Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lakeline offers a unique moviegoing experience centered around a full-service dining setup. The option for bottomless popcorn and the convenience of having food and drinks delivered to your seat are definite highlights. It’s a pleasant change from traditional theaters, catering to those who appreciate a bit more comfort and indulgence while enjoying a film.
While the concept is appealing, understanding their policies regarding late arrivals is crucial. A rigid adherence to rules, even in a dine-in environment where movement is inherent, might frustrate some patrons. The potential for a truly enjoyable outing relies on being aware of those guidelines, ensuring a smooth and well-considered visit for all seeking a more relaxed cinematic experience with delicious food.

My wife and I got a $50 giftcard. For two tickets, two meals, and two drinks (soda) our total was about $85. Soda is $7 EACH. Also, there is a mandatory 18% service fee. Guess they can’t afford to pay the staff enough? Even though they charge $7 for a soda and $16 for a basic burger?
We will never go back to any Alamo theatre again. Even if given a giftcard it is just not worth it.
Can’t believe it is over $15 for two sodas after fees and taxes lol.

Update: so fun to see an early screening of How to Train a Dragon. The free posters were a nice touch. I ordered frames to preserve them and showcase them per my son’s request. Epic moment for them. One issue with being double billed but we are confident the staff will fix it. I’ll update this if not.
Love that the popcorn seems air popped and the clarified butter is such a gift to someone allergic to dairy proteins. Thank you!
Previous Review: Enjoyed the ambiance of the Alamo Drafthouse. Full service with food and drinks. The bottomless popcorn is amazing with clarified butter and salt. Thank you Prince and other staff that made our evening seamless and enjoyable.

Today we had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at your theater. I have been living in this country for 15 years, and during all this time we have always encountered excellent customer service everywhere—restaurants, shops, cafeterias, and movie theaters. Unfortunately, today was completely different.
I brought my 11-year-old son to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We have been watching the entire series, one movie each weekend, and he was so excited about this one. Unfortunately, due to unexpected car trouble, we arrived about 20 minutes late. I completely understand that this was partly our fault, and I apologized at the reception.
However, this is a dine-in theater, where throughout the entire movie people are constantly moving around—servers bringing food, guests going to the restroom, plates being cleared. Entering at 12:20 instead of 12:00, in seats located at the aisle edge, would not have disturbed anyone. I explained this, but the staff simply told me, “It’s the policy,” and refused to let us in.
As a result, we lost our tickets (which were not cheap compared to other theaters), our lunch, and most importantly, the special experience I had promised my son. We were left extremely disappointed and upset.
I kindly request a full refund for the tickets, and I hope you will reconsider how such situations are handled in the future. This kind of rigid response, without any flexibility or understanding, is not the standard of customer service we have come to expect in this country. We will not be returning, and I cannot recommend your theater to others.

This theater is great, but they’ve been omitting big releases like The Long Walk
Many times, movies that should be given priority are instead shown in South Lamar and Mueller. Might not mean much, but I pay my subscription to support many films to be on the big screen. And it’s unfortunate Lakeline has constantly not shown high profile films more than usual. May cancel if they continue removing options

Alamo drafthouse never fails. Every location offers a unique environment, and watch movies has always been amazing. Definitely taking advantage of $29.99 membership plan which I encourage everyone to get!

Love the Alamo Draft house. My son and I watched the noon showing of The Conjuring:Last Rites @ the Lakeline location theater/screen 7 on Sept 6th. Movie was awesome btw. I chose noon because I purchased the tickets several days ahead and they had the most open seats available for purchase. We sat on row 6 which gave us a perfect view! The burgers we ordered were restaurant quality to our surprise, I was expecting ok burgers. The only thing that I found that needs improvement were the seats. They didn’t rock, recline or move in anyway. My son said that other theaters in that location had really comfortable seating. Ill be back again and hope they upgrade the seats but until then I’ll check which theater a movie is being shown in first.

