbar team.
TOOTHBAR IS THE BEST IN AUSTIN!!
Thank you for everything; I will never again test out another dentist while in Austin.

Unfortunately, my experience with this office was disappointing, not because of the dental care itself, but because of the way the practice has been managed recently. The front office seems disorganized, leading to scheduling issues and long wait times. More concerning, the employees appear overworked and undervalued, which affects the overall atmosphere of the clinic. A supportive and well-managed workplace benefits both the staff and the patients, and sadly, this office lacks that level of care. I truly hope they make improvements to support their team, as it would enhance the experience for everyone.

I visited the Tooth Bar today for the first time today. The experience was exceptional! Unfortunately I have had numerous dental experiences throughout my life – today was by far my best dental experience. Front the customer service oriented front desk team, to the stellar hygienist to my dentist, Dr. Bakke – the experience was stellar. I had an extremely thorough initial exam and left with a well thought out plan to resolve my dental concerns that incorporated my preferences.
Did I mention the office is gorgeous!
Thanks,

Preventative Dental Care
A cornerstone of good oral health is preventative dental care. Dentists in Austin provide regular check-ups, cleanings, and examinations to identify and address potential problems early on. These procedures contribute significantly to maintaining long-term oral health and can prevent more invasive treatments later.
Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing damaged or decayed teeth. This includes procedures like fillings, crowns, bridges, and inlays/onlays, designed to restore the function and aesthetics of a tooth that has been compromised by decay or injury.
Cosmetic Dentistry
For individuals seeking to enhance the appearance of their smile, cosmetic dentistry provides a wide range of solutions. This encompasses teeth whitening, veneers, bonding, and smile makeovers, aiming to create a more confident and beautiful smile.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics addresses misaligned teeth and jaw issues. Dentists in Austin often work with braces and clear aligners to straighten teeth and improve bite function, leading to a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing smile.
Periodontal Care
Periodontal care deals with the health of gums and supporting bone. This involves treatments for gum disease (gingivitis and periodontitis), including deep cleanings (scaling and root planing) and surgical procedures in more advanced cases.
Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)
Endodontics, commonly known as root canal therapy, addresses issues within the tooth's pulp. When infection or inflammation affects the pulp, root canal treatment is performed to remove the damaged tissue, clean the canal, and seal it to prevent further infection.
Dental Implants
Dental implants offer a permanent solution for missing teeth. These surgically placed posts act as artificial tooth roots, providing stable support for replacement teeth and restoring function and aesthetics in the affected area.
Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentistry focuses on the oral health needs of children. Dentists specializing in this area provide gentle and age-appropriate care, including preventative care, early intervention for dental issues, and education for children and their parents on maintaining good oral hygiene habits.
Frequently Asked Questions about Dentists in Austin
What types of dental services are typically offered by dentists in Austin?
Dentists in Austin offer a comprehensive range of dental services, including routine check-ups and cleanings, fillings for cavities, root canals for infected teeth, crowns and bridges to restore damaged teeth, dentures for tooth replacement, teeth whitening for cosmetic improvement, and orthodontic treatments like braces or Invisalign.
How do I choose a dentist in Austin that's right for me?
Selecting the right dentist is crucial. Consider factors like their specialization (some dentists focus on specific areas like pediatric dentistry or cosmetic dentistry), their experience, their location and hours, and patient reviews. It’s also important to assess their communication style and whether you feel comfortable with them.
What is the difference between a general dentist and a specialist?
A general dentist provides a broad range of preventative and restorative dental care. Specialists, on the other hand, have undergone additional training in a specific area, such as periodontics (gum disease), endodontics (root canal therapy), oral surgery, or pediatric dentistry. For complex issues, a referral to a specialist might be necessary.
What is the cost of a routine dental check-up and cleaning in Austin?
The cost of a routine dental check-up and cleaning in Austin can vary, but typically ranges from $100 to $250. This price can be influenced by factors such as the dentist’s experience, the complexity of the cleaning, and whether or not insurance coverage applies. Always inquire about pricing upfront to avoid surprises.
Do most dentists in Austin accept dental insurance?
Most dentists in Austin accept a variety of dental insurance plans. However, it’s essential to verify acceptance with the specific dental office before scheduling an appointment. Even if a dentist accepts your insurance, there may be limitations or coverage restrictions that you should be aware of.
What should I expect during my first appointment with a new dentist?
During your first appointment, the dentist will typically conduct a comprehensive oral examination, which may include X-rays, a visual inspection of your teeth and gums, and a review of your medical history. They will also discuss your dental goals and address any concerns you may have.
What are some signs that I need to see a dentist soon?
Several signs indicate it’s time to see a dentist. These include tooth pain, gum bleeding, sensitivity to hot or cold, bad breath, swollen gums, and loose teeth. Ignoring these signs can lead to more serious dental problems.
How can I maintain good oral hygiene between dental visits?
Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential. This includes brushing your teeth twice a day for two minutes each time, flossing daily, using a fluoride toothpaste, and using a mouthwash. Avoiding sugary drinks and foods is also crucial.
What is the difference between preventative, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry?
Preventative dentistry focuses on preventing dental problems, such as cleanings and fluoride treatments. Restorative dentistry deals with repairing damaged teeth, like fillings and crowns. Cosmetic dentistry focuses on improving the appearance of teeth, such as whitening and veneers. These categories often overlap.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
In the event of a dental emergency, such as a knocked-out tooth, severe pain, or uncontrolled bleeding, it's crucial to seek immediate dental care. Many dentists offer emergency appointments, or you can visit a dental emergency clinic. Prompt action can often save a tooth and minimize discomfort.