Went to see demon slayer and I loved it but didn’t feel comfortable about the ladies standing outside the restroom asking people if they voted or registered to vote, which is personal in a place kids and family want to watch movies and get away from politics and just didnt feel right. Especially after what happened recently, I dont want my kids to think about that stuff.
Respectfully we came to enjoy an anime movie only
We also noticed no theme or special items
To honor the movie to put people in the mood, which made the experience less amazing, We spoke for days prior about how we couldn’t wait to see the themes of drinks/food and it was just original menu.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema South Lamar offers a truly unique entertainment experience. The ability to order food and drinks directly from your seat elevates moviegoing beyond the usual – it’s a relaxing and convenient way to enjoy a film. The atmosphere feels elevated, like attending a special event, and the commitment to audience respect during screenings creates a much more immersive experience than standard cinemas.
The cinema distinguishes itself through its carefully curated selection of films and the overall presentation. Details matter here, from the comfortable seating to the thoughtfully designed space. It is more than just a place to watch a movie; it’s a destination for those seeking a different kind of entertainment with a focus on elevated customer service.

Never been to a movie theater that had full in-theater service before! It was so cool being able to order a beer and watch a movie. It’s all mediocre food, and mostly frozen & fried food, but it’s cool to be able to get all types of food inside the movies as well! I will definitely be back, as they offer advance screenings on films, and they seem to take being quiet and watching the movie seriously as opposed to other major brand theaters.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema South Lamar – The Gold Standard of Movie Theaters
This is how a movie theater should be. Walked up at 7 PM and somehow scored the last two tickets to the new Superman—place was totally sold out, and the energy was electric. Fans in costume, a crowd that cares, and an atmosphere that felt more like an event than just a screening. I’ll admit it—I teared up a little.
From the ridiculously comfortable seats (the best I’ve ever experienced) to the food and drinks delivered right to you—it’s flawless. Every bite, every sip, perfectly timed. And the decor? On another level. The Shining-themed hallway alone deserves a standing ovation.
Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar isn’t just a theater—it’s an experience. After this, I don’t know how I’ll ever go back to a regular movie theater again.

I recently had a troubling experience at the Alamo Drafthouse’s Highball Bar in Austin, Texas. I attended a drag show and ordered a Pimm’s Cup, which was listed on the menu for $13. When the check arrived, the drink total was $16 and some change.
The bartender then turned the point-of-sale system toward me to enter a tip. I added a $3 tip, though I immediately noticed that the drink price was higher than the menu listed. I intended to question it once the bartender was available.
When I asked for clarification, I was told that there is now an 18% service charge automatically added to all bills. The bartender explained that the menu had not yet been updated to reflect this change. He then produced a small information slip from behind the bar, which noted the 18% service charge and “no tip needed” language, before quickly putting it back out of sight. This notice was not posted publicly or made visible to customers prior to ordering.
In practice, this means that customers are not informed of the mandatory service fee until after they are charged. In my case, I unknowingly tipped an additional $3 on top of the hidden 18% fee. I believe this practice is misleading and potentially unlawful, as prices displayed on menus should accurately reflect the final cost of goods and services. Any mandatory fees should be disclosed clearly before a customer makes a purchase.
I’ve contacted the BBB and Texas Attorney General about this malpractice

This place feels like home. I recently moved to Austin and do on occasion like to enjoy catching a film in the full theatre experience. I’m used to visiting Star Cinema in Houston and have tried Alamo drafthouse once before, but the South Lamar location…. BEYOND courteous and hospitable. There was one guest ahead of me and a friend when we walked in, and the host managing ticket sales was amazingly professional and kind to that guest as well as our party.
Within seconds of us sitting we noticed another staff member entering the theatre to greet us and get us situated. Nathan gave us a run down on the menu and even highlighted some of the regular faves. Unfortunately we had already had dinner before arriving, however most all of the menu sounds absolutely appetizing. Film experience was top notch, solid quality with the best audio. Nathan also checked on us and the other movie goers periodically. That dude means business.
I’ve found my new movie night home!

First of they charge you a $5 service fee just to buy your tickets online even though it’s more convenient for them too. Additionally there is an automatic gratuity. Which is fine. But then they ask you to leave more money for your servers for those reasons alone one star.

We visited Alamo Cinema and was thoroughly impressed with the cozy atmosphere. The seating is comfortable, and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxing movie night. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience.
However, I must express my disappointment with the food, particularly the burgers. Unfortunately, they were served raw and had an unpleasant smell. This significantly detracted from an otherwise enjoyable visit. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality of their food offerings.
Despite the issue with the burgers, the cinema itself is fantastic, and I would still recommend it for the great atmosphere and movie-watching experience, but not the food at all.

I LOVE Alamo Drafthouse and have been a loyal customer for years. I usually go to the Slaughter location but this time I went to S Lamar. We arrived early and expected to be greeted as usual but we never were. I waited until the movie started then got up to ask what’s going on. I wasn’t given any explanation just “sorry I’ll be right there”. Customer service was fine no one was rude but I have never had such a horrible experience. Our food was late, our check was wrong, and we had to wait at least 30 min after the movie ended for a manager to come help.

This is one of our favorite Alamo Drafthouse locations in Austin. They have complementary parking in the parking garage next to it, you just have to make sure to scan the QR code near the kitchen before you exit. The theaters are really nice here since it’s a newer location. The seats are very comfortable as well. Service is always good and what you expect at an Alamo Drafthouse. We always get a Coke Zero and a popcorn minimum and every now and then we’ll splurge on an entree or a shake if we’re in the mood. I love coming early (as in, when the doors open) because Alamo Drafthouses always curate pre show content that’s relevant to the movie you’re about to watch and it’s always so fun to see what clips they include. For example, for the Minecraft Movie, they showed lots of clips related to Minecraft from old YouTube videos and random clips of Jack Black since he was starring in the movie.
Random tangent but, I also love the bathroom set up here. I think all bathrooms should be like this. Basically, it’s an open room and all the stalls are fully enclosed i.e., no gaps at the top nor bottom of the door. So when you’re in the bathroom stall, you have complete privacy because each stall is its own mini private room with a toilet and vent inside. Then in the open space they have mirrors and one long basin with multiple sinks spread out to wash your hands with paper towel dispensers on either end. There’s even one room that’s just urinals for guys who don’t need a whole toilet. And there’s also a larger private stall too that’d I’d consider to be family size. I just think this set up is so much more efficient than having separate Men’s and Women’s restrooms and everyone gets their own private room to do their business. Because of the efficiency, I feel like I’ve never had to wait for a stall to open up because there’s always enough to accommodate everyone. Which is amazing because it’s awful when you have to deal with the all too common scenario of the Men’s restroom not having a line at all while the Women’s restroom has an excruciatingly long line.

Came here to watch Superman showed up right on time, very easy to navigate movie theater. Person at the front was very nice and directed us towards the theater. Seats are reclinable and there are waiters who bring your option of food to you. This theater is in a very nice part of town so if you are still hungry there are many restaurant options around for any time of the day. Overall is in a very good location and I recommend to anyone who wants to see a movie in mueller and Austin in general.

The movie theatre and seats overall felt clean and our server was pleasant, however the tray table my seat was at was incredible sticky.
The seats don’t “recline” you can slightly push your legs up to maybe a 15 degree difference but it actually puts your body in a worse position. (airline seats recline further).
The food felt incredibly greasy and the butter popcorn made my mouth feel like it was lined with a faux butter grease.
Also there is an automatic 18% service charge added but “feel free to tip your server”
**Edits after response- The 18% is clearly identified when you purchase your tickets and at the showing. (No problem there!) However, it doesn’t state if this goes to your server. I’m assuming they do this because people don’t tip (I was a server). I am one to always give a tip b/c I worked in hospitality but I wanted others to know.
Also, for the seats, none of our seats went further than about 15 degrees forward with our legs and the back didn’t feel like it move at all. (If so, it was less than even in an airline).
I raised my score from 3 to 4 stars based on the company ‘s. quick response to my comment.

Although we arrived 10 minutes before the previews, no one greeted us until after the movie started (about 25 minutes later). The theater was extremely hot and we had a wait 30 minutes for the drinks ti keep us cool. Food was not horrible but part of order was incorrect. Theater was clearly understaffed. Poor service and meh food seems to be standard for this location. All other Austin locations are much better.

I’ve been going to Alamo for movies for 15+ yrs. But since Covid my in theatre attendance has reduced considerably.
When I recently went to see Weapons I was shocked to see how reduced the menu has become. And the quality of the food diminished.
And not only that one of our entrées didn’t show up until 20 minutes before the end of the movie, despite ordering before the movie even started. I had to order drink refills twice using the red lights before actually getting them. Even then, it took 20 minutes to get them.
Unfortunately, I think home viewing has become my preferred movie watching experience.
Adding a star because I still believe in Alamo, and their strict rules on talking and phones.

If you want to watch a movie & dine in a relaxing environment this is the place for you. The seats are comfortable and are adjustable to lean back and prop your feet up. You can order popcorn, drinks, and food while watching a movie without getting up. A server waitress will check on you for orders you write on paper and will deliver your order. The theater and sound system is amazing. A great way to enjoy a movie for sure! They have a parking garage in the back that you can get validated for free parking.

The movie was amazing, the food was delicious as always, but the service was honestly the worst I have had in all of the years (at least 15) I’ve been going. Trust that I know everyone has “those days” but this was next level bad. Took a solid 10 minutes (maybe more) to greet us, and when she did had an awful attitude. We were lacking condiments with the meals and she was visibly annoyed when we put up any request cards.
I will give credit to her co-workers, all the food runners and even the guy who closed us out (NOT our server) were friendly and attentive.
We will be back, but just hope we never see her again.

The combination of a comfortable, reclining seating and the ability to order food and drinks directly to your seat makes for a convenient and enjoyable evening. It’s a great option for families or anyone seeking a more relaxed and upscale cinema environment. The focus on customer convenience and a personalized feel sets it apart.
While the theater provides a wonderful cinematic offering, it’s the service that leaves a lasting impression. The staff consistently demonstrate a commitment to ensuring guests are well taken care of.
5/5 stelle!” Adatto per famiglie r persone con disabilità

I’ve been coming to this theater for years, but unfortunately, the experience isn’t what it used to be. I ordered the classic burger with fries and requested it be lettuce-wrapped instead of with a bun. When it arrived, it was simply the patty and lettuce—no tomato, onions, or other usual toppings. Additionally, I had to ask several times before finally receiving a refill on my mango tea. Hoping to see improvements in service and attention to detail soon.

Cinépolis theaters I feel like have always given the best service without feeling too over the top
They still feel somewhat layed back and chill about everything and care about their costumers and community rather then just being a big company just hogging money
Their food is also amazing (I’m fully vegan and have a few different food allergies like tomato being a main one so I can’t eat too much but I really really like their salads and the rest of my family and girlfriend seam to really really enjoy the food
Drinks are also bottomless which is always a plus ;P
With that said I feel like there aren’t many other theaters who would just let a random local teen donate* a couple hundred dollar plush to put on display just for the heck of it
*(not actually donating it to them or do they own it in anyway they are just borrowing it for a month or two while the movie is in showing)
-photos are below of what I’m talking about

I really enjoy this movie theater and it’s the only one I go to for films. The reclining chairs are very comfortable and easy to adjust, and the staff is always friendly. The bartenders also make great drinks, which adds to the overall experience. That said, I can only give it three stars because the food quality has declined. Before COVID, the menu was excellent—fresh ingredients, great options, and fair prices. Now, the menu is larger, the prices are higher, and unfortunately, the food doesn’t taste as fresh. I’m not sure if there was a change in the kitchen, but I wish they would return to the old menu and standards. Overall, I still recommend this theater for the comfort, service, and drinks. Just plan to eat before you go, and maybe grab an appetizer or snack if you get hungry.

Our family’s favorite for a movie night out. The food is consistently fantastic, making it more than just a theater – it’s a dining experience. The staff also deserves a special mention for their excellent service. My main suggestion for improvement would be to address the condition of some of the seats; a refresh would significantly enhance comfort and the overall premium feel of the venue. We’ll still be back, but an update to the seating would make it truly perfect.

Small but clean. All you can eat popcorn for $10, all you can drink soft drinks for $10. $11 dollars per ticket(but prices might differ because we went in the afternoon, so night tickets might be more)
I ordered pink lemonade which was really good. They have brown leather recliners with little tables with a built in cup holder. The staff was nice. Plenty of parking.

I had such a great time at Moviehouse & Eatery! The seats were super comfy, the service was fast and friendly, and the whole place was really clean.
But what really surprised me the most was the pepperoni pizza — seriously, I don’t know how there aren’t more reviews about how incredible it is. Crispy edges, just the right amount of cheese and spice — way better than I expected from a movie theater!

Theater design is pretty cool. I am an Alamo Pass holder, but may not continue with this movie pass over the AMC A-List pass after this visit. I arrived 30 minutes early, sat at the bar and decided to get a drink. I finished it and the bartender kept walking around me and my empty glass until it was time for me to take my theater seat (30 minutes later). Never offered me another drink, nor any kind of conversation all the while it looked like he was visiting other patrons, offering more drinks, and asking questions about their day and movie interests. Seems like he was especially attentive to the beautiful blond woman that was in the seat next to me. As for the movie and movie experience, it’s the only reason I’m leaving 3 stars. If this were an actual bar, it would be a 1 star review. I do like visiting the different Alamos in Austin and this one is now probably my least favorite.

Say what you want about the changes Alamo has gone through since Covid, it is still the best option if you actually intend on enjoying your movie. Sure, other chains are cheaper, but they are cheaper for a reason. The people are rude and talk throughout, babies and kids or teens are trying to go viral on TikTok ruining your experience. You do not have to worry about that at Alamo, and I have never had a bad experience here. The food is always good and the service is great. This is a place to enjoy movies and I love it!

We really enjoy our visits to the Alamo Drafthouse. Our family has monthly passes so we can see all the new movies for a single monthly cost, about the price of a single movie.
The food and drinks are great, but can get pricey if trying to feed an entire family on each visit. We tend to stick to a drink and take advantage of their bottomless popcorn. When you’re done with the bowl of popcorn, they will bring you another. They will even bring extra bowls to make it easier for the family to share.

My first time visiting here. What a place!!!!!!!
You write down what you want to eat on paper . Press your button and they come take it paper away . Then bring your food/drink you ordered. The film was brilliant could have watched it again back to back.
The food was amazing & the service was 10/10 . I’ll be returning to watch another film and having lunch again.

I have to commend the team here at this Alamo Drafthouse. What could have been a bad night for me the manager Bridgett turned around. I went to go see highest to lowest. Ive had a bad experience at another Alamo Drafthouse before so i came in and thought i was being ignored. I asked to speak to a manager Bridgett came to my seat she not only showed attention to detail to my complaint and concern but she also made me understand that it was no fault of anyone’s and she assured me there was no prejudice or ill intent. She turned my night around and for that inam thankful and will continue to support this Alamo and movie cinema..movie was great night was great and thank you Bridgette I truly appreciate you terrific manager.

Watched Weapons here and it was a great experience thanks to the kind and available staff.
We tried the dill pickle popcorn but it was super flavored. I can see why it’s popular but it just wasn’t for us. We were able to swap to buttered without any additional cost!

My first time going to Alamo Drafthouse and I was not disappointed. The recliners were comfortable and the service was good. Me and my girlfriend got some drinks, the loaded fries which were great and a 10″ pizza to share. The food and drinks were good but a little expensive given the size but overall it was a good experience.

We were highly disappointed that the Mission Impossible Special Menu items were not available due to low staffing. We were very excited to try out the specials and was met with great disappointment when we were told the menu was unavailable at our 11:15 am show time.
Our server, Alex, provided a great dining and movie experience! She provided us other dining options and that proved to be delicious. (5/5 stars for Alex)
The rating is low on purpose to get the attention of decision makers to get more staff for this location.

Regal Westgate hosted the Wednesday Premier for audience feedback. It was a great event with popcorn boxes themed to Wednesday. The staff were very nice. The theater itself has a fun train station vibe with high ceilings. The seats were comfy and easy to put into the recline position. I’d definitely go back there.

I watched a movie at AMC today and my usual preferred theatre is Regal Westgate. There is stark difference between the two. AMC Theatre’s are absolutely disgusting. Their soda machines are dirty, the pop corn is stale, the bathrooms smelled absolutely disgusting.
However Regal Westgate is arguably immaculate. I go there every other week and have never had a bad experience. Their Manager is a delight and she clearly cares deeply about the facility she runs. The food is always fresh, the theatre is always clean (especially the bathroom). Their staff is polite and there are always plenty of employees to help you. It’s the movie going experience you remember having as a child.

I arrived around 8pm on a Monday evening (New Years) with my son and sister to see The Color Purple. We were visiting from out of state I bought our tickets via the Regal app.
On arrival, they have the ticket window but it was closed. Inside, we were greeted promptly and told which theater to go to. We stoped to the concession stand to get popcorn and drink. The employee was very helpful and friendly.
There is a small “arcade” area to the right. The restrooms were available prior to individual theaters. The men’s restroom was clean, no complaints.
We were in theater 8 and the layout was much different than in accustomed to. You can see the screen from the entrance. I assume it was one of the smaller theaters. The seats reclined and there was a headrest. It was comfy. The cupholders are large enough for the cups and the armrest is wide enough to hold a large tub of popcorn. The popcorn, though, was mediocre. It was warm-ish and didn’t taste very fresh. It was a Monday, so I doubt they were busy to constantly have fresh popcorn.
Overall, it was a good experience. No major complaints.

Thankful that the lights are dimmed everywhere in there as this place is absolutely falling apart. Carpet and walls are ripped off, walls are bare in a lot of places, where you can literally just see the drywall and its holes.
I don’t think the theater was cleaned up before we sat down tonight. Lots of trash on our seats and floor. Pretty disappointing.

Searched around south Austin to find the perfect seats to see Jurassic Park and bought two before anyone had even bought seats online. We get there and a bunch of kids are in our seats with blankets and snacks (like 7 kids) and the moms sitting behind them. They saw us checking and I walked over to look at the numbers and they just ignored me. We sat at the end but knew we were now probably in someone else’s seat. When we took it up with mgmt, they said let the family stay and gave us new seats, which funnily enough were right next to the moms who took ours. Mgmt didn’t offer anything on top of just moving us. Cherry on top was a couple of things: my new seat was literally broken and the kids talked through the whole thing. The parents had to shush them several times and they kept getting up to check on the kids and give them more snacks etc. That was very distracting.
Super disappointing experience especially when I had been waiting so long to see this and found the perfect seats way ahead of time.
I understand it’s not the kids fault and I feel like a lame Karen for this review but I’m just so tired of entitled parents. Do better. Teach your kids better. Just because you have kids, doesn’t mean you are entitled to seats people have paid for in advance. Go to a different theatre or a different showtime next time seats are full for your 15 group party. Plan ahead!
Disappointed in the parents but also in mgmt for doing literally nothing. Also yall might want to fix seat 8 or 9 in row E, theatre 1.
Go to Moviehouse & Eatery, that’s where I should have gone, they never disappoint!

Came here on a Spring Break Tuesday and to my pleasant surprise if you are a Regal Crown Club member you get to utilize Regal Value Tuesdays.
The staff member selling the popcorn was kind enough to tell me this and patient enough to let me sign up on the app right then and there. Popcorn was half off and discounted tickets – how can you beat that?!
The staff was so kind, the movie theater was clean. The leather seats seemed new and reclined quite a bit WITH leg elevation – nice to accommodate any angle of preference lol. The temperature was perfect and the volume and size of movie projection was right on.
For sure an enjoyable experience to write home about – with an added bonus of a Value Day deal.

I’ve been going here for years, but my most recent visit was the final nail in the coffin of why I’ll never be back. After going to other theaters such as Evo or Amc, it is really evident this regal location has out of date systems. For one, this theater has no IMAX or Dolby cinema theaters. The screens here are very bad quality and don’t really do most of the films justice in the way thet were intended to be viewed. Cleary not a HD or 4K display. The sound is a joke compared to the other theaters I listed especially EVO. The speakers have no bass and don’t add anything you think you’d expect going to a movie theater. Definitely don’t have dolby atmos sound or anything close to that in each theater. Went to go watch Jurassic World Rebirth this past week, and could not hear a lot of dialogue, and the movie just did not have that earth shattering sound experienced at EVO or AMC. The restrooms at this location are always dirty, especially the mens. And even though it is summer, the theaters are always warm and stuffy. Regardless of being the closest theater to me, I would rather drive out to kyle or to the mall to view a movie in a better theater. I really hope changes are made to this location, as I said I grew up watching movies here and would like to continue doing so, but only if these issues are resolved or at least explained.

Galaxy Theatres Austin provides a pleasant moviegoing experience. The seating is a significant upgrade, featuring comfortable, reclining chairs with individual trays – a real treat for enjoying a film. The selection of concessions, including alcoholic beverages, adds to the overall appeal, catering to a wider range of preferences. Comfort and accessibility are evident in the design.
The theater maintains a well-kept and clean environment, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction. While a slightly older establishment, it’s clearly been updated to provide a modern feel. The attentive staff and availability of descriptive audio services highlight their dedication to creating an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Service and cleanliness are definitely strong points.

We came for the Austin Film Fest to watch “Finding Solace” by Maurice Moore, Mo.tivate Pictures. This is an older theatre, but well kept and clean. Employees were nice, and restrooms were clean. We would visit again if in the area.

Wow! Love this place! Super comfortable seats that recline and have trays with cup holders. D-Box seating also. Good selection of beer and wine at the concession stand. My visually impaired friend was able to get descriptive service headphones. Some comfy tables, early/special shows.

A pretty-nice, older-style theater. They do have improved recliner-style seats and a good beer selection. Best of all, they show $5 Flashback movies and I’ve seen some great classics on the big screen because of it.

I had a fantastic movie experience at Regal Gateway watching Face Off 8: Embrace of Light. The picture and sound quality were amazing, every action scene felt larger than life. The seats were comfortable, the theater was clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient at the concession stand.

Been to this theatre multiple times and it’s overall a good theatre but today they allowed a man in there with a backpack. They didn’t check my purse so I know they didn’t check his and it made the overall experience so sinister that ultimately when he started doing peculiar stuff I had to leave cause I didn’t want to risk it. I don’t know where we went wrong but in todays climate I just feel like we need to still be doing those checks. There is no reason he should have been allowed in with a full backpack. Anyway The Long Walk was good for all 1 hour I watched it. Restroom was okay.

We’ve been here for a couple films over the last couple years. While the prices are admittedly higher than I remember or like, the actual experience is pleasant. The popcorn and drinks were good quality, the imax screenings are good, the seats are clean between showings, and the bathrooms are roomy and clean. Also, my fiance accidentally left his wallet in the seat because it fell out of his pocket. We couldn’t figure out where he dropped it, but the kind folks over at Regal took the time to ship it back to us. Thank you so much y’all, we know you didn’t have to do that and the fact that you did really helped us out.

Regal Gateway is a clean and comfortable theater with great sound and picture quality. The 4DX experience is amazing—motion seats, wind, and scent effects really bring the movie to life! The reclining seats in regular screens are also super comfy. Staff is friendly, and everything runs smoothly from tickets to concessions. A great spot for movie lovers looking for something extra!

Renovation is happening. I was here last year for Little Mermaid, and remembered the screen was dusty and speakers were simply TOO LOUD, like not a good sound mix loud, like no sound sensitivity just LOUD, a bit nerve wrecking and hurts my ears. Today I saw Demon Slayer Infinity Castle, seats are new and spacious, screen looks new, still too loud but I hope the business lasts. I hesitated if I should give it a 3 or 4 star, I’ll give it a 4, hope it fixes the sounds mix in the future.

I hadn’t been to Regal Gateway in about five years. It might actually be my favorite theater in Austin now. The seats are incredibly comfortable and recline farther than any others I’ve sat in at a theater. They go dangerously far back. You may fall asleep. The theater feels clean, updated, and well-maintained. If you gave up on this place a while ago, it’s worth checking out again.
If I’m nitpicking, the concession area is a bit cluttered now with things like T-shirts, statues, and random merch that feels more like a flea market than a theater lobby. If they want to keep selling that stuff, it might make more sense to carve out a proper mini store, and have way more options (more shirts etc), which would be cool. Maybe removing some arcade games could help open up some space for that.

Regal Cinema is a classic theater with a few modern twists. The seats show their age with some wear and are pretty close together. This setup makes longer films a bit of a squeeze, especially compared to the spacious seating at places like Alamo, where you have more room to stretch out. The compact layout also makes it tricky to slip out for extra snacks without a bit of a climb over your neighbors.
One of the highlights is the unlimited movie plan for about $20 a month, which feels like a hidden gem. Considering the price of an IMAX ticket, this deal is hard to beat for anyone who loves catching multiple films a month.
Be prepared for a bit of a wait with the movie start times. My screening kicked off with 22 minutes of ads and previews, which was a bit of a surprise compared to ad-free experiences elsewhere. The audio and visual quality are solid, nothing groundbreaking, but they get the job done for a satisfactory movie experience.
Finding Regal Cinema is an adventure in itself, hidden behind a strip mall. It’s a bit unexpected but adds to the character of the place. The theater’s attempt at assigned seating doesn’t always pan out, as enforcement is lax, leading to a bit of a scramble and some uncomfortable close encounters with neighboring movie-goers during my visit.
On the bright side, the staff are welcoming, and the concession stand is well-stocked, rounding out the experience with a friendly touch. Overall, Regal Cinema lands at about a 3.5-star experience for me, but I’m nudging it up to four stars because of the great value provided by the unlimited viewing plan and the overall cozy vibe, despite the snug seating and the initial hunt to find the place.

Cinemark Southpark Meadows offers a generally pleasant moviegoing experience. The screen quality is consistently good, and the theater provides a convenient location for many. While cleanliness can sometimes be an issue based on reported experiences, the staff typically strive to provide a friendly and helpful atmosphere. The sound system usually delivers an immersive experience.
The availability of different seating options, including D-Box, adds to the variety, although pre-purchase verification of features is advised. Overall, it’s a reasonable choice for a standard movie outing, providing a reliable and accessible entertainment venue. Continued attention to cleanliness standards would further enhance the experience.

I had a wonderful experience at this movie theater! The place was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy the movie. The sound and picture quality were excellent, and the seating was very comfortable.

Usually really enjoy this theatre. Very disappointed today though. Went to see the 11:20 showing of the Long Walk with my wife and son. When we walked into our theatre and turned the corner to get to our seats there was a trash can, cleaning supplies and brooms blocking the walk way. No problem. The team is still cleaning I guess. However, we got your seats and there was a broom leaned against my seat, and so much popcorn in all 3 of our seats that I had to use the broom to finish cleaning our seats out. I also had to discard a half drunken drink that was in my holder. The broom was still there when we left.

Great place, just don’t choose the D-Box seat C10 in auditorium 4! You can see it online and purchase it, but doesn’t exist!! Well sorta!! There is a D-Box seat but it can’t be activated due to it not sinked in their system. Even though it’s online.

Past few times I have visited the lobby has been dirty and without fail I would see a roach crawling around near my seat in the theater—not just once, but the past 2 times I’ve been. There are also bugs flying around during the movie. Some of the reclining seats dont work. Overall a gross experience for what should be relaxing and enjoyable.

Sitting in a theater watching trailers (and way too many commercials…) and I’m not sure I can make it through the movie because it stinks so bad in here. Hey Cinemark South Park Meadows: when was the last time you cleaned & disinfected your theaters? The seats are greasy and sticky. You can’t tell the row # on the carpet it’s so dirty. I feel like I want to run out real quick and buy a bunch of cans of Lysol. Nasty, nasty, nasty.
